IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be taken including
the following:
• Use the fan only for purposes described in
the instruction manual.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not
immerse the fan, plug or cord in water or
spray with liquids.
• Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from the electrical outlet when not in
use, when moving the fan from one location
to another, before putting on or taking off
parts and before cleaning.
• Avoid contact with any moving parts.
• Do not operate in the presence of explosive
and/or flammable fumes.
• Do not operate fan until fully assembled with
all parts properly in place.
• To avoid fire hazard, NEVER place the cord
under rugs or any parts near an open flame,
cooking or other heating appliance.
• Ensure that the fan is switched off from the
supply mains before removing the guard.
• Do not operate any appliance with a
damaged cord, plug, after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been dropped/damaged
in any manner.
• The use of attachments not recommended or
sold by the appliance manufacturer may
cause hazards.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a
table or counter, or come into contact with
hot surfaces.
• To disconnect from the electrical supply, grip
the plug and pull from the wall outlet. DO
NOT pull on the cord.
• Always use on a dry, level surface.
• Do not operate without the fan grills properly
in place.
• This product is intended for household use
ONLY and not for commercial or industrial
applications.
• Should the fan stop working, first check the fuse
in the plug (UK only) or fuse/circuit breaker at
the distribution board is operating, before
contacting the manufacturer or service agent.
• If the supply cord or plug is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer or its
service agent or a similarly qualified person
in order to avoid hazard.
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.

BASE POLE ASSEMBLY (See Figure 1)
1. Extend the upper pole through the top of the
lower pole and secure it firmly by turning the
height adjust knob clockwise.
2. Insert the bottom of the lower pole into the
hole on the top of the base.
3. Insert the L-shaped locking lever into the
bottom of the base and the lower pole. Turn
the L-shaped locking lever clockwise and
tighten to securely attach the pole to the
base.
FAN HEAD ASSEMBLY (See Figure 1)
You are now ready to assemble the fan head.
1. Position the rear grill over the motor shaft,
ensuring that the notches at the top and
bottom of the rear grill fit over the protruding
notches on the motor housing. Make sure the
rear grill fits securely against the motor
housing.
2. Fasten the rear grill in place using the rear
grill nut. Turn the nut clockwise and tighten
firmly.
ENGLISH 3. Slide the fan blade, with the hollowed interior
of the fan blade facing toward the rear grill,
firmly onto the motor shaft, making sure the
two notches fit over the pin.
4. Open the grill locking nut on the guard loop.
Place the guard loop on the rear grill with the
locking nut at the bottom. Assemble the front
grill on the guard loop until all sides snap.
Rotate the front grill until the BionaireTM logo
is horizontal and parallel to the floor. Fasten
the grill locking nut and ensure the front and
rear grills are snapped securely in position.
Final Assembly (See Figure 1)
1. Insert the fan head assembly into the pole/
base assembly until tight. Turn the pole
locking nut clockwise to secure.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS (See
Figure 2)
1. Set fan on a dry, level surface.
2. Plug power cord into the appropriate outlet.
3. To turn the fan on, turn the variable speed
dial (O) clockwise to your desired speed. The
speed may be regulated to your desired
speed by turning the dial in either direction.
To turn the fan off, turn the variable speed
dial all the way to the left until reaching the
Off “O” position.
4. To oscillate the fan head, press the
oscillation button (N) above the variable
speed dial. To stop the oscillation, press the
button again.
ADJUSTMENT
Height Adjustment
This fan is equipped with an expandable pole,
which allows you to adjust the height of the fan
according to your preference.
Tilt Adjustment
To change the tilting angle of the fan head, move
the fan head manually to the desired angle.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Follow these instructions to correctly and safely
care for your BionaireTM fan. Please remember:
• Always unplug the fan before cleaning or
assembly.
• Do not allow water to drip on or into the fan
motor housing.
• Be sure to use a soft cloth, moistened with a
mild soap solution.
• Do not use any of the following as a cleaner:
petrol, thinners or benzene.
Fan Blade cleaning
(See instructions for fan head assembly)
1. Carefully remove the front grill from the
guard loop.
2. Clean the fan blade, front and rear grill with a
soft moist cloth.
3. Replace the fan blade, tighten blade lock nut
and securely fasten the front grill with the grill
locking nut.
Fan head, base and pole cleaning
Using a soft, moist cloth, with or without a mild
soap solution, carefully clean the fan base, pole
and head. Please use caution around the motor
housing area. Do not allow the motor or other
electrical components to be exposed to water.
FAN STORAGE
Your fan can be stored either partially
disassembled or assembled.
It is important to keep it in a safe, dry location.
• If stored disassembled, we recommend using
the original (or appropriately sized) box.
• If stored assembled or partially assembled,
remember to protect the fan head from dust.
