questo apparecchio è stato costruito in conformità
alle direttive CEE 89/336 e 73/23. Le
prove/verifiche sono state eseguite in accordo alla
norma EN-60-950 e successivi emendamenti.

accordance with EU 89/336 and 73/23
regulations. All tests/checks have been
carried out according to EN-60-950 standard

instructions supplied by bancor. Furthermore, as
for accident prevention, this device complies with

personale professionalmente qualificato. Un’errata

General instructions
The installation must be carried on by
qualified personnel in accordance with the
bancor instructions. The manufacturer
refuses all responsibility for damages to
persons, animals or things caused by a wrong
installation.
The electric safety of this device is
guaranteed only when it is correctly
connected to supplied power supply.
The device shall be connected only to the
provided power supply.
The manufacturer is not responsible for
possible damages caused by such
non-observance.
N.B.: This device shall be used only for the
purposes for which it has been expressly
manufactured.
Any other use is to be considered as
improper and dangerous.

Spare parts
In case of request for original spare parts, cite

•Non toccare l’apparecchio con mani bagnate od

•Non tirare il cavo di connessione, o
l’apparecchio stesso, per staccare la spina di

disinserire la connessione dal PC e

Per eventuali riparazioni, rivolgersi unicamente a
Centri d’Assistenza Tecnica autorizzati bancor.

•Avoid falls of clips, metal pins and paper
pieces in the cheque reading zone.
•In case of fault, malfunctioning or
cleaning operations of the device,
disconnect both the plug from PC and
from the power supply.
For any repair, please address only to
Technical Assistance Centres authorised by
bancor and ask for original spare parts.

L’apparecchio è spedito all’interno di una scatola di
cartone.
Al ricevimento dell’apparecchio controllare che
l’imballo sia integro, la fornitura corrisponda alle
specifiche dell’ordine (vedi bolla di consegna), non
vi siano danni e che l’imballo contenga:
1) Apparecchio base
2) Cavo di connessione USB
3) Alimentatore
4) KIT di pulizia
5) Manuale d’uso
6) CD-ROM d’installazione.
In caso di danni o pezzi mancanti, informare
immediatamente e in modo dettagliato lo
spedizioniere e la bancor.

During the transport, the device is packed in a
carton box.
On receiving the device check that the
packaging is undamaged; the supply
corresponds to the order specifications (see
delivery note), there is no damage and that
thepackagingcontains:
1) Standard LECTOR device
2) USB cable.
3) Power supply
4) Cleaning KIT
5) User manual
6) Installation CD-ROM.
In case of damages or missing parts
immediately inform the forwarding agent and
the area dealer in detail.
All the dimensions given in the catalogue are
not binding and refer to the standard device.
The drawings and any other document
delivered together with the device are property of
bancor, who reserves all rights.
They cannot be made available for third
parties.
Therefore, even the partial reproduction of the

Messa in opera
Togliere l’apparecchio dall'imballo.
NON DISPERDERE L’IMBALLO NELL’AM-BIENTE.
Posizionare l'apparecchio su un piano liscio e
perfettamente orizzontale, lontano da
fonti di calore. Non è necessario
spegnere il computer per collegare il
dispositivo USB.
Per mettere il dispositivo in funzione,
eseguire le seguenti operazioni:
1) Prima di collegare il dispositivo al
PC, inserire il CD-ROM allegato a
questo manuale nel lettore CD e
seguire le istruzioni. Se non parte in
automatico, lanciare “setup.exe” dal
cd (fig.1).
Il SW installa sia i driver che il SW di
dimostrazione (fig 2-6).
2) Collegare il dispositivo
all’’alimentatore in dotazione.
3) Inserire l’alimentatore in
un’opportuna presa d’alimentazione
facilmente accessibile, in prossimità
del dispositivo.
4) Collegare il dispositivo al PC con il
cavo USB in dotazione. La porta USB
del PC è usualmente identificata con
l’etichetta . I due connettori del
cavo fornito sono diversi e si
collegano solo da un lato. Se il
connettore non entra, non insistere;
controllare il tipo di connettore ed il
verso d’inserimento.
5) Attendere l’installazione dei
dispositivi. Uno o più dispositivi
saranno installati, a seconda delle
opzioni HW.
6) Lanciare la “Console” da
“Programmi”, “Bancor” (fig. 7).
7) Effettuare una calibrazione
utilizzando il comando di
“Calibrazione”, come proposto dal
programma stesso.
Alla fine di queste operazioni, il
dispositivo è pronto per l’uso.
Dopo queste operazioni,
l’apparecchio è pronto all’uso.
Starting
Unpack the device.
DO NOT WASTE THE PACKING IN THE
ENVIRONMENT.
Place the device on a smooth
and perfectly horizontal
surface, far from heat
sources.
It is not required to switch off
your computer to connect the
USB device.
To install the device, carry on
the following operations:
1) Before connecting the
device to the PC, insert the
Installation CD included in
this manual and follow the
instructions.
If not automatically running,
launch “setup.exe” from the
cd (fig.1).
Both drivers and demo
programs are installed (fig 2-
6).
2) Connect the equipment to
the supplied power supply.
3) Insert the power supply into
the appropriate standard AC
outlet, easy accessible and
located near the equipment.
4) Connect the USB port at
the back of your computer.
PC’s USB ports are labeled
with the symbol. The
two jacks of the supplied
cable are different, and fit
only one way. If it does not
insert easily, do not force it,
but check jack and direction.
5) Wait for the completion of
the installation. One or more
devices will be installed,
according to the HW options.
6) Run the Console
application from “Programs”,
“Bancor” (fig. 7).
7) Perform a calibration using
the “Calibration”, as
requested by the application.
At the end of these
operations the device is
ready to be used.

