• Do not drop the product. The product may
malfunction if it is subjected to strong shocks or
vibration.
• Avoid sudden changes in temperature: Sudden
changes in temperature, such as those that occur
when entering or leaving a heated building on a

the AVIX Lite:
1. Make certain the rechargeable battery is charged.
2. Turn the screwcap counter-clockwise to open the

For effective bird repelling, project the laser dot on
the ground in front of you (A) and slowly move the dot
toward the birds (B). Make sure no vehicles, people
or reective objects are present between you and the
birds. The AVIX Lite should not be used like a gun, i.e.,
do not employ a “point and shoot” technique.

During bright weather conditions, make sure that the
birds are positioned between the user and the sun. If
not, bright sunlight could inhibit the repelling action.
Moisture: Ensure the AVIX Lite is kept dry. Remove
any surface moisture with a dry cloth.
Protected species: Local regulations may prohibit the
repelling of specic (protected) bird species. Always
consult relevant laws and regulations before using
the AVIX Lite.
4. Accessories
Battery charger
Use the included battery charger to recharge the
batteries.
1. Plug one end of the power cable or car charger
adapter to the charger’s power input. Plug the other
end of the cord into a wall outlet or the cigarette
lighter socket in your vehicle.
2. Insert the battery in the charger slot and make sure
the positive battery pole corresponds with the (+)
symbol on the charger (gure 6.1). Make sure that
solid contact is made between battery poles and
metal contact points. Once inserted, all the four
status indicators light up for two seconds (Z in
gure 6.1). Afterwards some of the lower status
indicators will turn off, with at least one indicator
blinking. This indicates that the battery is charging.
Charging is completed when the three lower (green)
status indicators are all continuously illuminated.
It takes 2 to 3 hours to fully charge an AVIX Lite
battery.
The charger monitors the charging status of the
battery and will stop charging when the battery is fully
charged. To ensure safe operation, the battery charger
is equipped with overcharge protection and reverse
polarity protection.
If a battery is inserted in reverse or if a defective
battery is inserted, all four status indicators will
continously blink.
CAUTION:
• Only one battery should be inserted per charger slot.
• Non-rechargeable batteries cannot be charged with
this battery charger.
• Use a power source corresponding to the voltage
specied on the nameplate of the charger.
• Do not charge the battery in presence of ammable
liquids or gases.
• Do not expose charger to moisture, water, rain, snow
or spray.
• Never carry the charger by the power cord or yank it
to disconnect from socket.
• After charging or before attempting any
maintenance or cleaning, unplug the charger from
the power source. Pull by plug rather than cord
whenever disconnecting the charger.
• Make sure the cord is located so that it will not be
stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise subjected to
damage or stress.
• Do not operate the charger with a damaged cord or
plug - replace these immediately.
• Only use the supplied power cables.
• Do not operate the charger or disassemble the
charger if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped,
or otherwise damaged in any way. Incorrect use or
reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock or
re.
• Do not charge a battery when temperature is below
-10°C (14°F) or above 40°C (104°F).
• Do not disassemble the charger. There are no user-
serviceable parts inside.
• Keep the charger and the power cord away from
children.

to a leaking battery. If battery is leaking, contents
may be irritating to respiratory passages. Move to
