Warum Tageslichtanwendung?
Verwendungszweck
Die Lichttherapielampe ist eine Lichtquelle zur „Lichttherapie“, bei der das künstliche Licht dem Anwender ein
Entspannungsgefühl vermittelt, zur Bewältigung von Depressionen beiträgt oder jahreszeitliche Verstimmungen
lindert. Viele Menschen leiden im Tagesverlauf unter Abgeschlagenheit. Mithilfe des Produkts wird die Ausschüt-
tung von Schlafhormonen unterdrückt, damit dem Anwender mehr Antrieb und Aufmunterung verliehen werden
kann.
Wenn im Herbst die Sonnenscheindauer spürbar abnimmt und Menschen sich in den Wintermonaten
verstärkt drinnen aufhalten, kann es zu Lichtmangelerscheinungen kommen. Diese werden oft als „Winterdepres-
sion“ bezeichnet. Die Symptome können vielseitig auftreten:

Ursache für das Auftreten dieser Symptome ist die Tatsache, dass Licht und speziell das Sonnenlicht lebenswich-
tig ist und direkt auf den menschlichen Körper einwirkt. Sonnenlicht steuert indirekt die Produktion von Melatonin,
welches nur bei Dunkelheit in das Blut abgegeben wird. Dieses Hormon zeigt dem Körper, dass Schlafenszeit
ist. In den sonnenarmen Monaten ist daher eine vermehrte Produktion von Melatonin vorhanden. Dadurch fällt es
schwerer aufzustehen, da die Körperfunktionen heruntergefahren sind. Wird die Tageslichtlampe unmittelbar nach
dem morgendlichen Aufwachen angewandt, also möglichst früh, kann die Produktion von Melatonin beendet wer-
den, so dass es zu einem positiven Stimmungsumschwung kommen kann.
Zudem wird bei Lichtmangel die Produktion des Glückshormons Serotonin behindert, welches maßgeblich
unser „Wohlbefinden“ beeinflusst. Es handelt sich bei Lichtanwendung also um quantitative Veränderungen von
Hormonen und Botenstoffen im Gehirn, die unser Aktivitätsniveau, unsere Gefühle und das Wohlbefinden beein-
flussen können. Um einem derartig hormonellen Ungleichgewicht entgegen zu wirken, können Tageslichtlampen
einen geeigneten Ersatz für das natürliche Sonnenlicht schaffen.
Im medizinischen Bereich werden Tageslichtlampen in der Lichttherapie gegen Lichtmangelerscheinungen
eingesetzt. Tageslichtlampen simulieren Tageslicht über 10.000 Lux. Dieses Licht kann auf den menschlichen
Körper einwirken und behandelnd oder vorbeugend eingesetzt werden. Normales elektrisches Licht hingegen
reicht nicht aus, um auf den Hormonhaushalt einzuwirken. Denn in einem gut ausgeleuchteten Büro beträgt die
Beleuchtungsstärke beispielsweise gerade einmal 500 Lux.

Sicherheitshinweise
Warnung
• Die Tageslichtlampe ist nur für die Bestrahlung des menschlichen Körpers vorgesehen.
• Vor dem Gebrauch ist sicherzustellen, dass das Gerät und Zubehör keine sichtbaren Schäden aufweisen
und jegliches Verpackungsmaterial entfernt wird. Benutzen Sie es im Zweifelsfall nicht und wenden Sie
sich an Ihren Händler oder an die angegebene Kundendienstadresse.
• Achten Sie ebenso auf einen sicheren Stand der Tageslichtlampe.
• Das Gerät darf nur an die auf dem Typschild angegebene Netzspannung angeschlossen werden.
• Tauchen Sie das Gerät nicht in Wasser und verwenden Sie es nicht in Nassräumen.
• Nicht bei Hilflosen, Kindern unter 6 Jahren oder wärmeunempfindlichen Personen (Personen mit krank-
heitsbedingten Hautveränderungen), nach der Einnahme von schmerzlindernden Medikamenten, Alkohol
oder Drogen verwenden.
• Halten Sie Kinder vom Verpackungsmaterial fern (Erstickungsgefahr!).
• Das Gerät darf im erwärmten Zustand nicht ab- oder zugedeckt oder verpackt aufbewahrt werden.
• Ziehen Sie stets das Netzteil und lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen, ehe Sie es anfassen.
• Das Gerät darf im angeschlossenen Zustand nicht mit feuchten Händen angefasst werden; es darf kein
Wasser auf das Gerät spritzen. Das Gerät darf nur im vollständig trockenen Zustand betrieben werden.
• Achten Sie darauf das Netzteil nur mit trockenen Händen ein- und auszustecken, sowie die EIN/AUS-Taste

