BH6 Cranes Service Manual
Pump Oil leak
Sometimes the pump of the cranes BH6PC600 BH6FC1000 BH6FC2000 start to leak small
amount of oil as the next pictures show:
The main reason is the valve locking knob is not correctly tightened or that the thread is
not totally sealed:

The official action for the units under warranty period is to replace the whole pump by a
new one:

For the units out of warranty and for the end users ready to do it, there is a way to solve
the oil leak. This manual explains step by step how to do it

Disassemble the pump assy and put it
over a workbench as the picture shows

Remove the valve screw by turning it
counterclockwise

Once the valve screw is removed, turn
the knob strongly counterclockwise in
order to unscrew it
If the valve knob is too hard and it is not
possible to unscrew it by hand, use
tooling to increase the untighten torque
force
Once the valve knob is unscrewed,
remove it

Clean and dry the male and female
threads
Apply Loctite 270 around all the male
thread surface

Wait around a minute to get sure that the
Loctite is inside the whole thread and to
avoid excess of Loctite.
Too much Loctite could block the valve
relief system
Once the Loctite is correctly applied,
assemble the valve knob
Screw the valve knob by turning it
clockwise

Screw the valve knob totally until it does
not let you turn it more with your hand
Clean of the rests of Loctite
Apply Loctite 270 around all the valve
screw

Wait around a minute to get sure that the
Loctite is inside the whole thread and to
avoid excess of Loctite.
Assemble the screw valve
Tight the screw valve by using a wrench
and turning it clockwise

Let the Loctite get dry during a couple of
hours and, from time to time, check that
the valve knob works by opening-closing
it in order to get sure that is gets not
blocked
Assemble the pump

Purge the air and refill the pump with oil
