Problems you may encounter:

1. Can I put my own coffee filter/paper filter on to the
filter unit?
Yes, you can replace the filter net we provided by
any other filter net/paper filter, please ensure the
size is 1x4, but please always use the filter funnel
provided.
2. Can I place my own coffee cup/coffee carafe on the
warming plate while brewing coffee?
No, since Brown ONE is designed with an anti-drip
function. This function prevents coffee from
running through the filter funnel if the carafe has
been removed from the warming plate. And the
coffee carafe we provided is designed to activate
this function. Thus, coffee would not able to run
through from the funnel into the replaced coffee
cup / carafe if you’re not using the original coffee
carafe.
3. I found the brewing time prolongs considerably
after certain times of brewing, what can I do?
It potentially indicates your Brown ONE need
descaling. The buildup of minerals inside the hot parts
of your coffee machine is commonly called lime scale.
Typically this will affect your boiler, the pumps and
any parts that carry hot water. It may results in
prolonging the brewing time. Please refer to the
part D of this user guide for a general and deep
cleaning guideline.

CAUTION:
Installation, inspection, maintenance and repair work should be carried out by qualified, suitably
trained personnel. Before any work is carried out, the appliance should be disconnected from the
electricity supply. Check regularly state of: power cord, moving parts, function buttons and security
screws. No parts can be repaired by the user. Use only original parts and accessories.
Do not let children to operate the machine. And never turn on the appliance unattended.
Before your first use of the appliance, please read this user guide carefully, it provides important
information regarding safe brewing. Please also keep it for your future reference:
1. The appliance is for household usage only, outdoor usage is not recommended.
2. Keep the appliance and the supply cord out of the reach of children and animals. They should be supervised
to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
3. Before using the appliance, please remove all packing materials.
4. After unpacking the appliance, check that it is undamaged and no parts are missing. If in doubt, contact the
store where the appliance was bought.
5. All contents of the package, such as plastic bags, styrofoam, tape, etc., should be kept out of reach of
children, as it could be dangerous and cause suffocation.
6. Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer and those provided with the appliance, otherwise
they could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
7. Before using the appliance, check that the supply voltage details marked on the appliance agree with those
of the electricity supply. The label is placed on the appliance. If you have any doubts please ask qualified
electrician for help.
8. All installation, assembly, assistance and maintenance procedures must be performed by qualified
personnel in accordance with current regulations.
9. The appliance must be earthed and its circuit must be in compliance with the relevant safety standards. In
case the power socket and the plug of the appliance do not correspond, let the socket be removed and
changed by an authorized person only.
10. Single and multiple adapters and/or extensions are not recommended. In case their use becomes necessary,
use simple or multiple adapters, in accordance with the relevant safety standards, without exceeding
neither the power handling capacity marked on the adapter and on the extensions, nor the overload limit
marked on the multiple-adapter.
11. The temperature of warming plate, water tank, coffee jug may be high when the appliance is operating
or immediately after use, which is normal and results from its proper function. Prevent contact with the
skin as this can cause burns.
12. To clean your Brown ONE, please follow our cleaning instructions on part D on this user guide.
13. The appliance is equipped with an auto-stop function that automatically switches off the appliance after 40
minutes warming time.
14. Store the appliance indoors when not in use and out of the reach of children. Ensure it’s completely cooled
down and dried.

The brown ONE is featured with the following special design and providing you a “pour-over“coffee
experience at home:
Why “Pour-over”is different
Pour-over coffee (unlike other brewing methods) continuously replenishes the liquid surrounding the coffee
grounds with new, fresher water. The hot water in boiled and rest to ideal temperature, directly pour over the
coffee grounds on top of the coffee grounds quickly, gently, and evenly across the filter. Your Brown ONE is
designed in the same technique. This creates a faster, more efficient brew, more importantly the aroma of
coffee grounds can be perfectly extracted.
Anti-drip function
This coffee maker has an automatic anti-drip function that prevents coffee from running through the
filter funnel if the carafe has been removed from the warming plate. This means that the glass carafe
can be shortly taken off the coffee maker during brewing. It is important, however, to put back the
glass carafe on the warming plate within 30 seconds. If not, the coffee will overflow.
Keep warm and auto-stop function
The coffee maker is equipped with an auto-stop function that automatically switches off the
appliance after 40 minutes warming time.
D. To use your Brown ONE : start coffee brewing

The warming plate underneath the glass carafe gets very hot when the
appliance is operating or immediately after use. Remember always to switch off
the coffee maker with the ON/OFF button ( ) when the carafe has been emptied
or when you no longer want to keep the coffee warm.
Step ①Put the glass carafe on the warming plate
Put the glass carafe on the warming plate.
Make sure that the glass carafe is correctly
positioned as illustrate on the picture.
The “drip stop”is now deactivated and coffee is
able to runthrough the filter unit into the glass
carafe.
“drip stop” is activated when
the glass carafe is not in place.

