How to operate BeoPlay A3
BeoPlayA3 is aportable product
you can bring with you
everywhere. No matter how
you place BeoPlayA3, the
Adaptive Stereo Orientation
ensures the optimum sound
experience.
Place the enclosed cover correctly
around your iPad. When you dock
your iPad, remember to lock it to
connect the BeoPlayA3 speakers
and to avoid the iPad from
disconnecting or falling out.
Connect BeoPlay A3 to the mains
supply. BeoPlay A3 will switch on
automatically.
You will be prompted to download
an application from iTunes App Store.
From the application, you can see
product information, latest software
version and download software
updates.
Volume (+/-)
Press the buttons to adjust the
volume.
Indicator
The indicator light indicates the
power level whether in battery
mode or connected to the mains.
See next page.
Standby/switch off
When connected to the mains
supply, press the standby button
to switch BeoPlay A3 to standby.
When in battery mode, press the
standby button to switch BeoPlay A3
on or off. When you undock your
iPad, BeoPlay A3 switches off
automatically. Remember to press
the standby button, when you
dock your iPad again.
Mains supply
Use the enclosed mains adaptor to
charge your BeoPlayA3.
Your iPad is always charged when
docked and the mains supply is
connected.
Lock/unlock( / )
To lock the docked iPad, push the
slider to the lock position. To eject
your iPad, push the slider to the
unlock position.
It is not necessary to remove the
cover around the iPad, you can
leave it on for protection.
When the iPad is docked, you cannot access its volume buttons. You
must use the buttons on BeoPlayA3.

Indicator

Battery –indicator
When in battery mode, green light
indicates that the power level of
the battery is high. Orange light
indicates medium power level of
the battery and the battery needs
to be charged soon. Red light
indicates that the power level of
the battery is low and the battery
needs to be charged. If there is no
battery power left, there is no
indicator light.
When connected to the mains,
no light indicates that the battery
is fully charged. Green light
indicates that the battery level is
charged to a high level. Orange
light indicates that the battery is
charged to a medium level. Red
light indicates that the battery is
almost discharged.
BeoPlay A3 is charged within the
temperature range of 10– 40°C
(50°F–105°F).
Speaker settings
When your iPad is docked in
BeoPlayA3, you can make speaker
settings.
> Select ‘Settings’ on your iPad.
> Select ‘Speakers’. Options are
‘Flat’ and ‘Speech’. With ‘Flat’ no
additional filtering is applied to
the audio signal. With ‘Speech’
filtering is applied to the signal
to improve intelligibility of speech.

Indikatorlampe

Batteri –indikatorlampe
I batteritilstanden betyder et grønt
lys et højt batteriniveau. Et orange
lys betyder, at batteriniveauet er
mellemhøjt, og at batteriet snart
skal oplades, Et rødt lys betyder,
at batteriniveauet er lavt, og at
batteriet skal oplades. Hvis der
ikke er mere strøm på batteriet,
lyser indikatorlampen ikke.
Når BeoPlayA3 er tilsluttet
lysnettet, lyser indikatorlampen
ikke, når batteriet er fuldt opladet.
Hvis indikatorlampen lyser grønt,
betyder det, at batteriniveauet er
meget højt. Hvis indikatorlampen
lyser orange, betyder det, at
batteriniveauet er mellemhøjt. Hvis
indikatorlampen lyser rødt, betyder
det, at batteriet næsten er afladet.
BeoPlayA3 oplades inden for et
temperaturområde på 10-40°C.
Højttalerindstillinger
Når din iPad er sat i BeoPlayA3,
kan du foretage højttalerindstillinger.
> Vælg Settings på din iPad.
> Vælg Speakers. Valgmulighederne
er Flad og Tale. Hvis du vælger
Flad, sker der ingen yderligere
filtrering af lydsignalet. Hvis du

Bedienung BeoPlay A3

eine Applikation aus dem iTunes

Software-Updates zum Download.

Drücken Sie die Tasten, um die
Lautstärke einzustellen.
Anzeigeleuchte
Die Anzeigeleuchte zeigt sowohl
im Akkumodus als auch im
Netzbetrieb den Akkuladestand an.

