Analyzers in LCD projectors
Depending on the type of LCD projector the analyzers used may differ. The main differences reside in the mechanical mounting
system and the material used, analyzers may be made of glass or saphir.

Some projector (RST version) are equipped with adapted analyzers, please contact Barco
Always check the type of analyzer and the type of projector and make sure to order the right analyzer.

2. ACCESS TO THE ANALYZERS
Particularities
Depending on the projector the procedure to access the analyzers may be different.
In the RSIM6 projector the top cover can be removed without removing the Lens whereas in the 6300/6400 projector the lens has
to be removed to allow cover removal.
In the images the cover color may not always coincide with the reality
2.1 Removing the lens (only for 6300/6400)
How to remove the lens ?
1. Open the lens cover by pivoting it backwards and hook it of. (image 2-1)
2. When necessary (for motorized lenses only) disconnect J4 (image 2-2)
3. Loosen the fixation screws of the motor part and pivot it upwards.
4. Open both lens locks by pulling them backwards (support the lens with one hand). (image 2-3)
5. Take the lens out of the lens house.

2.2 Removing the Top Cover
Location
The Top Cover is located on the Top side of the projector.

Necessary Tool
• Flat blade screwdriver 8 mm.
Be sure the Projector Handle is in the inserted position whenremovingtheTopCover.
How to remove the Top Cover
1. Remove the Lens Cover. (image 2-5)
2. Pull off the 3 rubber sealing pieces covering the Top Cover screws. (image 2-6)
Tip: Use the flat blade screwdriver to pull off / slide in the tops of the 3 rubber pieces.
3. Turn out the 3 screws connecting the Top Cover to the Projector Frame. (image 2-7)
4. Remove the Top Cover.
5. Reverse this procedure to reinstall the Top Cover.

2.3 Removing the EMC plat
How to remove the EMC plate ?
1. Loosen the screw B retaining the electrical conductor. (image 2-8)
2. Turn out the screws A retaining the little plate
3. Remove the little plate
4. Turn carefully the remaining screws out. (image 2-9)

3.1 Removing the Analyzers
Necessary tools
• flat screwdriver
• Philips screwdriver
How to remove the analyzers ?
1. Remove the power cable (1) (image 3-1)
2. Remove the flat cables (2), disconnect by simultaneously pulling out the 2 mini locks on both sides of the flat cable connector.
Caution: Do not touch the contacts of the flat cable when removing the flat cable otherwise damage my occur by oxidation of
these contacts.
Do not use any tools when (dis)connecting a flat cable connector, otherwise damage may occur on the mini locks.
3. Loosen the 4 screws and remove the buffer module (image 3-2)
4. Loosen the 3 screws and remove the metallic plate (image 3-3)
5. Remove the analyzer by pulling it slightly laterally to free fixation holes and sliding it gently out of the assembly. One may use a
screwdriver to pull out the analyzer (by putting it in the screwdriver opening) (image 3-4)

How to mount the analyzers ?
1. To mount the analyzers proceed by reversing above procedure
Always mount with the reference dots oriented towards the outside of the assembly (towards the LCD driver)
