TRAINING SELF-RESCUER
The disassembly, disinfection and assembly of training self-rescuers is performed by a specially trained
person appointed by the mine order, who completed training and annual accreditation from DEZEGA
and it is confirmed by an appropriate certificate.
The HME-imitator is a subject to disinfection.
For HME-imitator disinfection, it is needed to:
• disconnect the HME from the breathing tube;
• disinfect the mouthpiece assembled with HME according to the requirements, specified
in ANNEX A;
CAUTION!
Do not use organic solvents (gasoline, kerosene, acetone) and chlorine bleach for the disinfection. It is allowed
to use other disinfectants, following the corresponding instructions for use for these agents.

chamber or air dryers for drying;
• carefully dry HME-imitator with warm air.
CAUTION!
Drying the HME-imitator with direct sunlight or radiant heat is strictly prohibited.
11. INSPECTION OF THE TECHNICAL CONDITION
OF THE TRAINING SELF-RESCUER
During the operation of the training self-rescuer, each disassembly and assembly, it is necessary
to check the technical condition of all nodes and parts for damage.
During storage, the training self-rescuer does not require maintenance. During training sessions,
after each donning, the self-rescuer must be brought back to its original state. Before using for
the first time, it is recommended to remove carefully the covers and examine the packing set,
carried out at the factory.
In case of damage or loss of any parts or nodes of the training self-rescuer during the practice
exercises, you can order them additionally (ANNEX B).
12. STORAGE AND TRANSPORT REQUIREMENTS
The transportation of packed training self-rescuers should be carried out in closed, clean and dry
vehicles by all types of transport at temperature from -50 °С to +50 °С and relative air humidity
up to 100%.
The self-rescuers are transported in accordance with the rules for the carriage of goods in force
for this type of transport.
In case of transportation at subzero temperatures, it is necessary to hold the CARBO-T/CARBO-30T
training self-rescuers in the premise with a room temperature for 24 hours before their intended use.
During warehouse storage, training self-rescuers shall be stored in the original transportation packing
at air temperature range from +5 °C to +40 °C and relative humidity of not more than 80%, separately
from corroding substances.
Between the practice exercises, the training self-rescuers should be stored in a special premise ready
for the next practice.
