INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
NOMAD™ SERIES REAR BUMPER
Application: 2015-20 Ford Transit Rear
2. Using a Torx T25, remove the screws holding the bumper cover to body, near the door
weatherstrip.
3. Using a trim tool, remove the plastic push clips on the bottom of the bumper cover,
then take off the center and ends of the bumper cover. In addition to the screws,
there's a small clip under each taillight.
4. Using a 15mm socket and 18mm wrench, remove the 8 bolts that hold hitch to frame
and 4 bolts that secure the hitch to the bumper. Remove the hitch.
5. Remove the trailer wiring plug from the hitch. Using a body saw or cutoff wheel,
remove the bracket for the trailer plug. The plug will be installed into the new bumper.
6. Using a 13mm socket, remove the 8 bolts securing bumper to frame – retain these for
the new brackets. Remove the bumper.
Install Your New Bumper:
1. Before installing the bumper, install reverse lights (if ordered) per the manufacturer's
instructions.
2. Install the wear pad and shocks onto the bumper using hardware from BW00-0020.
This can be done after the bumper is installed, but it’s much easier now. Pictures 3-4
3. Using your mark from step one of removal, cut the plastic bumper cover at 4.75”
down from top and reinstall the top portion using the OEM hardware and clips.
