IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
WARNING: When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed to reduce the risk of re, electrical shock and/or personal injury.
1. Read all instructions before using appliance.
2. Before connecting the kettle to the power supply, check that the voltage indicated
on the appliance (underneath the kettle & base) corresponds with the voltage
in your home. If this is not the case, DO NOT USE THE KETTLE.
3. The attached base can not be used for anything other than its intended use.
4. Do not operate the appliance without anything in it to avoid damaging the heating
elements.
5. Unplug the kettle from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow the kettle to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning
the appliance.
6. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch a hot surface.
7. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
8. Should you accidentally allow the kettle to operate without water, the boil-dry
protection will automatically switch it off. If this should occur, allow the kettle
to cool before lling with cold water and re-boiling.
9. Ensure that the kettle is used on a rm and at surface out of reach of children,
this will prevent the kettle from overturning and prevent damage or injury.
10. To protect against re, electric shock or personal injury, do not immerse the cord,
electric plug or kettle in water or other liquids.
11. Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping
the kettle too fast.
12. Be careful when opening the lid of the kettle when relling when the kettle is hot.
13. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
14. Do not touch the hot surface of the kettle. Use the handle or the knob.
15. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot water.
16. The appliance is not a toy. Do not let children play with it.
17. The use of accessory attachments that are not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer and may result in re, electric shock or personal injury.
18. During operation, wind the excessive cord into the inner base of the kettle so that
the distance between the base and the outlet is as short as possible.
19. While water is boiling, or just after the water has nished boiling, avoid contact
with steam from the spout. To disconnect, turn any control to “OFF”, then remove
the plug from the wall outlet.
20. Scalding may occur if the lid is opened during boiling.
21. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
22. Do not use outdoors.
23. Always attach plug to appliance rst, then plug cord into the wall outlet.
To disconnect, turn any control to “OFF”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
24. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

Notes on the Plug
This unit has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk
of electrical shock, this plug is intended to t in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not t fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact
a qualied electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
Notes on the Cord
The provided short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) should
be used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over
a longer cord. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available
and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a longer detachable power-supply
cord or extension cord is used,
1. The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least
as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and
2. The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or table
top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
3. The extension cord should be a grounded-type 3-wire cord if the appliance
is of the grounded type.
Plasticizer Warning
CAUTION: To prevent Plasticizers from migrating to the nish of the counter top
or table top or other furniture, place NON-PLASTIC coasters or place mats between
the appliance and the nish of the counter top or table top. Failure to do so may cause
the nish to darken; permanent blemishes may occur or stains can appear.
Electric Power
If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may
not operate properly. It should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other
appliances.

Getting to Know Your Kettle

Before Using Your Kettle
If you are using the kettle for the rst time, it is recommended that you clean your kettle before use by boiling
a full kettle of water twice and then discarding the water.
NOTE: The max capacity of kettle is about 7 cups.
Using Your Kettle
1. To ll the kettle, remove it from the power base and open the lid by pulling it backwards and lifting
the lid handle. Fill with the desired amount of water. Alternatively, the kettle may be lled through
the spout. The water level should not exceed max marks or sit below MIN-MAX. Too little water will result
in the kettle switching off before the water has boiled.
NOTE: Do not ll the water over the maximum level, as water may spill out of the spout when boiling.
Ensure that the lid is rmly in place before plugging into the power outlet.
2. Position the kettle on the power base.
3. Connect the plug into a power outlet. Press the switch down, the indicator light will turn on.
Then the kettle will start to boil the water. The kettle will switch off automatically once the water
has boiled.
NOTE: Ensure that the switch is free of obstructions and that the lid is rmly closed. The kettle will
not turn off if the switch is constrained or if the lid is opened.
4. Lift the kettle from the power base and then pour the water.
NOTE: Operate carefully when pouring the water from your kettle as boiling water will scald.
5. The kettle will not re-boil until the switch is pressed again. The kettle may be stored on the power base
when not in use.

Boil-Dry Protection
Should you accidentally let the kettle operate without water, the boil-dry protection will automatically switch off
the power. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool before lling with cold water and re-boiling.
Cleaning And Maintenance
Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
1. Never immerse the kettle, power cord or power base in water, or allow moisture to come in contact with
these parts.
2. Wipe the body of the kettle with a mild, damp cloth or cleaner, never use an abrasive cleaner.
CAUTION: Do not use chemicals, steel wool, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of the kettle
to prevent damage to the nish.

