3. Connection via Bluetooth settings
Optional steps to reset the scanner to factory default and delete all existing Bluetooth
connections.
1. Set the BCS3678ex scanner to Factory Defaults.
2. Unpairing all connections of the BCS3678 scanner.
Steps to establishing a Bluetooth connection between the barcode scanner and Pixavi Phone.
1. Scan the “HID BT LE (Discoverable)”.
Enables the host to establish an HID (Human Interface Device) Keyboard Profile connection
with the scanner over Bluetooth Low Energy radio. The scanner is discoverable (Peripheral
mode).
To establish a connection (initial setup only):
- Scan the HID BT LE (Discoverable) barcode.
- From the host, discover Bluetooth devices
- Select your scanner from your discovered device list.

2. Turn on Bluetooth on the Pixavi Phone.
3. Open the Bluetooth settings and tab on “Pair new device”.

4. Select the barcode scanner.
5. If the connection is successful, the scanner appears in the section “Currently connected” with
its name and serial number.

4. Connection via Zebra Scan-To-Connect application
Optional steps to reset the scanner to factory default and delete all existing Bluetooth
connections.
1. Set the BCS3678ex scanner to Factory Defaults.
2. Unpairing all connections of the BCS3678ex scanner.
Steps to establishing a Bluetooth connection between the barcode scanner and Pixavi Phone
via Zebra Scan-to-Connect utility.
1. Scan-to-Connect utility is available as a “.apk” file download or in the Google Play store.
Download the “.apk” file of Scan-To-Connect Utility from the Zebra Website:

Install it directly from Google Play Store.
Scan-To-Connect Utility for Android
The Scan-To-Connect (STC) Utility enables a Zebra/BARTEC (BCS3678ex) Bluetooth
scanner to pair to a phone or tablet in one simple step, without having to modify your app.
Unlike standard HID keyboards, the STC Utility supports an enhanced HID keyboard, which
assures your data is received by your phone or tablet. If corrupted, it will be retransmitted.
If lost, you get an error beep to rescan the item.
The STC Utility also has a virtual keyboard to manually enter data for items that are not
barcoded, or if the barcode is unreadable (ie. Damaged).

2. If you use the “.apk” file then copy the file to your Pixavi Phone and start the installation with
tab on it. After Installation executes the application.

3. The Scan-to-Connect utility automatically generates a pairing barcode.
Scan the pairing barcode with the BCS3678ex scanner to establish the connection.