Completely clean the filter funnel by making 2 brews without coffee before the first use. Let
the water run through and pour out the water. Rinse the glass carafe and repeat. For the best
result of coffee brewing, please always use clean, cold water.

Step ②Fill water into the water tank, MAX 1.25 L (10 cups)
Step ③Loosen the filter unit and place the filter funnel
Remove the lid of the water tank and pour the
wanted quantity of clean and cold water, but do not
exceed 10 cups, check the water level indicator on
the water tank.
*the amount of coffee will always be lesser than the
amount of water you added, since the coffee
grounds absorb some water.
Put the lid back on the water tank before brewing.
Place the lid so that the print “FRONT” on top of the
lid faces forward and the print “BACK” faces
towards the back of the coffee maker.
Pull the handle of the filter unit in the direction
of the arrow.
Position the filter funnel in the filter unit. The
handle should always be in the top position for
placing in the filter funnel properly.
The funnel will be properly placed in the correct
position.

Step ④Add net filter or paper filter, add coffee powder
Step⑤Switch on your Brown ONE
firsly place the coffee filter we provided or
purchase your own paper filter (size: 1x4)
After that, you may use the provided coffee
spoon to add your favourite coffee power into
the filter.
*The filter funnel work best when they're between one
half to two-thirds full of coffee grounds. Any less than
that, and there won't be enough coffee to restrict the
flow. Therefore, we suggested to add at least 30 g
coffee grounds for the best result (approxmiately 4
flat spoon)
Press the (ON/OFF) button to switch on your
brown ONE, and the signal lamp goes on.
The Brown ONE is now ready to brew.
It only takes around 60-90 seconds to brew you
a cup of coffee with barista-quality.

The appliance must not be immersed in water or directly rinse by water or
other liquid.
Remember always to empty the water tank and filter funnel after used.
Step ①
Remove the coffee filter if it’s still in the funnel and clean the funnel with a damp cloth and wipe with a
dry, soft cloth.
Step ②
Wipe the water tank with a cloth or paper to make sure that there are no remaining particles. All removable
parts (glass carafe, the lid and the filter funnel) must be washed by hand and they are not dishwasher-proof.

Regular descaling
What is "Scale"?
The buildup of minerals inside the hot parts of your coffee machine is commonly called lime scale. Typically
this will affect your boiler, the pumps and any parts that carry hot water.
When you encounter the following situations, it indicates your Brown ONE may needs descaling:
An acrid and bitter taste
If the brewing time prolongs considerably
If the coffee maker is “sizzling”
Descaling is a more comprehensive cleaning, here is our suggested method:
Proportion of vinegar and water is 1:2
Fill water in the container up to the 1 ¾ (6-cups) marking
Fill vinegar in the container until it reach 9 cups marking
Switch on the appliance and let 2/3 of the solution pass through
Switch off the appliance and let the solution stay in the appliance for about 15 minutes
Switch on again and let the rest of the solution pass
Finally, let the appliance boil with clean water 2 or 3 times
We recommend descaling of the coffee maker once a month or when the appliance has made 25 brews. If
you live in an area with hard water you may need to descale the coffee maker more frequently.

2. Store the appliance in a dry and ventilated place, away from sources of heat and direct sunlight.
3. Do not place heavy objects on the coffee maker as the glass is breakable.

除了我們附送的咖啡濾網，您可以自行配置喜歡
的咖啡濾網或濾紙，尺寸為 1X4，但請緊記，必
須使用我們附送的咖啡漏斗。
2. 當沖泡咖啡期間，我可否放自已的咖啡杯或咖啡
壺在保溫板上?
不可以，Brown ON 咖啡機具有自動防滴漏功
能，如咖啡壺於沖泡咖啡期間從保溫板上被移
開，咖啡會停留在過濾漏斗中。
如放上其他咖啡杯或咖啡壺，咖啡將不能流向你
的咖啡杯或咖啡壺中。
3. 沖泡時間好像大大延長了，應怎麼辦?