• Schützen Sie das Gerät vor stärkeren Stößen.
• Das Netzteil nicht an der Netzleitung aus der Steckdose herausziehen.
• Bei Beschädigungen des Netzteils und des Gehäuses wenden Sie sich an den Kundenservice oder Händ-
ler, da für die Reparatur Spezialwerkzeuge erforderlich sind.
• Die Trennung vom Versorgungsnetz ist nur gewährleistet, wenn das Netzteil aus der Steckdose
gezogen ist.
• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht in der Gegenwart von entflammbaren Narkosegas-Verbindungen mit Luft,
Sauerstoff oder Stickstoffoxid.
• An diesem Gerät müssen Sie keine Kalibrierung und keine vorbeugenden Kontrollen und Instandhal-
tungen durchführen.
• Sie können das Gerät nicht reparieren. Es enthält keine Teile, die sie reparieren können.
• Verändern Sie nichts am Gerät ohne Erlaubnis des Herstellers.
• Wenn das Gerät verändert wurde, müssen gründliche Tests und Kontrollen durchgeführt werden, um die
weitere Sicherheit bei fortführender Benutzung des Geräts zu gewährleisten.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls so auf, dass es nur schwer von der Stromversorgung getrennt werden
kann.
• Vergewissern Sie sich vor jeder Benutzung, dass sich das Gerät in einem einwandfreien Zustand befindet.
Sehen Sie im Falle einer Beschädigung von der Benutzung des Geräts ab.

Verschluckens von Kleinteilen und von Kontaktverletzungen besteht, wenn die Anweisungen in der Bedie-
nungsanleitung nicht befolgt werden.
• Es ist nicht gestattet, Zubehör, abnehmbare Teile und Materialien zu verwenden, die nicht in der Ge-
brauchsanweisung beschrieben sind.
Allgemeine Hinweise
Achtung
• Bei Einnahme von Medikamenten wie Schmerzmittel, Blutdrucksenkern und Antidepressiva sollte vorher
mit dem Arzt über den Einsatz der Tageslichtlampe gesprochen werden.
• Bei Menschen mit Netzhauterkrankungen sollte vor Beginn der Tageslichtanwendung genauso wie bei
Diabetikern eine Untersuchung beim Augenarzt gemacht werden.
• Bitte nicht anwenden bei Augenkrankheiten wie Grauer Star, Grüner Star, Erkrankungen des Sehnervs
allgemein und bei Entzündungen des Glaskörpers.
• Bei gesundheitlichen Bedenken irgendwelcher Art konsultieren Sie Ihren Hausarzt!
• Vor Gebrauch des Gerätes ist jegliches Verpackungsmaterial zu entfernen.
• Leuchtmittel sind von der Garantie ausgenommen.
• Das Gerät sollte auf einer stabilen Unterlage aufgestellt und von der Umgebung von Haustieren und Kin-
dern ferngehalten werden.
Reparatur
Achtung
• Sie dürfen das Gerät nicht öffnen. Bitte versuchen Sie das Gerät nicht selbst zu reparieren. Hierbei
könnten ernsthafte Verletzungen die Folge sein. Bei Nichtbeachten erlischt die Garantie.
• Wenden Sie sich bei Reparaturen an den Kundenservice oder an einen autorisierten Händler.
• Auf Anfrage kann der Hersteller den Schaltplan, die Komponentenliste, die Beschreibung, die Kalibrie-
rungsdetails und andere Informationen bereitstellen, die erforderlich sind, um das Wartungspersonal bei
der Reparatur der medizinischen Ausrüstung zu unterstützen, die vom Hersteller bestimmten Wartungs-
personal repariert werden können.

