How to service
BeoVision 5 - 42 US is supposed to be serviced in the customer home!
There are 3 back-up suitcases available.
1; Main Chassis and additional modules
2; US-box
3; Plasma Display Panel modules (only for qualified technical staff)
The contents in the suitcases makes it possible to carry out service on the product
in the home of the customer.
The identity of the product is held in the EEPROM.
The EEPROM must be transferred from the defect chassis to the new chassis.
After having replaced the faulty chassis, please read out the error codes, write
them down and return them with the defect chassis.
Then clear the error codes.
Cómo realizar el servicio
El servicio de BeoVision 5 - 42 US se debe realizar en el domicilio del cliente.
Hay tres maletas de módulos disponibles.
1; Chasis principal y módulos adicionales
2; Módulo US-box
3; Módulos del panel de visualización de plasma (sólo para personal técnico
especializado)
El contenido de las maletas permite reparar el equipo en casa del cliente.
La identidad del equipo se conserva en la memoria EEPROM.
La EEPROM debe transferirse del chasis defectuoso al nuevo chasis.
Una vez sustituido el chasis defectuoso, lea los códigos de error, anótelos y
adjúntelos con el chasis defectuoso.
Después, borre los códigos de error.

Handling the product
Warning
Static electricity may destroy the product.
Use of ESD-mat
A static-protective field service kit, including ESD-mat, must always be used when
the product is disassembled and there is direct access to eg. modules or internal
wiring.
Follow the instructions in the guide.
The ESD-mat must never be connected to the product when mains is applied.
Handling
The Plasma Display Panel must always be placed vertical to avoid damaging it self.
Whenever possible place the PDP in the servicestand.
Use only the micro fibre cloth, part no. 3375706 to clean the Plasma Display Panel.
Do not use any kind of cleaning detergents on the Plasma Display Panel.
Lithium battery
Warning:
Short-circuit and/or overcharging some types of lithium batteries may result in a
violent explosion.
Safety components
When replacing components with this symbol, the same type must be used (same
values for eg. ohm and watt).
The component must be mounted in the same way as the one it replaces.

Manejo del equipo
Advertencia
La electricidad estática puede destruir el equipo.
Uso de la alfombrilla de protección antiestática
Al desmontar el producto y acceder, por ejemplo, a los módulos o al cableado interno,
siempre debe utilizarse el kit de servicio de campo con protección estática, que
incluye la alfombrilla de protección antiestática.
Siga las instrucciones de la guía.
Nunca debe conectarse la alfombrilla de protección antiestática al equipo si éste
estáconectado a la red eléctrica.
Manejo
El panel de visualización de plasma (PDP) debe colocarse siempre en posición vertical
para evitar que se dañe.
Siempre que sea posible coloque el PDP en el soporte destinado al efecto.
Utilice sólo el paño de microfibras, nºde referencia 3375706, para limpiar el panel
de visualización de plasma.
No utilice detergentes de ningún tipo para limpiar el panel de visualización de
plasma.
Batería de litio
Advertencia:
El cortocircuito y/o sobrecarga de algunos tipos de baterías de litio puede ocasionar
una explosión violenta.
Componentes de seguridad
Cuando se sustituyan componentes con este símbolo, hay que utilizar componentes
del mismo tipo (es decir, con los mismos valores, por ejemplo, en ohmios o vatios).
El componente debe colocarse en la misma posición que el componente sustituido.
