Aura series getting started guide
Please read before use
Reminder: Aura is a new smart scanner; very different to traditional equipment. You must read this
getting started guide to become a pro quickly.
1. Assembly
1. Take out the Aura scanner, black work mat, and other accessories.
2. Place Aura on a flat surface. Align the notch on the black work mat carefully with the base of
Aura.

2. Mode descriptions
Aura has 2 modes: Table Lamp and Scanner.
Long press knob for 1s: switch on/off
Short press knob: switch between Table Lamp and Scanner mode.
3. Table Lamp mode
1. Connect the power and wait for the power indicator light to turn on. Long press the knob for
1s to enter Table Lamp mode by default.
2. The table lamp brightness has 6 levels. Turn the knob to change the brightness.
3. Yo u can control the lamp with your phone (turn on/off and adjust the light settings of the
lamp). Scan the QR code to download the CZUR app; register and add “Aura” functions to
control the lamp.
4. Scanner mode
1. In Table Lamp mode, short press the knob to switch to Scanner mode.
2. Download and install the CZUR Aura software on your computer. Official website download
link: www.czur.com (Windows users can install from the in-box CD).
3. Connect Aura to the computer through the in-box USB cable. Connect the foot pedal to Aura.
4. Run the CZUR Aura software. Configure the scanning settings. Use the foot pedal to start
scanning.

5. Scanned files will be saved on the local drive. (You can c ustomize the save destination.)
5. Smart scanning description
1. Aura is not only able to scan single sheet documents and cards; it can even scan bound
business contracts, books, files, etc.
2. Aura processes the scanned paper in 3 modes: (1) “Flat Singe Page”; (2) “Facing Pages”; (3)
“Manual Selection”.
3. Aura has different ways of smart processing depending on the document. It will automatically
optimize image processing depending on the paper layout.
6. Special instructions
1. When scanning, prevent strong ambient light from interfering with the laser lines. (For example,
keep away from windows with direct sunlight.)
2. Correct placement of the black work mat: The black work mat at must cover the entire display

area so that the edges do not show (picture A).
3. Try to center the scanned paper to get the best scan quality (picture A).
4. Three laser lines will turn on every time you scan. When the laser lines turn off, then the scan is
completed. Keep the paper still while the laser lines are on (picture A).
5. When scanning “Facing Pages” (bound papers), you should use the finger cots to avoid finger
marks, and the correct holding method must be used (picture B).
7. Frequently asked questions
1. Aura uses UVC standard protocols and is classified as a standard driverless device. If the
device is not recognized by the computer, you can try the following troubleshooting
methods:
1） Turn Aura off, disconnect power adapter, then power back on after it is connected
to the computer.
2） Restart Aura; reconnect the USB cable.
3） Switch to another USB port on the computer.
4） Close anti-virus software, security, and back end defensive software on the PC.
5） Check “device manager” on the PC. If the yellow exclamation mark/unknown
device appears, right click to update the drivers or disable then re-enable the device.
Restart the CZUR Aura software, then try again.
6） Restart the computer or use another computer.
