Barco realized a multi-channel display system on a huge,
8.45m curved screen with a height of 2.38m that com-
pletely replaced aging workstations with regular computer
screens. Three 3-chip DLP Galaxy projectors together deliver
one seamless image with an excellent color and brightness
uniformity over the total display surface. The projectors are
aligned in rear-projection, so that the team can take a close
look at each detail without casting annoying shadows on
the screen.
Advanced passive Infitec stereo separation complemented
with Barco's DynaColor color correction results in
unmatched depth perception. Optimum performance of the
display is guaranteed at all times thanks to the LDAT laser
array allowing easy and quick projector realignment when-
ever necessary.
Barco's latest state of the art display technology at CNOOC's
evaluation center at Tianjin contributes to precise analysis
of geophysical subsurface data, enhances recovery and
optimizes deepwater engineering and marginal oilfields
development. It is an important support for CNOOC to real-
ize its strategic objective to put technical innovation at the
core of its competitiveness.
