How to mount the Sentido front cover
First mount the Sentido switch in a standard European backbo . Refer to the installation manual of the Sentido switch.
Caution: when fi ing the screws, do not apply to much force since this will deform the plastic surrounding the opening E.
Doing so might disable the Sentido front cover to be mounted onto the Sentido switch!
Caution: using screws that are to big might disable mounting the Sentido front cover onto the Sentido switch. The Sentido
front cover should be completely hiding the Sentido switch when mounted. If not the capacitive coupling to the Sentido front
cover might not work properly, this will result in a reduced sensitivity of the switch!
Push the Sentido front cover firmly onto the Sentido switch. Take care that the guides C are well lined up to the guides of the
Sentido switch. The front cover is fi ed to the switch by means of a tight fitting of the cover onto the outside of the Sentido
switch.
Caution: you will see on the backside of the Sentido front 2 cover that there are only two capacitive coupling surfaces D pre-
sent. Line up the capacitive coupling surfaces to the appropriate touch sensors of the Sentido switch. Normally, if the Sentido
front cover is mounted horizontally, these should line up with touchsensors 1 and 4.
Caution: if you install the Sentido front cover while the Sentido switch is operating, the Sentido switch will light up like it was to
be touched. This ‘false detection’ is caused by the presence of the Sentido front cover. This situation will remain for 60 se-
conds, after that the Sentido switch will self calibrate and the device will work properly again. You can force the calibration by
removing the power from the device and powering it up while the Sentido front cover is in place.
Caution: not mounting the Sentido front cover correctly may result in a poor sensitivity of the touch sensors. Please be aware
to always push the front cover onto the Sentido switch as far as possible.
Operating the Sentido switch
Touching a single surface of the sentido switch will make the RGB led turn white as long as you keep touching the surface.
Touching more then one surface at the same time will activate the comfort function and turn the RGB led orange as a visual
feedback.
These colours can not be changed.
In order to detect the difference between touching one surface or more then one surface, the surfaces need to be touched for
a minimum amount of time.