Entnehmen Sie das Gerät aus der Folie. Überprüfen Sie das Gerät auf Beschädigungen und Fehler. Sollten Sie
Beschädigungen oder Fehler an dem Gerät feststellen, verwenden Sie es nicht und kontaktieren Sie den Kunden-
dienst oder Ihren Lieferanten.
Aufstellen
Stellen Sie das Gerät auf einer ebenen Fläche auf. Die Platzierung sollte so gewählt werden, dass der Abstand
vom Gerät zum Benutzer zwischen 10 cm und 40 cm beträgt. Hier besitzt die Lampe ihre optimale Wirksamkeit.
Netzanschluss
• Die Tageslichtlampe darf ausschließlich nur mit dem hier beschriebenen Netzteil betrieben werden, um
eine mögliche Beschädigung der Tageslichtlampe zu verhindern.
• Stecken Sie das Netzteil in den dafür vorgesehenen Anschluss auf der Rückseite der Tageslichtlampe.
Das Netzteil darf nur an die auf dem Typschild angegebene Netzspannung angeschlossen werden.
• Nach dem Gebrauch der Tageslichtlampe trennen Sie das Netzteil zuerst von der Steckdose und an-
schließend von der Tageslichtlampe.
Hinweis:
• Achten Sie darauf, dass sich eine Steckdose in der Nähe des Aufstellplatzes befindet.
• Verlegen Sie das Netzkabel so, dass niemand darüber stolpern kann.

3 LED-Anzeige/Timer
Die Tageslichtlampe TL 70 zeigt Ihnen Ihre aktuelle Behandlungsdauer mit Hilfe von 5 LEDs an.
Die Behandlungszeit kann in den folgenden 5 Stufen eingestellt werden.
Beim ersten Einschalten der Lampe ist die Timerfunktion nicht aktiviert. Die Lampe scheint nun solange
bis die Lampe wieder ausgeschaltet oder eine Behandlungszeit eingestellt wird (Timer = 0 min).
Um den Timer nutzen zu können, stellt man mit den „+/-“ Tasten die gewünschte Stufe von 1 – 5 ein. Bei
Stufe 1 werden 15 Minuten Behandlungszeit eingestellt. Die weiteren Stufen stellen sich wie folgt dar:
Nach dieser Behandlungszeit schaltet sich die Lampe automatisch ab. Wenn sie die Timerfunktion de-
aktivieren wollen, können sie die „-“Taste drücken, bis die LED´s aus sind.
4 Helligkeitseinstellung
Die Tageslichtlampe TL 70 verfügt über 10 Helligkeitsstufen. Über die seitlichen „+/-“ Tasten lässt sich
die gewünschte Helligkeitsstufe einstellen – diese Stufe sollte während der Behandlung für das Auge
angenehm eingestellt werden. Mit dem Ausschalten des Gerätes wird die zuletzt eingestellte Stufe ge-
speichert. Beim nächsten Einschalten wird wieder mit der gespeicherten Helligkeitsstufe gestartet.
5Licht genießen
Setzten Sie sich so nah als möglich an die Lampe, zwischen 10 cm und 40 cm. Sie können während der
Anwendung Ihren gewohnten Bedürfnissen nachgehen. Sie können lesen, schreiben, telefonieren, etc.
• Blicken Sie immer wieder kurz direkt in das Licht, da die Aufnahme bzw. die Wirkung über die Augen/
Netzhaut erfolgt.
• Sie können die Tageslichtlampe so oft einsetzen, wie sie wollen. Die Behandlung ist jedoch am wir-
kungsvollsten, wenn Sie entsprechend der vorgegebenen Zeitangaben mindestens 7 Tage in Folge die
Lichttherapie durchführen.
• Die effektivste Tageszeit für die Behandlung ist zwischen 6 Uhr morgens und 8 Uhr abends
und wird mit einer täglichen Dauer von 2 Stunden empfohlen.
• Blicken Sie jedoch nicht über die gesamte Anwendungsdauer direkt in das Licht, es könnte gegebe-
nenfalls zu einer Überreizung der Netzhaut kommen.
• Beginnen Sie mit kürzerer Bestrahlung, die Sie im Laufe einer Woche steigern.
Hinweis:
Nach den ersten Anwendungen können Augen- und Kopfschmerzen auftreten, welche in den weiteren
Sitzungen ausbleiben, da sich dann das Nervensystem an die neuen Reize gewöhnt hat.
6Worauf sollten Sie achten
Für eine Anwendung beträgt der empfohlene Abstand 10 - 40 cm zwischen Gesicht und Lampe.
Die Dauer der Anwendung hängt wiederum vom Abstand ab:

