1. INTRODUCTION
Congratulations! By purchasing the KT108, you have obtained
a first-class keyboard amplifier that offers you the authentic
tube sound simulation in an amazingly compact housing. The
t o instrument inputs and the additional CD player input make
the ULTRATONE KT108 a truly flexible practice amp that ill be
tons of fun to use, no matter here or hen you use it.
VTC Virtual Tube Circuitry
The VTC Virtual Tube Circuitry as specially developed to
lend the keyboard sound the unique character of classic tube
amps.

With its CD player input, your KT108 is the ultimate practice
amp, because it couldnt be easier to play along to your favorite
music. If you dont ant anybody listening to hat youre playing,
or simply ish to avoid disturbing the neighbors, just use your

1.1 Before you get started
1.1.1 Ship ent
Your KT108 as carefully packed at the factory, and the
packaging as designed to protect the unit from rough handling.
Nevertheless, e recommend that you carefully examine the
packaging and its contents for any signs of physical damage
that may have occurred during transit.
+If the unit is damaged, please d NOT return it t
BEHRINGER. Instead, n tify y ur dealer and the
shipping c mpany immediately. Otherwise, claims
f r damage r replacement may n t be h n red.
+Always use the riginal packing cart n t prevent
damage during st rage r transp rt.
+Make sure that n children are left unsupervised
with the KT108 r its packaging.
+Please ensure pr per disp sal f all packing
materials.
1.1.2 Initial operation
Be sure that there is enough space around the unit for cooling.
To avoid overheating, please do not place the ULTRATONE near
radiators and other equipment emanating heat.
+Please keep in mind that all the equipment has t

never change r disable the gr unding n y ur
equipment r n the cables! The unit shall always
be c nnected t the mains s cket utlet with a
pr tective earthing c nnecti n.

2. WIRING TIPS
Figures 2.1 and 2.2 sho you ho to connect your keyboard
to the amplifier.
If you ant to use an effects unit (for example, the BEHRINGER
X V-AMP) to experiment ith some out-of-the-ordinary sounds,
you can connect your keyboard directly to the input of the effects
processor. Then, connect a second cable from the effects output
to the input on your keyboard amp.

3. CONTROL ELEMENTS

Connect your keyboard to the INST. 1 INPUT connector,
using a standard instrument cable equipped ith 1/4" TS
connectors.
The second instrument input (INST. 2 INPUT) can of course
be used to connect a second keyboard or a drum computer.
The volume of both instrument channels can be adjusted
using the INST. 1 VOL and INST. 2 VOL control.
Use the CD INPUT to connect the output of your CD player,
tape deck, CD or MD alkman. This ay you can play
along to music or keyboard tutorial CDs.
This connector is a 1/4" TRS jack. If your CD player is
equipped ith cinch outputs, youll need an adapter cable,
hich you can buy at your local music shop. Illustration 4.3
in chapter 4. AUDIO CONNECTIONS sho s you hat
kind of adapter to buy. You can also use a mono cable (fig.
4.4). This ill not damage your CD player or keyboard amp.
The LOW control allo s you to boost or cut the lo -
frequency range.
With the MID control you can boost or cut the mid-range
frequencies.
The HIGH control adjusts the high-frequency range.
+With all the settings the f ll wing applies: Adjusting
the t ne settings n y ur KT108 lets y u refine the
s und f y ur keyb ard; f r example, y u can add
m re depth t a bass s und, r y u can bring ut
the strings upfr nt by increasing the mids.
S metimes m re neutral settings are desired in
rder t preserve the character f the riginal
s und.
The HEADPHONES jack is for headphones. When you
plug in your headphones, the built-in loudspeaker is muted.
+The headph ne signal can als be r uted t a mixing
c ns le r s und reinf rcement system. C nnect
the headph nes utput n y ur KT108 t the line
input (LINE IN) n the c ns le (f r example,
BEHRINGER EURORACK UB1222FX-PRO). Please use a
m n cable f r this applicati n.
+S me headph nes pr duce dist rti n if the v lume
level is t high. Please cut back the v lume c ntr l
until the dist rti n disappears.
Use the POWER s itch to s itch on your KT108. The
POWER s itch should be set to Off before you connect
your keyboard amp to the mains.
+Please n te: The POWER switch d es n t disc nnect
the unit fr m the mains. Unplug the p wer c rd
when y u d nt want t use the unit f r s me time.