Standby-Betrieb/Ausschalten
Sobald das Gerät an das Netz
angeschlossen ist, drücken Sie die
Standby-Taste, um den BeoPlayA3
in den Standby-Betrieb zu schalten.
Wenn das Gerät im Akku-Modus
betrieben wird, schalten Sie es
mithilfe der Standby-Taste ein bzw.
aus. Wenn Sie Ihr iPad aus der
Dockingstation nehmen, schaltet
der BeoPlayA3 automatisch aus.
Drücken Sie die Standby-Taste
erneut, wenn Sie Ihr iPad wieder
andocken.
Netzanschluss
Laden Sie Ihren BeoPlayA3 mit
dem im Lieferumfang enthaltenen
Netzteil auf.
Ihr iPad wird aufgeladen, sofern es
angedockt ist und der BeoPlayA3
an das Netz angeschlossen ist.
Sperren/Entsperren( / )
Um das iPad zu sperren,
drücken Sie den Schieber in die
Feststellposition. Drücken Sie den
Schieber in die Ausgangsposition,
um Ihr iPad wieder entnehmen zu
können.
Es ist nicht nötig, die Hülle Ihres
iPads zu entfernen, Sie können es
als Schutz auf dem Gerät belassen.
Wenn das iPad in die Dockingstation eingesetzt ist, haben Sie keinen
Zugriff auf die Lautstärketasten. Verwenden sie stattdessen die Tasten
am BeoPlayA3.

Akku –Anzeigeleuchte
Im Akkumodus gibt das grüne
Licht an, dass der Akku voll ist.
Oranges Licht gibt an, dass der
Akku zur Hälfte leer ist und bald
aufgeladen werden muss. Rotes
Licht gibt an, dass der Akku
beinahe leer ist und aufgeladen
werden muss. Wenn der Akku
völlig entladen ist, leuchtet keine
Anzeigeleuchte.
Wenn das Gerät an das Netz
angeschlossen und der Akku
vollständig geladen ist, leuchtet
keine Anzeigeleuchte. Grünes Licht
gibt an, dass der Akku voll ist.
Oranges Licht gibt an, dass der Akku
zur Hälfte leer ist. Rotes Licht gibt
an, dass der Akku beinahe leer ist.
Der BeoPlayA3 wird innerhalb
eines Temperaturbereichs von
10–40ºC geladen.
Lautsprechereinstellungen
Wenn sich Ihr iPad in der
Dockingstation des BeoPlayA3
befindet, können Sie
Lautsprechereinstellungen
vornehmen.
> Wählen Sie „Settings“ auf
Ihrem iPad.
> Wählen Sie „Speakers“.
Optionen: „Keine“ und
„Sprache“. Bei der Option
„Keine“ erfolgt keine zusätzliche
Filterung des Audiosignals.
Bei „Sprache“ wird das
Signal für eine verbesserte
Sprachwiedergabe gefiltert.

Uso de BeoPlay A3
BeoPlayA3 es un equipo
portátil que se puede instalar
en cualquier lugar. No importa
dónde decida colocar BeoPlayA3:
gracias a la tecnología Adaptive
Stereo Orientation, la experiencia
sonora siempre resultará
óptima.
Coloque la funda adjunta
alrededor del iPad. Tras acoplar

Standby/apagado
Si el equipo está conectado a la
red eléctrica, pulse el botón de

modo standby.

o apagar BeoPlayA3.
BeoPlayA3 se apagará
automáticamente al desacoplar el
iPad. Recuerde pulsar el botón de
standby al acoplar el iPad de nuevo.
Conexión ala red eléctrica
Use el adaptador de alimentación
suministrado para cargar BeoPlayA3.
El iPad permanecerá en carga
siempre que se encuentre
acoplado y el equipo esté
conectado a la red eléctrica.
Bloqueo/desbloqueo( / )
Para bloquear el iPad acoplado,
presione el cierre hasta la posición
de bloqueo. Para retirar el iPad,
presione el cierre hasta la posición
de desbloqueo.
No es necesario que retire la funda
del iPad; si lo desea, puede usarla
para proteger el dispositivo.
No podrá usar los botones de volumen del iPad mientras este
permanezca acoplado. Use en su lugar los botones de BeoPlayA3.