7Licht über einen längeren Zeitraum genießen
Wiederholen Sie die Anwendung in der lichtarmen Jahreszeit mindestens an 7 aufeinander folgenden
Tagen, bzw. auch länger, je nach individuellem Bedürfnis. Sie sollten die Behandlung vorzugsweise in
den Morgenstunden durchführen.
8Lampe ausschalten
Drücken Sie die Ein-/Aus-Taste. Die LEDs schalten sich aus. Ziehen Sie das Netzteil aus der Steckdose.
ACHTUNG!
Die Lampe ist nach dem Gebrauch warm. Lassen Sie die Lampe zuerst lange genug abkühlen bevor Sie
diese aufräumen und / oder verpacken!
7. Gerät reinigen und pflegen
Von Zeit zu Zeit sollte das Gerät gereinigt werden.
Achtung
• Achten Sie darauf, dass kein Wasser in das Geräteinnere gelangt!
Vor jeder Reinigung muss das Gerät ausgeschaltet, vom Netz getrennt und abgekühlt sein.
• Gerät nicht in der Spülmaschine reinigen!
Benutzen Sie zur Reinigung ein leicht angefeuchtetes Tuch.
• Benutzen Sie keine scharfen Reinigungsmittel und halten Sie das Gerät niemals unter Wasser.
Das Gerät darf im angeschlossenen Zustand nicht mit feuchten Händen angefasst werden; es darf kein
Wasser auf das Gerät spritzen. Das Gerät darf nur im vollständig trockenen Zustand betrieben werden.
8. Lagerung
Wenn Sie das Gerät über einen längeren Zeitraum nicht verwenden, bewahren Sie es uneingesteckt in einer
trockenen Umgebung und außer Reichweite von Kindern auf.
Beachten Sie die im Kapitel „Technische Daten“ angegebenen Aufbewahrungsbedingungen.
• Ausgehend von der niedrigsten Lagertemperatur, -20°C, dauert es etwa 30Minuten, bis ein normaler Betrieb
bei einer Umgebungstemperatur von 20°C aufgenommen werden kann.
• Ausgehend von der höchsten Lagertemperatur, 50°C, dauert es etwa 30Minuten, bis ein normaler Betrieb bei
einer Umgebungstemperatur von 20°C aufgenommen werden kann.
9. Entsorgen
Im Interesse des Umweltschutzes darf das Gerät am Ende seiner Lebensdauer nicht mit dem Hausmüll
entfernt werden. Die Entsorgung kann über entsprechende Sammelstellen in Ihrem Land erfolgen. Entsor-
gen Sie das Gerät gemäß der Elektro- und Elektronik Altgeräte EG-Richtlinie –WEEE (Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment). Bei Rückfragen wenden Sie sich an die für die Entsorgung zuständige kommunale
Behörde.
10. Was tun bei Problemen?

Hinweise zu Elektromagnetischer Verträglichkeit

• Das Gerät ist für den Betrieb an allen Umgebungen geeignet, die in dieser Gebrauchsanweisung aufgeführt

Why use a daylight therapy lamp?
Intended Use
The intended use of the Light Therapy Lamp is to provide light source to offer a kind of “Light therapy” function in
which the artificial light environment would provide end user with sense of relax or help them to ease depression,
or treat seasonal affective disorder. Many people regularly experience lack of energy throughout the day, this
product can be used to boost them and let them feel more energetic by suppressing sleep hormone inside body.
When the hours of daylight are noticeably decreased in autumn and people increasingly stay inside, the effects
of a lack of light may cumulate. This is often described as „winter depression“. The symptoms can present them-
selves in a number of ways:

The cause of these symptoms is the fact that light, particularly sunlight, is essential for life and has a direct effect
upon the human body. Sunlight indirectly controls the production of melatonin, which is released into the blood
only in darkness. This hormone tells the body when it is time to sleep. In the months when there is less sunlight,
therefore, production of melatonin increases. This makes it harder to get up in the morning, since the body‘s
functions are shut down. If you use the daylight therapy lamp immediately after waking up in the morning—thus
as early as possible—you can end the production of melatonin so that your mood can take positive turn. In ad-
dition, light deficiency also hinders production of the happiness hormone serotonin, which decisively affects our
well-being. So application of light involves quantitative changes in hormones and neurotransmitters in the brain,
which can affect our level of activity, our feelings and our well-being. Light can help reverse this hormone imbal-
ance. To compensate for such a hormonal imbalance, the daylight therapy lamp can create a suitable replace-
ment for natural sunlight.
In the medical field, daylight therapy lamps are used to compensate for the effects of a lack of light. Daylight
therapy lamps simulate daylight over 10,000 lux. The light can influence the human body and be used as a
treatment or as a preventative measure. Normal electric light is not sufficient to influence the hormonal balance.
Because in a well-lit office the illuminance level amounts to just 500 lux.

