Operating Instructions
This appliance is intended for household use only.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT
attempt to defeat this safety feature. For U.S. residents only: In the event of
immersion, the protective device will not allow the appliance to operate.
Periodically check the safety plug to verify that it is in proper working order.
Simply place the plug into the outlet and press the TEST button. The appliance
should immediately stop. To resume operating the appliance, press the RESET
button. In the event the TEST button does not work properly, return the appliance
to the manufacturer.
TOURMALINE AND CERAMIC TECHNOLOGY
Airflow contacts the internal tourmaline gemstone element to emit maximum hair-
conditioning ions for ultra-soft, smooth, shiny hair with supreme manageability
and without frizz. Ceramic’s high heat penetrates hair follicles quickly from the
inside out, helping hair retain its own natural moisture while minimizing damage
for soft, luxurious styles.
Worldwide Dual Voltage
To change the voltage, use a small screwdriver. Be certain the appliance is “off.” The
125-volt position is used for North America; several overseas countries require 250 volt-
age. For a 250-volt connection, use a plug adapter of the proper configuration.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The dryer Heat/Speed Switch must be in and remain in the
“low” operating position when using 250 volts. This is normal for dual-voltage
appliances.
Drying and Styling
• Gently towel-dry hair to remove excess water.
• Start with a quick, initial drying. Set dryer to highest heat and speed. With
head forward, flip hair over and dry the under-layers first.
• DO NOT concentrate airflow on any one area for an extended period of
time.
• When hair is almost completely dry, lower heat and speed setting and
begin to style hair as desired.
• Push the Cold Shot Button to set the style with a cool flow of air once the
desired style is achieved.
• When drying is complete, wait for the appliance to cool before storing. DO
NOT wrap the cord around the dryer. Store the appliance in a cool, dry
place.
Concentrator
By concentrating the airflow, individual sections of the hair can be styled. To attach,
simply press concentrator into air outlet until it snaps into place. To remove, allow dryer
and attachment to cool, then gently pull away from dryer. DO NOT concentrate airflow
on any one area for an extended period of time.
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is equipped with a thermostat that may cycle OFF or cause the
heaters to turn off if the temperature exceeds comfort level due to partially blocked
air inlet or outlet openings. In the event that the appliance stops or releases only
cool air during use, turn off the switches and allow the appliance to cool down, at
which time the thermostat will automatically reset. During use, DO NOT block the
air openings. When using this appliance near water (e.g. bathrooms), the use of an
electrical outlet protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter is recommended.
Maintenance.
Your appliance is virtually maintenance-free. No lubrication is needed. Keep
heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning becomes
necessary, unplug the appliance from the power source and wipe the exterior with
a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.
Dust and lint can be removed from air intake openings with a small brush or
vacuum cleaner brush attachment. Do not allow moisture or additional debris to
enter the unit while cleaning.
WARNING: If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair. This appliance has
no user-serviceable parts.

TECNOLOGÍA TURMALINA Y CERÁMICA

Tensión doble mundial

Concentrador

bends or folds, and appliance should be placed in a secure, dry location out of
reach of children.

17. This is a dual-voltage appliance; it was set at the factory to operate at
125 volts. Refer to the “Operating Instructions” section of this manual for
conversion to 250-volt operation.