Limited TWO-YEAR Warranty
SENSIO Inc. hereby warrants that for a period of TWO YEARS from the date
of purchase, this product will be free from mechanical defects in material and
workmanship, and for 90 days in respect to non-mechanical parts. At its sole
discretion, SENSIO Inc. will either repair or replace the product found to be defective,
or issue a refund on the product during the warranty period.
The warranty is only valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail
purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is
required to obtain warranty validation. Retail stores selling this product do not have the
right to alter, modify, or in any way revise the terms and conditions of the warranty.
EXCLUSIONS:
The warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the
following: negligent use of the product, use of improper voltage or current, improper
routine maintenance, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair,
or alteration by anyone other than qualied SENSIO Inc. personnel. Also, the warranty
does not cover Acts of God such as re, oods, hurricanes, or tornadoes.
SENSIO Inc. shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused
by the breach of any express or implied warranty. Apart from the extent prohibited
by applicable law, any implied warranty of merchantability or tness for a particular
purpose is limited in time to the duration of the warranty. Some states, provinces or
jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, and therefore, the
above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you. The warranty covers specic
legal rights which may vary by state, province and/or jurisdiction.
HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE:
You must contact Customer Service at our toll-free number: 1-866-832-4843.
A Customer Service Representative will attempt to resolve warranty issues over the
phone. If the Customer Service Representative is unable to resolve the problem, you will
be provided with a case number and asked to return the product to SENSIO Inc. Attach
a tag to the product that includes: your name, address, daytime contact telephone
number, case number, and description of the problem. Also, include a copy of the
original sales receipt. Carefully package the tagged product with the sales receipt,
and send it (with shipping and insurance prepaid) to SENSIO Inc.’s address. SENSIO
Inc. shall bear no responsibility or liability for the returned product while in transit to
SENSIO Inc.’s Customer Service Center.

ADVERTENCIAS IMPORTANTES
ADVERTENCIA: Al usar aparatos eléctricos, hay que observar siempre estas medidas
básicas de seguridad para reducir riesgos de incendio, electrocución y/o lesiones
personales.
1. Lea todas las instrucciones antes de utilizar el aparato.
2. Antes de conectar la tetera a la fuente de corriente, verique que el voltaje
indicado en el aparato (debajo de la tetera y la base) corresponda al voltaje
en la casa. Si este no es el caso, no use la tetera.
3. La base adjunta no se puede usar para nes distintos a los indicados.
4. No opera el aparato sin líquido dentro para evitar dañar los elementos calefactores.
5. Desenchufe la unidad de la fuente de corriente cuando no está en uso antes
de la limpieza. Deje que se enfríe antes de ponerle o quitarle piezas, y antes
de limpiar el aparato.
6. No deje que el cordón cuelgue sobre el borde de la encimera o la mesa, ni que
toque supercies calientes.
7. No coloque el aparato sobre o cerca de quemadores calientes de gas o eléctricos
o en un horno caliente.
8. Si usted deja accidentalmente la tetera funcionando sin agua, la protección contra
agotamiento de agua la apagará automáticamente. Si esto llegara a suceder,
deje que la tetera se enfríe antes de volver a llenarla con agua fría para hervir.
9. Asegúrese de que la tetera sea usada sobre una supercie rme y plana fuera
del alcance de los niños. Esto evitará que la tetera se vuelque y se dañe o cause
lesiones.
10. Para prevenir incendios, electrocución o lesiones, no sumerja el cordón eléctrico,
el enchufe, ni la tetera en agua ni ningún otro tipo de líquido.
11. Tenga cuidado siempre para verter agua hirviente lenta y cuidadosamente
sin inclinar la tetera demasiado rápido.
12. Tenga cuidado al abrir la tapa de la tetera para rellenarla cuando está caliente.
13. Se necesita una estrecha supervisión cuando es usado por niños o cerca de ellos.
14. No toque la supercie caliente de la tetera. Use la manija o el botón.
15. Se debe observar extremo cuidado al mover un aparato que contenga agua
caliente.
16. Este aparato no es un juguete. No deje que los niños jueguen con él.
17. El uso de accesorios no recomendados por el fabricante del aparato puede causar
incendio, electrocución o lesiones personales.
18. Durante la operación, enrolle el exceso de cable en la parte interna de la base
de la tetera para que la distancia entre la base y la toma de corriente sea la más
corta posible.
19. Cuando el agua está hirviendo, o poco después de que termine de hervir, evite
todo contacto con el vapor que sale de la boquilla. Para desconectar, gire el control
a la posición “OFF” (Apagado), luego quite el enchufe de la toma de corriente de
la pared.
20. Se puede quemar la piel si abre la tapa durante la ebullición.
21. No operar ningún aparato con un cable o enchufe dañado o después de que
el aparato presente un defecto o haya sido dañado de alguna manera.
Devuelva el aparato al centro de servicio autorizado mas cercano para su revisión,
reparación o ajuste.

