1Safety Information
Dear Customer,
we are pleased that you have chosen this
Biocomfort product.
Please read these safety and operation
instructions before using this Biocomfort
product or any accessories provided with this
product or allowing any other person to use
this product. When using this Biocomfort
product, these basic safety precautions and
warnings must be followed to reduce the risk
of injury to your person and health, the risk
of damage to the Biocomfort product and the
risk of injury or damage to other persons or
property. Retain all safety, operating and use
instructions for future reference.
If you allow any other person to use this
product, you must ensure that the person has
received and read and understands this user
manual, including in particular the safety
instructions herein.
Keep this user manual in close proximity to
the equipment.
All warnings on the product and in the user
manual must be strictly adhered to. You are
responsible to ensure that any other person
using this product adheres to these warnings
and instructions.
All operating, use and assembly instructions
must be followed by you. Failure to do so
could result in health injury, bodily harm
and/or damage to the equipment or other
property.
The product is only intended for use as
described in this manual.

1.1 Intended use
The Wireless RF Gateway CFC105 is
designed to manage wireless networks of
Biocomfort devices such as a blood pressure
monitor, a blood glucose monitor or a
diagnostic scale, to configure these devices
and to receive the readings measured with
these devices.
1.2 Warnings
The symbols below identify and alert the
user to the presence of important safety,
operating, and service instructions.
WARNING:
Indicates that non-compliance with the
safety instructions may lead to health injury
or bodily harm of the user or other persons.
CAUTION:
Indicates that non-compliance with the
safety instructions may lead to damage to the
product or other property and/or to bodily
harm of the user or other persons.

WARNING:
This product is only intended for adults, not
for children or infants. Do not allow any
child or infant to use this product.
WARNING:
This product contains one or more chemicals
known to the State of California to cause
cancer and birth defects or other
reproductive harm.
CAUTION:
Do not open, disassemble or tamper with the
product in any way. Opening the device
automatically cancels all warranties. If you
have technical or troubleshooting questions,
please contact us via web, email and phone.
CAUTION:
Never push objects of any kind into the
product or accessories through openings as
this action might short-circuit parts and result
in a fire or electric shock.
Do not locate or use the product or
accessories near water (for example, near a
bathtub or a sink, in a wet basement, or near
a swimming pool). Never immerse the
product in any liquid and never spill liquid
of any kind on the equipment or cables or
cords.
CAUTION:
Do not use liquid, aerosol cleaners, or
solvents on or near the product or any
accessory. Clean only with a dry cloth.
Disconnect any cables from the computer
and before cleaning either the product or any
accessory.
CAUTION:
This product should never be placed near or
over a radiator or heat register.

CAUTION:
Do not use mobiles phones, microwave
ovens or other instruments that emit an
electromagnetic field near this device as they
may cause this device to malfunction.
CAUTION:
Use only with Biocomfort parts and
accessories with this device.
Parts and accessories not approved by
Biocomfort for use with this device may
damage the unit.
CAUTION:
Do not activate or use the wireless device
where the use of wireless devices (e.g.
phones) is prohibited or when it may cause
interference or danger.
CAUTION:
The wireless device may not work properly if
it is near a wireless device or equipment that
has not been approved by or does not
comply with the regulations of the Federal
Communications Commission (FCC). Any
such device or equipment may interfere with
the operation of the Biocomfort wireless
device.
CAUTION:
Do not use the wireless device in hospitals or
near other medical equipment or devices
that is not manufactured by Biocomfort.
Follow any restrictions imposed by hospitals
on the use of wireless devices.

Do note use the wireless device on aircraft.
Wireless devices can cause interference in
aircraft. Follow instructions by authorized
aircraft personnel.

Do not use the wireless device at a refueling

device where blasting is in progress

2Using the Wireless RF
Gateway for the first time
Caution:
Please install the software before you
connect the wireless gateway with the
computer.

2.2 Installing the software
As the Wireless RF Gateway can be part of
various Product Packages the installation of
the drivers for the CFC105 may be different
from case to case. Therefore please refer to
the software installation instructions of the
package the CFC105 came with.

Information
This product (other than the software and
documentation) is subject to the Biocomfort
One-Year Limited Warranty separately
included herewith and also available from
Biocomfort or any authorized Biocomfort
dealer or from Biocomfort’s website at
http://www.biocomfort.com/support.
If you do not agree with, and do not want to
be bound by, the terms of the Biocomfort
one-year limited warranty, return the box
and its contents, including the hardware and
accessories unused and the unopened
software packet, to Biocomfort, or to the
authorized Biocomfort dealer where you
purchased the product, within fourteen (14)
days of purchase, together with proof of
purchase, and your full purchase price will
be refunded. By using this product or letting
the 14-day period lapse, you agree to the
terms of the Biocomfort one-year limited
warranty.
7Software License Information
The software in this box, and any software or
firmware installed on the hardware in this
box, is subject to the terms and conditions of
the Biocomfort End-User License Agreement
separately included herewith and also
available from Biocomfort or any authorized
Biocomfort dealer or from Biocomfort’s
website at
http://www.biocomfort.com/support.
If you do not agree with, and do not want to
be bound by, the terms and conditions of the
Biocomfort End-User license agreement,
return the box and its contents, including the

unopened software packet, together with the
hardware and accessories unused, to
Biocomfort or to the authorized Biocomfort
dealer within fourteen (14) days of purchase,
together with proof of purchase, and your
full purchase price will be refunded. By
opening the sealed software packet inside

9Limitation of Liability and
Exclusion of Statutory
Remedies
To the maximum extent permissible by
applicable law, in no event shall Biocomfort
or its direct, indirect and ultimate parent
companies, its other affiliates, or their
respective licensors, be liable for any
consequential, indirect, special, incidental,
punitive or other damages whatsoever,
including without limitation damages for loss
of future or anticipated business profits, loss
of goodwill, loss of revenue, loss of business
opportunity, business interruption, loss of
business information, or any other pecuniary
loss, and including under any claim of
negligence, strict liability, design defect, or
other theory, arising from (1) any defect in
the software or the use of or inability to use
the software or firmware installed on any
hardware sold to you, or furnished with or
referenced, in this user manual or from the
licensing of the software or firmware by
Biocomfort or the provision of any services
by Biocomfort or Biocomfort USA, (2) any
defect or error in this user manual or any
other documentation, even if Biocomfort
and/or Biocomfort USA have been advised
by you of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by
applicable law, Biocomfort and its direct,
indirect and ultimate parent companies, its
other affiliates, its suppliers and its contract
manufacturers shall have no liability for
punitive, special, incidental, consequential
or indirect damages resulting from the
purchase or use or non-use of any
Biocomfort product or any part thereof, from
any product defect, from any damage to real
or personal property, from any use in
disregard of any instructions or any warnings

attached to or furnished with the product, or
from breach of warranty, breach of contract,
negligence, tort liability, strict liability, or
any other legal or equitable theory, and you
hereby irrevocably waive all claims to that
effect. Excluded damages shall include, but
not be limited to, product (re-)installation
expenses, loss of anticipated benefits, profits,
savings or revenue, loss of goodwill, business
interruption damages, loss of time or use of
the product, any third party claim, and injury
to property, even if Biocomfort knew of the
likelihood of such damage.
The maximum liability of Biocomfort, its
parent company, affiliates, and suppliers
with respect to all applicable express and
implied warranties shall not exceed the
purchase price amount paid for the
Biocomfort product.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or
limitation of special, incidental,
consequential or indirect damages, so the
above limitation and exclusion may not
apply to you.
