Introduction
pettrustplus is developed to accurately measure the blood pressure of dogs and cats, with
a high degree of accuracy. In the measurement of blood pressure, the user's experience
and practices for equipment performance is very important. The user manual is a guide
designed to help you understand the capabilities and operation of your pettrust NIBP
monitor. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device and keep it for
reference. For other questions regarding this system, please contact your local customer
service.

Safety Precautions
* Please follow this instructions and use it correctly.
* The following safety precautions are for the prevention of danger and damage.
* Details are as follows :

Before the measurement begins, make sure that the pressure does not cause the dog and the
dog to worsen.
The accuracy of blood pressure readings may be adversely affected if the animal is moving or
shivering.
If there is a drug treatment for dogs and cats, may affect the measurement results, please use
caution.
Electric shock in the environment, may affect the measurement results, please use caution.
The pettrust is not intended for use in an MRI environment or in an air transport nvironment.

* For Battery, please read the following notes :
DO NOT operate the unit in a highly flammable environment.
If the measurement site has edema or congestion, please stop measuring.
DO NOT use other cuffs for measurement.
DO NOT use other brands of chargers for charging.
DO NOT operate the unit with wet hands to avoid electric shock or malfunction.
DO NOT press the button with a sharp item. Press the finger pulp.
In case of damage to the battery, replace the product immediately.
Please confirm the safety of the power outlet, it is recommended to use the hospital-level
outlet.
In case of battery d amage caused by leakage, please rinse with plenty of water and immediately
to the doctor.
If the appearance of the battery is damaged, please stop using it and contact the dealer
immediately.
Only 5VDC (including) the following voltage, otherwise it will damage the device.
The battery is fully charged to extend the battery life, please develop a good charging habits.
DO NOT use in direct sunlight or below the freezing point to avoid damage to the battery.
DO NOT short-circuit the battery, or high-current discharge results will lead to wire fire.
DO NOT remove the battery during maintenance and measurement.
Battery waste, should be in accordance with the provisions of local national laws, so as not to
cause environmental pollution.

Warranty
BioCare Corporation warranties new equipment to be free from defects in workmanship
and materials form a period of one year from date of shipment under normal use and
service. BioCare’s obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing, at BioCare’s
option, any part which upon BioCare’s examination proves defective.
Except as described in the preceding paragraph, BioCare makes no warranties, express
of implied, including any warranty of merchantability of fitness for a particular purpose.
Exemptions
BioCare’s obligation or liability under this warranty does not include any transportation
or other charges or liability for direct, or consequential damages or delay resulting form
the improper use or application of the product; or the substitution upon it of parts
or accessories not approved by BioCare; or repair by anyone other than a BioCare
authorized representative.
This warranty shall not extend to any instrument that has been subjected to misuse,
negligence, or accident; any instrument from which BioCare’s original serial number tag
or product identification markings have been altered or removed; or any product of any
other manufacturer.

Intended Use
Introduction
The pettrust offers the advantages over previous veterinary blood pressure. Using
pettrust, the BP can be measured in awake or anesthetized animals. pettrust use the
oscillometric method which simplifies the measurement of blood pressure in companion
animals.
It is useful for monitoring BP and heart rate during surgical procedures on animals
under anesthesia. pettrust offer seven different size cuff ordered to take the accurate
measurement of pressure in dogs and cats.
Operator Controls and Connectors
This section provides an overview of the operator controls and the connectors. It shows
the location of the controls and connectors and describes each one. It explains the
control’s purpose and how to use it. Detailed use of each control is described in other
sections of this manual.

Key Function
Press to turn power on. Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn
power off.
Press and hold for 3 seconds to setup the functions and
parameters.
Press this key to alarm silence.
In the measurement, press the button to open the pulse.
measurement start key. Press the key again to cancel
measurement.
Press and hold the key to place the monitor in STAT mode.
Press to scroll through the available 10 sec ~ 2 hrs measure
intervals.
Press this key to review stored data.
Press this key to scroll up through sub selections.

・ Side Panel
1. Reset : return default situation.
2. NIBP connector : NIBP cuff hose connects.
3. Battery charge connector : Connect the charger.
4. Mini USB port : When you install the dedicated
BT Dongle. You can sent data to the PC by
wireless transmission.
・ Data Transmission
1. Please use the dedicated BT Dongle.
2. When you connect the dedicated BT Dongle,
the " "symbol is displayed on the LCD screen.
3. Only connect the dedicated BT dongle to Mini
USB port, do not use any other transmission
cable.
4. PC software and the dedicated BT Dongle for
sale, if necessary, please contact your dealer.

・ The External AC Indicator
Indicators Explanation
Indicating that the battery power is too low, if not charged,
the device will automatically shut down.
Connecting the battery charger with the device and the
batteries are charging.
The batteries are fully charged.

Section 2. Setup Procedures
・ Placing the Unit into Service
1.Remove the pettrust from the shipping container.
2.Connect the battery charger as described
3.Ensure the external AC Indicator is on.
4.Allow the monitor’s battery to charge for 8 hours.
・ Charging the Battery
1.Please use the original configuration of the charger to charge.
2.Place the battery charger on a flat, stable surface.
3.Do not place anything on or against the battery charger.
4.The battery should be charged whenever the low battery indicator is illuminated.

・ Setting the Monitor
Press the and hold for 3 seconds, will enter the setup mode. You can setting the
date, time, units, alarm limits, button beep and memory deletion can be set in the monitor.
☑ Note one : Press up or down button to make changes. Press the setup button to confirm and
next setting.
☑ Note two : Number can be advanced faster by holding the up or down button.
☑ Note three : If you’d like to skip the setting procedure, press the or start button to escape it.
☑ Note four : Standby in setup mode for 5 minutes, it will automatically back to the main screen.
1.Year Setting
The year could be set from 2000 to 2099.

2. Month Setting
The month could be set from 1 to 12.
3. Day Setting
The day could be set from 1 to 31 depend on month and year. It had been preset by
program.

4. Hour Setting
The hour could be set from 0 to 23.
5. Minute Setting
The minute could be set from 0 to 59.

6. 12H/24H (AM/PM) Setting
The time format could be changed automatically between 12H or 24H by user.
24 H to 00: 00 ~ 23: 59 display.
12 H to 12: 00 ~ 11: 59AM or PM display.
7. Unit of Blood Pressure Setting
The unit could be changed automatically between “ ” and “ ” by user.

8. Alarm Limit Settings
A. Alarm will activate when a high alarm limit is exceeded or the measured valve drops
below a low alarm limit. The monitor provides visible and audible alarms on
the interface display screen.