22. No utilizar en el exterior.
23. Siempre conecte el cable al aparato primero, luego enchufe el cable en la toma
de corriente. Para desconectar, asegurase que el aparato este en “off” (apagado),
luego retire el enchufe de la toma de corriente.
24. No utilizar el aparato para otro uso distinto al indicado.

Notas sobre el enchufe
Este producto tiene un enchufe polarizado (una pata es más ancha que la otra). A n
de reducir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, el enchufe entra en un tomacorriente
polarizado en un solo sentido. Si el enchufe no entra completamente
en el tomacorriente, invierta el enchufe. Si aun así no entra, consulte a un electricista
autorizado. No realice ninguna modicación al enchufe.
Notas sobre el cable
El producto viene provisto de un cable de alimentación corto para reducir los riesgos
de accidente debido a tropiezos o enredos con cables de longitud mayor. Cables
de alimentación desmontables o de extensión más largos se encuentran disponibles,
pero deben utilizarse con el debido cuidado. Si se utiliza un cable de alimentación
desmontable o de extensión más largo:
1. El voltaje eléctrico del cable de alimentación o de extensión debe ser, como
mínimo, igual al voltaje del electrodoméstico.
2. El cable debe acomodarse de modo que no cuelgue del mostrador o de la mesa,
para evitar que un niño tire de éste o que alguien se tropiece involuntariamente.
3. Si el electrodoméstico tiene conexión a tierra, el cable de extensión debe
ser un cable de tres hilos con conexión a tierra.
Advertencia sobre el plasticante
PRECAUCIÓN: Para evitar que el plasticante se transera sobre el acabado
de la encimera, la supercie de trabajo u otro mueble, coloque posavasos o manteles
individuales NO PLÁSTICOS entre el electrodoméstico y el acabado de la encimera
o la supercie. De lo contrario, el acabado puede oscurecerse o pueden aparecer
manchas o marcas permanentes.
Alimentación eléctrica
Si el circuito eléctrico está sobrecargado con otros artefactos, su electrodoméstico
puede dejar de funcionar correctamente. El electrodoméstico debe funcionar
en un circuito eléctrico separado de otros artefactos.

Conozca su tetera
El producto puede variar levemente del que aparece ilustrado.
Antes de usar la tetera
Si está usando la tetera por primera vez, se recomienda que la limpie antes del uso hirviendo una tetera llena
de agua dos veces y luego deseche el agua.
NOTA: La capacidad máxima de la tetera es cerca de 7 tazas.
Uso de la tetera
1. Para llenar la tetera, sáquela de la base del motor y abra la tapa tirando de ella hacia atrás y levantando
la manija de la tapa. Llénela con la cantidad de agua deseada. Como alternativa, la tetera se puede llenar
a través de la boquilla. El nivel del agua no debe exceder la marca de llenado máximo ni quedar debajo
del mínimo. Si no tiene suciente agua, la tetera se apagará antes de que hierva el agua.
NOTA: No la llene con agua más allá del nivel máximo, ya que se puede derramar el agua por la boquilla
al comenzar a hervir. Asegúrese que la tapa esté rmemente en su sitio antes de enchufarla en la toma
de corriente.
2. Coloque la tetera en posición sobre la base del motor.
3. Conecte el enchufe en la toma de corriente. Presione hacia abajo el interruptor, el indicador se encenderá.
Entonces la tetera empezará a hervir el agua. La tetera se apagará automáticamente una vez hervida
el agua.
NOTA: Asegúrese que el interruptor esté libre de obstrucciones y que la tapa esté rmemente cerrada.
La tetera no se apagará si el interruptor está obstruido o si la tapa está abierta.
4. Levante la tetera de la base del motor y vierta el agua.
NOTA: Opere con cuidado al verter el agua de la tetera ya que el agua hirviente puede escaldar.
5. La tetera no volverá a hervir el agua hasta que se presione el interruptor de nuevo. La tetera se puede
guardar en la base del motor cuando no está en uso.