咖啡機中經常接觸水分並發熱的部份，容易有礦
物積聚，普遍稱為”水垢”。一般會影響水箱，

Brown ONE 咖啡機有以下的設計，令你的 Brown ONE 更獨特，在家也可享受”手沖咖啡”的體驗:
「手沖咖啡」有何獨特之處?
「手沖咖啡」 技術 （有別於其他沖泡方法）不斷往咖啡粉周圍補充新鮮的水。水會被煲滾及閒置至
理想溫度，於咖啡粉的正上方快速，溫和，均勻地圍著過濾漏斗倒下。你的 Brown ONE 便正可滿
足此 「手沖」 技術。沖泡咖啡時便會更快，更高效率，咖啡香氣亦可更完美地提取。
防滴漏功能
Brown ONE 咖啡機具有自動防滴漏功能，如咖啡壺於沖泡咖啡期間從保溫板上被移開，咖啡會停留在
過濾漏斗中，如有需要您可於沖泡期間拿走咖啡壺，但請於 30 秒內把咖啡壺放回保溫板上，否則咖
啡會溢出。
自動關機功能
設有自動關機功能。完成咖啡沖泡程序後，會先保溫４０分鐘，隨後會自動關機。省電及安
全。

在咖啡壺下方的保溫板溫度非常高，當咖啡壺已經清空時，請按"開/關"
鍵關掉咖啡機以停止保溫程序。
步驟①先把咖啡壺保溫板上
步驟②加水進水箱,最多 1.25 公升（10 杯）
先把咖啡壺放在保溫板上
確保蓋上的入水位正確地對準過濾裝置下的出水
位。
先拿起水箱蓋子，倒入所需要的水（清潔及室溫），
不可超過 1.25 公升（10 杯） ，水箱上印有水位指
示。
*咖啡沖泡後，咖啡份量會比原先加入的水少，由於
沖泡期間咖啡粉會吸收少量水份。
將蓋子蓋好: 印有"FRONT"字樣的一面向前，此時印
有"BACK"字樣的一面將向機身後方。
最多 1.25 公升(10 杯)

第一次使用前，加入清水進水箱，啟動咖啡機（不需加入咖啡粉），利用熱水沖洗過濾漏斗／途經
的部份／咖啡壺。建議重覆以上程序兩次。要沖出泡出最理想的咖啡請使用清潔及室溫食水。

依箭嘴指示的方向打開過濾裝置。
將過濾漏斗放好，放下時，手柄保持向上拉起。
放下手柄後漏斗便會正確地鎖好
可配以我們附送的咖啡濾網或選購合適的濾
紙。（尺寸: 1x4）
然後便可以加入咖啡粉。
* 由於本咖啡機設有"手沖"技術，咖啡濾網/濾紙需要約
一半或三份之二滿的咖啡粉，才可達至最佳效果。
如少於一半滿，咖啡粉將不足以限制水停留在咖啡
粉中的流量。我們建議加入約 30 克咖啡粉（大概 4
個平匙= 約4杯咖啡）。
按開關鍵, 此時訊號燈會亮起，表示 Brown
ONE已準備好為你沖泡一杯「手沖咖啡」
一杯咖啡只需等待約 60 秒。

請勿把產品浸在水或其他液體裡清洗。
請於每次使用後清空水箱及過濾漏斗。
步驟 ①
把過濾漏斗拿起，用濕潤的布清潔過濾裝置的內圍，並用乾及軟身的布抹乾。
步驟 ②
用布抹乾水箱，確保沒有殘餘物。請注意所有配件(包括咖啡壺, 蓋子及過濾漏斗) 均不可用洗碗碟機清
洗。

定期清理水垢
什麼是水垢?
咖啡機中經常接觸水分並發熱的部份，容易有礦物積聚，普遍稱為「水垢」。一般會影響水箱，
通往過濾裝置的水管或其他會接觸熱水的部份。
如遇到以下情況，很可能代表著你的咖啡機需要除垢處理:
品嚐咖啡時發現味道帶苦，甚至刺鼻
沖泡時間大大延長
咖啡機發出噝噝聲響
除垢是一種較深層的清潔方法:
白醋和水的比例為 1:2
先倒水至 1 ¾ (6 杯) 的水位標示
再倒白醋直至 9 杯的水位
啟動咖啡機讓約 2/3 的水流向咖啡壺, 然後關掉咖啡機
等待 15 分鐘
再次啟動咖啡機，讓餘下的水流向咖啡壺
最後請倒入清水，重覆啟動約 2-3 次以進行最後清洗
我們建議每月或於每 25 次沖泡後，便可進行除垢處理。如你身處的地區所用的水含有高濃度礦物
質，請更緊密地進行除垢處理。