Indicador

Batería (indicador)
En el modo de batería, el indicador
luminoso se ilumina en color verde
cuando el nivel de carga restante
en la batería es alto. El indicador
luminoso se ilumina en color
naranja cuando el nivel de carga
restante en la batería es medio y
será preciso volver a cargarla en
breve. Por último, el indicador
luminoso se ilumina en color rojo
cuando el nivel de carga restante
en la batería es bajo y es preciso
volver a cargarla. El indicador
luminoso permanece apagado una
vez agotada la batería.
Cuando el equipo se encuentra
conectado a la red eléctrica, el
indicador luminoso permanece
apagado si la batería está cargada
por completo. El indicador
luminoso se ilumina en color verde
cuando el nivel de carga de la batería
es alto, en color naranja cuando el
nivel de carga de la batería es
medio, y en color rojo cuando la
batería está casi descargada.
La carga de BeoPlayA3 debe
tener lugar a una temperatura
comprendida entre 10 y 40°C
(50 y 105°F).
Configuración de los altavoces
Una vez que haya acoplado el iPad
en BeoPlayA3, podrá configurar
los altavoces.
> En el iPad, seleccione ‘Settings’.
> Seleccione ‘Speakers’.
Las opciones disponibles son
‘Inactivo’ y ‘Voz’. Seleccione la
opción ‘Inactivo’ si no desea que

Fonctionnement du BeoPlay A3
Le BeoPlayA3 est un appareil

Peu importe la façon dont vous

Glissez soigneusement votre iPad
dans l'étui fourni. Lorsque vous posez
votre iPad sur sa station, veillez à le

tombe. Branchez le BeoPlayA3 sur

Vous serez invité à télécharger une
application depuis l'App Store iTunes.
À partir de cette application, vous
pouvez voir des informations sur les
appareils et les dernières versions
de logiciels, et télécharger des
mises à jour de logiciels.

Le témoin lumineux indique le

Mettre en veille/éteindre
Une fois le raccord au secteur
effectué, appuyez sur le bouton de
mise en veille du BeoPlayA3.
En mode batterie, appuyez sur le
bouton de mise en veille pour
allumer ou éteindre le BeoPlayA3.
Lorsque vous déverrouillez votre
iPad, le BeoPlayA3 s’éteint
automatiquement. N’oubliez pas
d’appuyer sur le bouton de mise
en veille lorsque vous remettez
votre iPad sur sa station.
Alimentation secteur
Utilisez l'adaptateur secteur fourni
pour recharger votre BeoPlayA3.
Votre iPad est toujours chargé
lorsqu’il est placé sur la station et
que l’alimentation secteur est activée.

Pour verrouiller l'iPad sur sa station
d'accueil, poussez le curseur en
position verrouillée. Pour éjecter
votre iPad, poussez le curseur en
position déverrouillée.
Il n'est pas nécessaire de retirer
l'étui de l'iPad, laissez-le comme
protection.
Lorsque l'iPad est connecté àla station d'accueil, vous ne pouvez pas
accéder àses boutons de volume. Vous devez alors utiliser les boutons
du BeoPlayA3.