Safety notes
Warning
• The light of the daylight therapy lamp is only intended for use on the human body.
• Before use, ensure that all packaging materials are removed and that there is no visible damage to the
unit or accessories. When in doubt, do not use the unit and contact your dealer or the customer service
address provided.
• Also ensure that the daylight therapy lamp has a firm footing.
• Connect the unit only to the mains voltage listed on the type plate.
• Do not dip the unit into water and do not use it in wet rooms.
• Do not use it in the vicinity of people who are helpless, children under age 6 or people who are insensi-
tive to heat (people with skin lesions due to illness); do not use after taking painkillers or drugs or drinking
alcohol.
• Keep children away from packaging materials (risk of suffocation).
• Do not cover up or pack away the unit while it is warm.
• Always unplug the mains part and allow the device to cool down before touching it.
• Do not touch the unit with wet hands while it is plugged in; do not allow any water to be sprayed onto the
unit. The unit must be operated only when it is completely dry.
• Ensure that you only insert and remove the mains part with dry hands and that you only press the ON/OFF
button with dry hands.
• Keep the mains cable away from hot objects and naked flames.

• If the mains part or its housing is damaged, this must be replaced by customer services or the retailer, as
a special tool is needed for repair.
• Disconnection from the power supply network is only guaranteed when the mains part is unplugged.
• Do not use the device in the presence of flammable anaesthetic gas connections with air, oxygen or nitro-
gen oxide.
• No calibration and no preventative checks or maintenance is to be carried out on this device.
• You cannot repair the device. The device contains no parts that you can repair.
• Do not make any changes to the device without the manufacturer’s permission.
• If the device has been changed, thorough tests and checks must be carried out to ensure the continued
safety of further use of the device.

General notes
Important
• If you are taking medication such as pain relievers, antihypertensives or antidepressants, consult your
doctor before using the daylight therapy lamp.
• People with retinal diseases as well as diabetics need to be examined by an ophthalmologist before be-
ginning to use the daylight therapy lamp.
• Please do not use if you have an eye disease such as cataracts, glaucoma, diseases of the optic nerve in
general and inflammation of the vitreous humour.
• If you have health concerns of any kind, contact your general practitioner!
• Before you use the unit for the first time, remove all packaging materials.
• The lamp tubes are excluded from the warranty.
• The device should be positioned on a stable base and keep away from pets and children accessible area.

• Do not open the device. Please do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. This could result in serious inju-
ries. Failure to observe this regulation shall void the warranty.
• If you need to have the unit repaired, contact customer service or an authorised dealer.
• Upon request, the manufacturer may provide the circuit diagram, component list, description, calibration
details, other information necessary to assist the maintenance personnel in repairing medical equipment

5. Initial use
Take the device out of the plastic wrapping. Check the device for damage or faults. If you notice any damage or
faults on the device, do not use it and contact customer services or your supplier.
Positioning the device
Place the device on an even surface. The position should be chosen to ensure a distance of between 10cm and
40cm between the user and the device. The lamp is most effective at this distance.
Mains connection
• To prevent possible damage to the device, the daylight therapy lamp must only be used with the mains
part described here.
• Insert the mains part into the connection provided for this purpose on the rear of the daylight therapy
lamp. The mains part must only be connected to the mains voltage that is specified on the type plate.
• After using the daylight therapy lamp, unplug the mains part from the mains socket first and then discon-
nect it from the daylight therapy lamp.
Note:
• Ensure that there is a socket near the place where the lamp will stand.
• Lay the mains cable in such a way that no one can trip over it.
6. Operation