§ 1 OTHER WARRANTY RIGHTS AND NATIONAL LAW
1. This arranty does not exclude or limit the buyers statutory
rights provided by national la , in particular, any such rights
against the seller that arise from a legally effective purchase
contract.
2. The arranty regulations mentioned herein are applicable
unless they constitute an infringement of national arranty la .

§ 3 WARRANTY
1. BEHRINGER (BEHRINGER International GmbH including all
BEHRINGER subsidiaries listed on the enclosed page, except
BEHRINGER Japan) arrants the mechanical and electronic
components of this product to be free of defects in material and
orkmanship for a period of one (1) year* from the original date
of purchase, in accordance ith the arranty regulations
described belo . If the product sho s any defects ithin the
specified arranty period that are not excluded from this
arranty as described under § 5, BEHRINGER shall, at its
discretion, either replace or repair the product using suitable
ne or reconditioned parts. In the case that other parts are used
hich constitute an improvement, BEHRINGER may, at its
discretion, charge the customer for the additional cost of these
parts.
2. If the arranty claim proves to be justified, the product ill
be returned to the user freight prepaid.
3. Warranty claims other than those indicated above are
expressly excluded.
§ 4 RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER
1. To obtain arranty service, the buyer (or his authorized
dealer) must call BEHRINGER (see enclosed list) during normal
business hours BEFORE returning the product. All inquiries must
be accompanied by a description of the problem. BEHRINGER
ill then issue a return authorization number.
2. Subsequently, the product must be returned in its original
shipping carton, together ith the return authorization number to
the address indicated by BEHRINGER.
3. Shipments ithout freight prepaid ill not be accepted.
§ 5 WARRANTY REGULATIONS
1. Warranty services ill be furnished only if the product is
accompanied by a copy of the original retail dealers invoice.
Any product deemed eligible for repair or replacement under the
terms of this arranty ill be repaired or replaced.
2. If the product needs to be modified or adapted in order to
comply ith applicable technical or safety standards on a national
or local level, in any country hich is not the country for hich
the product as originally developed and manufactured, this
modification/adaptation shall not be considered a defect in
materials or orkmanship. The arranty does not cover any
such modification/adaptation, irrespective of hether it as
carried out properly or not. Under the terms of this arranty,
BEHRINGER shall not be held responsible for any cost resulting
from such a modification/adaptation.
3. Free inspections and maintenance/repair ork are expressly
excluded from this arranty, in particular, if caused by improper
handling of the product by the user. This also applies to defects
caused by normal ear and tear, in particular, of faders,
crossfaders, potentiometers, keys/buttons, tubes, guitar strings,
illuminants and similar parts.
4. Damages/defects caused by the follo ing conditions are
not covered by this arranty:
simproper handling, neglect or failure to operate the unit in
compliance ith the instructions given in BEHRINGER user
or service manuals.
sconnection or operation of the unit in any ay that does not
comply ith the technical or safety regulations applicable in
the country here the product is used.
sdamages/defects caused by force majeure or any other
condition that is beyond the control of BEHRINGER.
5. Any repair or opening of the unit carried out by unauthorized
personnel (user included) ill void the arranty.
6. If an inspection of the product by BEHRINGER sho s that
the defect in question is not covered by the arranty, the
inspection costs are payable by the customer.
7. Products hich do not meet the terms of this arranty ill
be repaired exclusively at the buyers expense. BEHRINGER ill
inform the buyer of any such circumstance. If the buyer fails to
submit a ritten repair order ithin 6 eeks after notification,
BEHRINGER ill return the unit C.O.D. ith a separate invoice
for freight and packing. Such costs ill also be invoiced
separately hen the buyer has sent in a ritten repair order.
§ 6 WARRANTY TRANSFERABILITY
This arranty is extended exclusively to the original buyer
(customer of retail dealer) and is not transferable to anyone
ho may subsequently purchase this product. No other person
(retail dealer, etc.) shall be entitled to give any arranty promise
on behalf of BEHRINGER.
§ 7 CLAIM FOR DAMAGES
Failure of BEHRINGER to provide proper arranty service shall
not entitle the buyer to claim (consequential) damages. In no
event shall the liability of BEHRINGER exceed the invoiced value
of the product.