Témoin lumineux

Batterie –témoin lumineux
En mode batterie, un voyant vert
indique que le niveau de puissance
de la batterie est élevé. Un voyant
orange indique que le niveau de
puissance de la batterie est moyen
et que celle-ci devra bientôt être
rechargée. Un voyant rouge
indique que le niveau de puissance
de la batterie est faible et que
celle-ci doit être rechargée. Si la
batterie est plate, il n'y a plus de
témoin lumineux.
En mode connexion au secteur,
l'absence de voyant indique que la
batterie est entièrement chargée.
Un voyant vert indique que le
niveau de charge de la batterie est
élevé. Un voyant orange indique
que le niveau de charge de la
batterie est moyen. Un voyant
rouge indique que la batterie est
presque déchargée.
Le BeoPlayA3 est chargé dans une
plage de température de 10à40°C.
Réglage des enceintes
Lorsque votre iPad est connecté au
BeoPlayA3, il vous est possible de
régler les enceintes.
> Sélectionnez «Settings» sur
votre iPad.
> Sélectionnez «Speakers».
Les options sont «Neutre» et
«Voix». Avec «Neutre», aucun
filtre supplémentaire n'est
appliqué au signal audio.
Avec «Voix», un filtre est
appliqué au signal afin d'améliorer
l'intelligibilité des paroles.

Azionamento BeoPlay A3
Il BeoPlayA3 è un prodotto
veramente portatile.
Indipendentemente dal
posizionamento del BeoPlayA3,
l'Adaptive Stereo Orientation

correttamente intorno all'iPad.
Quando si inserisce l'iPad nel dock,
ricordarsi di bloccarlo per collegarlo

evitare che cada dal dock. Collegare
il BeoPlay A3 all’alimentazione di
rete. Il BeoPlayA3 si accenderà
automaticamente.
Sarà chiesto di scaricare
un'applicazione dall'iTunes App
Store. Tramite questa applicazione,
è possibile visualizzare le informazioni
sul prodotto, la versione del
software e scaricare aggiornamenti
del software.

Premere i pulsanti per regolare il
volume.
Spia luminosa
La spia indica il livello di carica, sia
in modalità batteria o se collegato
alla rete elettrica. Vedere la pagina
successiva.
Standby/disattivazione
Con l’apparecchio collegato alla
rete elettrica, premere il pulsante
di standby per impostare il
BeoPlayA3 sullo standby.
In modalità batteria, premere il
pulsante di standby per accendere
e spegnere il BeoPlayA3.
Se si rimuove l’iPad dal dock,
il BeoPlayA3 si spegne
automaticamente. Ricordarsi di
premere il pulsante di standby
quando si inserisce nuovamente
l’iPad nel dock.
Alimentazione elettrica
Utilizzare l'adattatore di rete
incluso per caricare il BeoPlay A3.
L’iPad viene sempre ricaricato
quando è inserito nel dock e
l’alimentazione elettrica è collegata.
Blocco/sblocco ( / )
Per bloccare l'iPad nel dock,
spingere il cursore nella posizione
di blocco. Per sbloccare l'iPad nel
dock, spingere il cursore nella
posizione di sblocco.
Non è necessario rimuovere la
copertura intorno all'iPad; è possibile
lasciarla in posizione per proteggere
l'apparecchio.
Con l’iPad inserito nel dock, non è possibile accedere al pulsante del
volume. È necessario utilizzare i pulsanti sul BeoPlayA3.

Spia luminosa

Batteria – spia
In modalità batteria, se la spia è
verde, la batteria è completamente
carica. Se la spia è arancione, la
batteria è parzialmente carica e
dovrà essere presto ricaricata. Se la
spia è rossa, la batteria è quasi
scarica e deve essere ricaricata.
Se la batteria è completamente
scarica, la spia è spenta.
Con il prodotto collegato alla rete
elettrica, se la spia è spenta,
la batteria è completamente carica.
Se la spia è verde, la batteria
possiede un ottimo livello di carica.
Se la spia è arancione, la batteria è
parzialmente carica. Se la spia è
rossa, la batteria è quasi
completamente scarica.
Il BeoPlayA3 viene caricato solo
a una temperatura ambiente di
10– 40°C.
Impostazioni del diffusore
Quando l'iPad è inserito nel dock del
BeoPlayA3, è possibile effettuare
le impostazioni del diffusore.
> Selezionare "Settings" sull'iPad.
> Selezionare "Speakers". Le opzioni
sono "Normale" e "Parlato".
Con "Normale", non viene
applicato alcun filtro aggiuntivo
al segnale audio. Con "Parlato",
viene applicato un filtro al
segnale per migliorare
l'intelligibilità del parlato.