Press the ON/OFF button.
3LED display/timer
The daylight therapy lamp TL 70 indicates your current treatment time with the aid of 5 LEDs.
The treatment time can be set at the following 5 levels.
The timer function is not activated when the light is switched on for the first time. The light now shines
until it is switched off again or a treatment time is set (timer = 0 min).
In order to use the timer, set the desired level from 1 to 5 using the „+/-“ buttons. On level 1, a treatment
time of 15 minutes is set. The other levels are as follows:
The light switches off automatically after this treatment time. If you wish to deactivate the timer function,
you can press the „-“ button until the LEDs go out.
4Brightness adjustment
The daylight therapy lamp TL 70 has 10 brightness levels. The desired brightness level can be set using
the „+/-“
buttons on the side – this level should be set so that it is pleasant for the eye during the treatment.
When the device is switched off, the last level that was set is saved. When the device is next switched
on, it restarts with the saved brightness level.

5Enjoying the light
Sit as close as possible to the lamp, between 10 cm and 40 cm. You can go about your normal activities
while using it. You can read, write, make telephone calls, etc.
• Every so often, briefly look directly into the light, since the effect results from the eyes/ retina receiving
the light.
• Use the daylight therapy lamp as often as you want. However, the treatment is at its most effective if
you carry out the light therapy according to the prescribed time period of at least 7 successive days.
• The most effective time of day for the treatment is between 6am and 8pm
and we recommend that it is used for 2 hours per day.
• Do not look directly into the light the whole time you are using it, however, since that could lead to
overstimulation of the retina.
• Start with shorter periods of illumination, which you increase over the course of a week.
Note:
Eye aches and headaches may arise after the first times using the lamp. These will go
away in later sessions, as the nervous system will become accustomed to the new stimulation.
6Important instructions
When using the lamp, maintain the recommended distance of 10 - 40 cm between your face and the
lamp. The duration of the application depends on the distance:

Basically, the closer you are to the source of light, the less time you should use it.
7Enjoying light over longer periods
Repeat your use of the lamp in the dark seasons for at least 7 successive days, or even longer, depen-
ding on your individual needs. If possible, conduct the treatment in the morning hours.
8Switching off the lamp
Press the On/Off button. The LEDs switch off. Unplug the mains part from the mains socket.
CAUTION!
The light remains hot after use.. Let the lamp cool off first long enough before you put it away and/or pack
it up!
7. Cleaning and care of the unit
The unit should be cleaned occasionally.
Important
• Ensure that no water penetrates inside the unit!
Before you clean the unit, always switch it off, unplug it and let it cool off.
• Do not wash the unit in a washing machine!
Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the device.
• Do not touch the unit with wet hands while it is plugged in; do not allow any water to be sprayed onto the
unit. The unit must be operated only when it is completely dry.
Do not use abrasive detergents and never immerse the unit in water.
8. Storage
If you are not going to use the device for an extended period of time, disconnect it and store it in a dry place, out
of the reach of children.
Follow the storage instructions provided in the “Technical data” chapter.
• It takes about 30 mins. from the lowest storage ambient temperature of - 20 °C to resume normal operation at
an ambient temperature of 20 °C.
• It takes about 30 mins. from the highest storage ambient temperature of 50 °C to resume normal operation at
an ambient temperature of 20 °C.

9. Disposal
For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in the household waste at the end of its useful
life. Dispose of the unit at a suitable local collection or recycling point. Dispose of the device in accord-
ance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). If you have any questions,
please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal.

13. Warranty / Service
Beurer GmbH,Söflinger Straße 218, 89077 Ulm, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “Beurer”) provides a warran-
ty for this product, subject to the requirements below and to the extent described as follows.
The warranty conditions below shall not aect the seller’s statutory warranty obligations which ensue
from the sales agreement with the buyer.
The warranty shall apply without prejudice to any mandatory statutory provisions on liability.
Beurer guarantees the perfect functionality and completeness of this product.
The worldwide warranty period is 3 years, commencing from the purchase of the new, unused product from the
seller.
The warranty only applies to products purchased by the buyer as a consumer and used exclusively for personal
purposes in the context of domestic use.
German law shall apply.
During the warranty period, should this product prove to be incomplete or defective in functionality in accor-
dance with the following provisions, Beurer shall carry out a repair or a replacement delivery free of charge, in
accordance with these warranty conditions.
If the buyer wishes to make a warranty claim, they should approach their local retailer in the first in-
stance: see the attached “International Service” list of service addresses.
The buyer will then receive further information about the processing of the warranty claim, e.g. where they can
send the product and what documentation is required.
A warranty claim shall only be considered if the buyer can provide Beurer, or an authorised Beurer partner, with
– a copy of the invoice/purchase receipt, and
– the original product.
The following are explicitly excluded from this warranty:
– deterioration due to normal use or consumption of the product;
– accessories supplied with this product which are worn out or used up through proper use (e.g. batteries, re-
chargeable batteries, cuffs, seals, electrodes, light sources, attachments and nebuliser accessories);

instructions for use, as well as products that have been opened, repaired or modified by the buyer or by a ser-

