4G Lift Dialer & 4G Lift Dialer Box Introduction
1. INTRODUCTION
Thanks for purchasing a Digicom product!
4G Lift Dialer and Voice Box constitute a bidirectional Emergency phone for lifts system, compliant to EN 81-28, EN 81-20,
EN 81-70 regulations.
The Emergency phone allows the users blocked in a lift cabin to send an alarm via GSM to
a Service Center or to the authorized Technical people.
In the lift cabin the emergency call is activated by pressing the alarm button connected to
the VoiceBox terminal board.
The people in the lift cabin will be reassured with a comfort message and a yellow bright
light will turn on to indicate that the alarm has been sent. At the same time the Emergency
phone calls the Service Center or the technical people (these numbers must be set by the
lift manager installer).
When the Emergency phone establishes the voice
communication with the Service Center, the people in
the cabin will see that a green light turns on indicating
that the alarm has been received and they will be
able to have a speakerphone conversation with the
technical people in order to receive assistance.

Locate a proper position for the various parts of the system and before the final mounting check the following:
• 4G Lift Dialer Emergency phone
• SIM correctly inserted;
• antenna connector screwed until its end point;
Apply the magnetic base of the antenna only on metal zone, without connection to earth
Please use eventually the metal support, find in the package, fixed it to the wall
• good GSM signal: yellow led on or blinking;
• correct connection and correspondence of the cables to the pins of terminal board;
• terminal board screws tightened all the way down;
• terminal board completely fitted on the 4G Lift Dialer.
• Voice Box speakerphone
• Once Voice Box has been placed behind the car operating panel, it won't be possible anymore to access the terminal board
for connections;
• connection to the terminal board of the 2 wires coming from 4G Lift Dialer;
• connection of the 2 wires for the lift alarm button:the button must a 2 contact buttons to separate the circuit for the activation
of the alarm call from the bell circuit;
• for model 8D5780, jumper to identify Top – Pit;
• correct display of the light signals behind the car operating panel;
• correct correspondence of the microphone behind the hole on the car operating panel;
• correct correspondence of the speaker behind the holes on the car operating panel.
Once the installation is completed you can go on with the configuration of the Emergency phone in few minutes with one of
the following possibilities, as you prefer:
• Application for Android smartphones: via SMS or BLE;

2.4. BEFORE POWERING LIFT DIALER ON
Place 4G Lift Dialer where you prefer, in a zone with a good GSM signal, and go on as follows:
1. Open the SIM holder by slightly pressing and pushing it horizontally toward
the internal side of the card.
Now insert the SIM card. Pay attention to the SIM cut corner and be sure
the golden contacts of the SIM are turned downwards when closing the SIM
holder.
Close the SIM holder by slightly pressing and pushing it horizontally in the
opposite side to block it and correctly fix the SIM.
2. Connect the LTE antenna you find in the package to the golden SMA
connector. Screw it clockwise; in case of problem do not force but remove
the antenna and try again.
Apply the magnetic base of the antenna only on metal zone,
without connection to earth.
Please use eventually the metal support, find in the package,
fixed it to the wall.
3. Connect pins 5-6 of 4G Lift Dialer to pins 1-2 of Voice Box.
PINS CAN BE CROSSED.
For a good audio quality use a twisted pair for the connection. Otherwise you can use two unused wires already present in the
car cable or use the the wires already present and used for the bell after having modified the system as described in paragraph
RELAY1: BELL MANAGEMENT.
In this case the audio quality could not be the best one.
4. Connect eventually the external button (or buttons) on Voice Box.
5. Now power 4G Lift Dialer on following the polarity:
pin 21 : 12-24 Vdc
pin 22 : GND
We suggest to use Digicom power supply for 4G Lift Dialer:
Switching power supply (IN: 100-240 Vac / 50-60Hz / 0,5A – OUT 12 Vdc / 1A) (code 8D6065)
USE ONLY A LIMITED POWER SOURCE (LPS) POWER SUPPLY, ACCORDING TO EN 60950-1 (2.5) REQUIREMENTS.
6. Check the LED power on:
