This appliance is intended for household use only.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in
a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature. For U.S. residents only:
In the event of an unusual circumstance such as immersion, the protective device will not allow the dryer to
operate. Periodically check the safety plug to verify it is in proper working order. Plug the appliance into an
electrical outlet and press the TEST button. The dryer should stop immediately. To resume operation, press
the RESET button.

HELPFUL STYLING HINTS
• Plug the appliance into an electrical outlet and adjust the switch to the selected setting.
• Wanna have faster results? towel dry hair to remove excess water, then detangle for best results. Separate
hair into manageable sections.
• Use the LOW setting on fine or thin hair and the HIGH setting on thick and coarse hair. Use the COOL
setting to lock in the style.
• For smooth blowouts, place the Blow Out FreakTM close to the roots and brush down toward the ends. The
Ego BoostTM mixed pattern bristles detangle and style your hair in ONE STEP.
• For extra height, place close to the root and hold in place for 2 to 3 seconds (preferably Low heat setting)
• For texture try swirling/twisting small sections around the barrel as you style the length of your hair.
• Turn the appliance off when drying and styling is complete. Allow the unit to cool completely before storing.
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is equipped with a thermostat that may cycle OFF or cause the heaters to turn off if the
temperature exceeds comfort level due to partially blocked air inlet or outlet openings. In the event that the
appliance stops or releases only cool air during use, turn off the switches and allow the appliance to cool
down, at which time the thermostat will automatically reset. During use, DO NOT block the air openings.
When using this appliance near water (e.g. bathrooms), the use of an electrical outlet protected by a Ground
Fault Circuit Interrupter is recommended.
MAINTENANCE
Your appliance is virtually maintenance-free. No lubrication is needed. Keep heated surfaces clean and free
of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning becomes necessary, unplug the appliance from the power source and
wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Dust and lint can be removed from air intake openings with a small brush or vacuum cleaner brush
attachment. DO NOT allow moisture or additional debris to enter the unit while cleaning.
WARNING: If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair it. This appliance has no user-serviceable
parts.
STORAGE
Unplug appliance when not in use.
Allow appliance to cool and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord around
the appliance since this will cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Handle cord carefully for longer
life and avoid jerking, bending sharply, twisting, or straining cord, especially at plug connections.

How to Get the Look
1. PREP
Gently towel-dry hair to remove excess water. Apply Bed Head®BIG HEADTM Volume Boosting Foam to
damp hair for light hold and conditioning.
2. STYLE
Set your Bed Head®Blow Out FreakTM dryer to the highest speed and place close to the roots and brush down towards
the ends. For max volume hold close to the root for 2 to 3 seconds.
Add texture by swirling/twisting small sections around the barrel as you style the length of your hair.
3. FINISH
Switch to Cool setting to lock in the style.