LETTURA ASSEGNI E/O DOCUMENTI
Introdurre l’assegno nell’apposita fessura, facendo
attenzione che il fronte sia rivolto verso l’operatore
(Fig. 7).
USO DELLE CARTE DI CREDITO
•Lettore/scrittore di smart card
Orientare la carta con il chip rivolto
fronalmentee e verso il basso; introdurla fino in
fondo (Fig. 8 – 1 e 2).
•Lettore badge
Posizionare la carta con la banda magnetica in
basso, rivolta verso l’operatore; introdurla dal
lato destro del gradino del lettore e farla
scorrere dentro il lettore sino alla sua
fuoriuscita sul lato sinistro (Fig. 8 - 3).
PULSANTI ED INDICATORI
•Un led verde segnala che il dispositivo è
alimentato tramite alimentatore esterno
•Per resettare il dispositivo tenere premuto il
pulsante di reset nero per qualche secondo.

CHEQUES AND/OR DOCUMENTS READING
Introduce the cheque into the appropriate
slot taking care that the front side is turned to
the operator (Fig. 7).
USE OF CREDIT CARDS
•Reader/writer of smart card
Position the card introduce with the chip
on the forehead and downwards side;
insert the card up to the bottom of the
device. (Fig. 8 – 1 and 2)
•Badge reader
Position the card with the magnetic band
downwards, in front of the operator; insert
the card from the right side of the reader
step and slide it in the reader until it goes
out on the left side (Fig. 8 – 3).
PUSHBUTTON AND INDICATORS
•A green led means that the external
power supply is feeding the equipment.
•Press the black reset pushbutton for
some seconds to reset the device.

Introdurre l’assegno nell’apposita fessura, facendo
attenzione che il fronte sia rivolto verso il basso e
con la banda magnetica verso il lato esterno destro.
L’assegno va introdotto per il lato corto in posizione
centrale (Fig. 9). Se presente l’ADF allineare i
pareggiatori al centro

ALIMENTATORE AUTOMATICO FOGLI ADF
•Il modulo ADF è previsto per l’utilizzo di 50 fogli
da 80 gr/m^2
•Per un corretto funzionamento del modulo ADF
è richiesto un rodaggio dei materiali di circa 100
fogli.
Prima di caricare smazzare ed allineare
rigorosamente i fogli per evitare che rimangano
attaccati l’uno all’altro (Fig. 10). Se non risultano
smazzati a sufficienza è possibile che vengano
presi fogli doppi o si causino inceppamenti.

Assicurarsi che le guide per i fogli siano ben
posizionate rispetto alla dimensione del foglio
stesso. Qualora sia posizionate in posizione errata
si potrebbero avere foglio non presi, inceppamenti
e malfunzionamenti. Suggeriamo inoltre di
posizionare il primo foglio da solo e poi caricare
tutti gli altri.
MICR CHEQUES READING
Introduce the cheque into the appropriate
slot taking care that the front side is turned to
the bottom and magnetic swipe is on the
center of the lector and with the short side
first (Fig. 9). If ADF is present aligne the two
holder in the center.

AUTOMATIC DOCUMENT FEEDER
•ADF is projected to work 50 sheets of 80
gr/m^2 per charge
•For a correct operation of ADF it’s
required a material running in of at least
100 seethes.
Before charge thoroughly fan and tap the
paper to release sheets that may be stuck
together (Fig. 10). If they are not fanned
enough, multiple sheets of paper may be fed
at once, causing paper jams.

Be sure to check if the paper guides are at
the position of the size of the loaded paper. If
the paper guide is set at a wrong position,
this may result in misfeeds.
We suggest to put the first sheet alone and
then all the other.

