BST-MG06 Multi-gas Detecting Alarm
Manual Instruction

1
This BST-MG06 multi gas detecting alarm is applied to underground coal mine, petrochemical industry,
municipal, environmental protection and other spaces where multi gas may exist. This device can be
used for detecting methane (CH4) or combustible gas (LEL), oxygen (O2), carbon monoxide (CO) and
hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gases simultaneously. When the concentration of any gas in the environment
is higher or lower than that of set alarm point, this device with send out both sound and light alarms to
warn users who wears it to take protective actions. This device is portable and can be also used as a
fixed device. It’s anti-explosion and intrinsically safe, the anti-explosion sign is ExibΙ
1. Application
2. Working principle
In this device, the methane/combustible gas sensor adopts hot catalytic working principle and it
consists of black and white elements inside. The black element is the catalytic carrier of
methane/combustible gas, and will occur thermal catalytic reaction with the methane/LEL gas to
change its own resistance value; the white element is a pure carrier and its resistance value is very
stable. According to this sensor’s characteristics, the signal is enlarged by the wheatstone bridge and
displays the value, thus concentration detection methane/ combustible gas is achieved.
3. Charging this device
Notice: To charge the battery, ensure you are in a safe, non-hazardous area.
①Input voltage: 110-240V, 50-60Hz Output voltage: 5V, 500mA.
②It can be charged from 5V USB socket through connecting USB cord with this device.
USB socket could from computer, phone adapter, power station, etc.
③After connecting USB cord with this device, green LED flashing indicates regularly charging.
④When green LED stops flashing and remains light, it indicates charging is basically completed,
to enlarge battery life, please don’t unplug charging device right away, instead remain it
on charge for another hour.
< >
The CO sensor, O2sensor and H2S sensor all adopt electrochemical principle. The inside electrode
will react with the being detected gases in the role of catalyst to achieve the directional movement
of electron between electrodes, and make the electrical signal amplified and displayed by amplifying
circuit technology and other existing technologies so that to achieve the detection of concentration.

4. The drawing sketches for all components of this device.