Pourquoi une application de la lampe de luminothérapie?
Utilisation conforme aux recommandations
La lampe de luminothérapie est prévue pour fournir une source de lumière dans le cadre d’une «luminothéra-
pie», dans laquelle l’environnement de lumière artificielle procure à l’utilisateur un sentiment de détente ou l’aide
à soulager sa dépression ou à traiter les troubles affectifs saisonniers. De nombreuses personnes souffrent régu-
lièrement d’un manque d’énergie tout au long de la journée. Cet appareil peut être utilisé pour les stimuler et leur
donner d’énergie en supprimant l’hormone du sommeil dans le corps.
À l’automne, lorsque la durée d’ensoleillement décline sensiblement et que l’on reste plus longtemps en inté-
rieur au cours de l’hiver, il arrive de se trouver en manque de lumière. C‘est ce qu‘on appelle communément la
«dépression hivernale». Les symptômes sont nombreux:

La cause de l’apparition de ces symptômes se résume au besoin vital que représente la lumière et plus particu-

rectement la production de mélatonine, laquelle n‘est transmise au sang que pendant l‘obscurité. Cette hormone
indique au corps qu‘il est temps de dormir. Ainsi, dans les mois pauvres en soleil, la production de mélatonine
augmente. C‘est la raison pour laquelle le réveil est difficile, étant donné que les fonctions du corps sont mises
en veille. Si la lampe de luminothérapie est utilisée immédiatement après le réveil matinal, c‘est-à-dire le plus
tôt possible, la production de mélatonine peut être stoppée, si bien que cela engendre un revirement d‘humeur
positif. De surcroît, en cas de manque de lumière, la production de l‘hormone du bonheur, la sérotonine, est
empêchée, ce qui influence de manière déterminante notre „bien-être“. Par conséquent, il s‘agit, concernant
l‘application de lumière, de modifications quantitatives d‘hormones et de messagers chimiques dans le cerveau,
qui peuvent influencer notre niveau d‘activité, nos sentiments et le bien-être. La lumière peut aider à compenser
un déséquilibre hormonal.
Pour contrer un tel déséquilibre hormonal, les lampes de luminothérapie représentent un bon substitut à la
lumière du soleil.
Dans le domaine médical, les lampes de luminothérapie sont utilisées dans la luminothérapie contre le manque
de lumière. Les lampes de luminothérapie simulent la lumière du jour jusqu’à 10000lux. Cette lumière peut agir

Lisez attentivement ce mode d‘emploi, conservez-le pour un usage ultérieur, mettez-le à la disposition des autres
utilisateurs et suivez les consignes qui y figurent.
Consignes de sécurité
Avertissement
• La lampe de luminothérapie est exclusivement prévue pour l‘irradiation du corps humain.
• Avant l‘utilisation, il convient de s‘assurer que l‘appareil et les accessoires ne présentent pas d‘endomma-
gements apparents, et que tous les matériaux d‘emballage sont enlevés. En cas de doute, n‘utilisez pas
l‘appareil et adressez-vous à votre revendeur ou reportez-vous à l‘adresse du service après-vente indiquée.
• Veillez également à une position stable de la lampe de luminothérapie.
• L‘appareil doit uniquement être raccordé à la tension secteur indiquée sur la plaque signalétique.
• N‘immergez pas l‘appareil dans l‘eau et ne l‘utilisez pas dans des locaux humides.
• N‘utilisez pas l‘appareil sur des personnes dépendantes, des enfants de moins de 6 ans ou des per-
sonnes insensibles à la chaleur (personnes ayant des modifications de la peau suite à une maladie), après
la prise d‘antalgiques, d‘alcool ou de drogues.
• Tenez éloignés les enfants du matériau d‘emballage (danger d‘étouffement !).
• À l‘état chaud, l‘appareil ne doit pas être recouvert ni emballé.
• Débranchez toujours la fiche secteur et laissez l‘appareil refroidir avant de le toucher.