Protección contra agotamiento de agua
Si usted deja accidentalmente la tetera funcionando sin agua, la protección contra agotamiento de agua
la apagará automáticamente. Si esto llegara a suceder, deje que la tetera se enfríe antes de volver a llenarla
con agua fría para hervir contra agotamiento de agua.
Limpieza y mantenimiento
Desconecte siempre el aparato de la toma de corriente antes de la limpieza.
1. Nunca sumerja la tetera, el cordón de corriente o la base del motor en agua, ni deje que la humedad entre
en contacto con estas partes.
2. Limpie el cuerpo de la tetera con un paño suave húmedo o un limpiador; nunca use limpiador abrasivo.
PRECAUCIÓN: No use químicos, esponjillas de acero ni limpiadores de madera o abrasivos para limpiar
la parte externa de la tetera para evitar daños al acabado.

Garantía limitada de DOS AÑOS
Mediante la presente, SENSIO Inc. garantiza que, durante el plazo de DOS AÑOS a
partir de la fecha de compra, este producto no presentará defectos mecánicos en el
material ni en la mano de obra, y durante 90 días, no los presentará en las piezas no
mecánicas. A su entera discreción, SENSIO Inc. reparará o reemplazará el producto
que resulte defectuoso, o emitirá un reembolso por el producto durante el plazo de
garantía.
Esta garantía es válida únicamente para el comprador minorista original a partir de la
fecha de compra minorista inicial y no es transferible. Conserve el recibo de compra
original, ya que se exige una prueba de compra para obtener la validación de la
garantía. Las tiendas minoristas no tienen derecho a alterar, modicar ni corregir de
ninguna manera los términos y condiciones de la garantía.
EXCLUSIONES:
La garantía no cubre el desgaste normal de las piezas ni el daño ocasionado por
cualquiera de las siguientes causas: uso negligente del producto, uso de un voltaje
o corriente incorrectos, mantenimiento de rutina inadecuado, uso contrario al de
las instrucciones de funcionamiento, desarmado, reparación o alteración a cargo de
personas que no sean miembros del personal calicado de SENSIO Inc. Asimismo, la
garantía no cubre actos de la naturaleza, como incendios, inundaciones, huracanes o
tornados.
SENSIO Inc. no asumirá responsabilidad por daños incidentales o resultantes
ocasionados por la violación de cualquier garantía expresa o implícita. Salvo en
la medida en que lo prohíban las leyes aplicables, cualquier garantía implícita de
comerciabilidad o aptitud para un propósito particular se limita temporalmente a la
duración de la garantía. Algunos estados, provincias o jurisdicciones no permiten la
exclusión ni la limitación de daños incidentales o resultantes, o limitaciones sobre
la duración de una garantía implícita y, por lo tanto, es posible que las exclusiones o
limitaciones mencionadas no le correspondan. La garantía cubre derechos legales
especícos que pueden variar de un estado, una provincia o una jurisdicción a otros.

gratuito: 1-866-832-4843. Un representante del Servicio de atención al cliente intentará
resolver los problemas referidos a la garantía por teléfono. Si este no puede resolver
el problema, le proporcionarán un número de caso y le solicitarán que devuelva el
producto a SENSIO Inc. Adhiera una etiqueta al producto que incluya: su nombre,
dirección, número telefónico de contacto durante el día, número de caso y descripción
del problema. Además, incluya una copia del recibo de compra original. Envuelva
cuidadosamente el producto etiquetado con el recibo de compra, y envíelo (con el
envío y el seguro prepagados) a la dirección de SENSIO Inc. SENSIO Inc. no asumirá
obligación ni responsabilidad alguna por el producto devuelto que esté en el trayecto
hacia el Centro de servicio al cliente de SENSIO Inc.