L’utilizzo della stampante a 4 linee permette la
stampa grafica avanzata sui documenti
Per effettuare il cambio della cartuccia procedere
come segue:
1. Aprire il coperchio della stampante come
indicato in Fig. 11;
2. Estrarre la cartuccia esausta sollevando
la leva verde e, posizionare la cartuccia
nuova all’interno del vano come indicato
in Fig. 12;
3. Chiudere il blocco cartuccia verde e il
coperchio della stampante.

4 LINES PRINTER
4 line printer allow you to print high resolution
logo and information on documents.
To replace the empty cartridge proceed as
follow:
1. Opens the top cover of the module
as show in figure Fig. 11
2. Remove the empty cartridge lifting
the top green locker and replace it
with a new cartridge as shown in
Fig. 12;
3. Close the green locker and the top
cover of the module, now the
printer is ready to be used.

STAMPA TERMICA
La stampante termica è costituita da un corpo
dotato di sportello attraverso il quale si accede al
rotolo d carta e al meccanismo di stampa.
Il tasto FEED se premuto permette l’avanzamento
manuale della carta
Il led STATUS esterno visualizza lo stato della
stampante secondo la seguente tabella:

Per effettuare il cambio del rotolo di carta
procedere come segue:
1. Aprire il coperchio della stampante come
indicato in Fig. 13;
2. Posizionare il rotolo di carta all’interno del
vano, rispettando il verso di rotazione
indicato in Fig. 14;
3. Tirare la carta fino a farla uscire dal vano
e chiudere lo sportello, la stampante è
così pronta all’uso (Fig. 15).

THERMAL PRINTER
Thermal printer is composed by a central
body through which access to the paper roll
and the printer mechanism.
FEED button is used to advance manually the
roll when necessary.
The External status LED show to the user the
printer status according to the below table:

To replace the paper roll proceed as below:
1. Open the transparent cover as
shown in Fig. 13
2. Insert the paper roll inside the hole
respecting the rotating versus as
shown in Fig. 14
3. Pull the paper till it comes out the
hole and close the cover, printer is
now ready to be used (Fig. 15).

Pulizia
L’apparecchio è dotato di un KIT di pulizia
appositamente sviluppato (Fig. 2) per rimuovere
eventuale sporco depositato sul vetro dei sensori.
Qualora abbiate terminato i KIT in vostro possesso
potete acquistarli contattando bancor o sul sito
bancor shop.
Fig. 1 mostra un esempio di immagine di un foglio
bianco dove dei depositi causano righe verticali
scure.
Per effettuare la pulizia, introdurre il
panno come un comune foglio di
carta ed effettuare la procedura di
pulizia che trovate nel menu della
console “Pulizia Scanner”
(strumenti / pulizia scanner),
ripetendo più volte, se necessario,
l’operazione.
Per un’ottimale pulizia del lettore la
procedura va eseguita
settimanalmente.
Non pulire per nessun motivo
l’apparecchio con pagliette o
prodotti corrosivi.
Bancor non è responsabile dei
danni provocati al lettore qualora
vengano utilizzati altre soluzioni non
fornite da bancor (panni, liquidi, ecc…).
N.B. L’utilizzo del KIT di pulizia è per un uso
preventivo e non correttivo, i suoi benefici si
hanno da un regolare uso secondo quanto
indicato nel presente manuale.
Demolizione finale
Alla fine del ciclo di vita, la demolizione fisica finale
e lo smaltimento dei componenti costituenti
l'apparecchio (materiali metallici, chimico-plastici,
solidi e non) deve avvenire nel rispetto del sistema
di raccolta dei prodotti elettrici in conformità alla
legislazione RAEE (Direttiva 2002/96/CE)
Cleaning
The device is equipped with a cleaning KIT
specifically developed (Fig. 2) to remove
dirty on the glass of the sensors. In case you
have finished your KIT you can buy them
contacting bancor or on our web site bancor
shop
Fig. 1 shows a sample of image of a white
paper where dirty is causing vertical black
lines.
To perform cleaning, insert
the cloth as a paper sheet and
lunch the cleaning procedure
you find in the menu inside
the console “Scanner
Cleaning” (instruments /
scanner cleaning).
For an optimal maintenance
of the Lector this procedure
must be done once a week.
Do not clean for any reason
the device with corrosive
products or steel wool.
Bancor is not responable for
any damage on the lector
cause by the use of different
KIT not provided by bancor.
(cloths, liquids, ecc…)
N.B. Usage of the clening KIT is for
preventative maintenance and not
corrective action. It’s benefit come for a
regular use as indicated in this manual.
Final disposing
At the end of the device life, the final
disposing of the device and the elimination of
its parts (solid and non-solid chemical, plastic
and metal materials) must be done in
accordance with the systems for used
electronics products with legislation under the
WEEE directive (Directive 2002/96/CE).