• À l‘état branché, l‘appareil ne doit pas être saisi avec des mains humides; il ne doit pas y avoir de projec-
tion d‘eau sur l‘appareil. L‘appareil doit uniquement être utilisé à l‘état entièrement sec.
• Veillez à ne pas brancher et débrancher la prise du secteur et à n’activer la touche MARCHE/ARRÊT
qu’avec des mains sèches.
• Tenez le câble d’alimentation éloigné des objets chauds et des flammes nues.
• Risque d‘étranglement en raison d‘un câble très long.
• Protégez l‘appareil contre les chocs importants.
• Ne pas débrancher l’adaptateur secteur en tirant sur le cordon d’alimentation.
• En cas d‘endommagements du câble d‘alimentation et du boîtier, adressez-vous au service après-vente
ou au revendeur, étant donné que des outils spéciaux sont nécessaires pour la réparation.
• La déconnexion du réseau d‘alimentation n‘est garantie que si la fiche secteur est débranchée de la prise
de courant.
• N’utilisez pas cet appareil en présence d’une combinaison de gaz anesthésiant inflammable et d’air,
d’oxygène ou d’oxyde d’azote.
• Cet appareil ne nécessite pas de calibrage ni de contrôles préventifs. Il n’est pas non plus nécessaire de
l’entretenir.
• Vous ne pouvez pas réparer l’appareil. Il ne contient aucune pièce que vous pouvez réparer.
• N’effectuez aucune modification sur l’appareil sans autorisation du fabricant.
• Lorsque l’appareil est à réparer, des tests et contrôles basiques doivent être effectués pour garantir la
sécurité de l’utilisation de l’appareil à l’avenir.
• Placez l’appareil de façon à ce qu’il soit facile de le débrancher de l’alimentation électrique.
• Avant chaque utilisation, assurez-vous que l’appareil est en parfait état. N’utilisez pas l’appareil s’il pré-
sente des dommages.
• L’utilisation prolongée d’un appareil défectueux peut être dangereuse et causer des blessures ou avoir
des résultats indésirables.
• Le boîtier se compose principalement de PC/ABS. Tenez-en compte pour éviter toute réaction allergique
à ces matériaux.
• L’appareil ne doit pas être utilisé sur des enfants de moins de 6ans, car il existe un risque d’inhalation ou
d’ingestion de petites pièces et de blessures par contact en cas de non-respect des instructions figurant
dans le mode d’emploi.
• Il est interdit d’utiliser des accessoires, des pièces amovibles et des matériaux qui ne sont pas décrits
dans le mode d’emploi.
Remarques générales

• En cas de prise de médicaments tels que sédatifs, anti-hypertenseurs et antidépresseurs, il convient de
demander l‘avis du médecin concernant l‘utilisation de la lampe de luminothérapie.
• Pour les personnes ayant des maladies de la rétine tout comme les diabétiques, il est recommandé, avant
l‘utilisation de la lampe de luminothérapie, de se faire examiner par un ophtalmologue.
• Veuillez ne pas utiliser l‘appareil dans le cas d‘affections oculaires telles que cataracte, glaucome, affec-
tions du nerf optique en général et dans le cas d‘inflammations du corps vitré.
• En cas de doutes de quelque nature que ce soit concernant la santé, consultez votre médecin traitant!
• Avant l‘utilisation de l‘appareil, retirez tout matériau d‘emballage.
• Les ampoules sont exclus de la garantie.
• L’appareil doit être placé sur une surface stable et conservé hors de portée des enfants et des animaux
domestiques.
Réparation
Attention
• Vous ne devez pas ouvrir l’appareil. Veuillez ne pas essayer de réparer vous-même l‘appareil. Vous risque-
riez des blessures graves. En cas de non-respect, la garantie est annulée.
• Adressez-vous pour les réparations au service après-vente ou à un revendeur agréé.
• Sur demande, le fabricant peut fournir le schéma électrique de l’appareil, la liste des composants, la des-
cription de l’appareil, les valeurs d’étalonnage et autres informations nécessaires pour aider le personnel
de maintenance à réparer les pièces du dispositif médical pouvant être réparées par le personnel de
maintenance désigné par le fabricant.
