RADIO FREQUENCY INTERFERENCE STATEMENTS
This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio-frequency energy, and if not
installed and used properly, that is, in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions, may cause interference to radio communication. It has been tested
and found to comply with the limits for a Class A computing device in accordance
with the specifications in Subpart B of Part 15 of FCC rules, which are designed to
provide reasonable protection against such interference when the equipment is
operated in a commercial environment. Operation of this equipment in a

ELECTRICAL SAFETY STATEMENT
INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD
1. Todas las instrucciones de seguridad y operación deberán ser leídas antes de
que el aparato eléctrico sea operado.
2. Las instrucciones de seguridad y operación deberán ser guardadas para
referencia futura.
3. Todas las advertencias en el aparato eléctrico y en sus instrucciones de
operación deben ser respetadas.
4. Todas las instrucciones de operación y uso deben ser seguidas.
5. El aparato eléctrico no deberá ser usado cerca del agua—por ejemplo, cerca

CHAPTER 2: Overview
2. Overview
Easy-AV Drop Boxes are ideal table top boxes for single users, when convenient
access to network drops, AC power sources, and video/audio displays is required.
Use them in desks, lecterns, lab tables, boardroom tables, control consoles, and
classrooms. The compact boxes are available in silver or black.
The AVS1000–AVS1001 and AVS1010–AVS1011 enable users to connect their
laptop or PC to an external video display and house sound system, and also link to
network and phone lines. The AVS1100–AVS1101 and AVS1110–AVS1111 provide
access to AC power and a network for up to two computers or laptops.
Keystone openings accommodate a variety of connectors, including S-Video, RCA,
CAT5e, CAT6, RJ-11 phone, and USB.
The boxes fit a 31⁄2" round opening. To install, simply drill a 31⁄2" hole using a
standard hole saw.
AVS1000/AVS1010 models include:
• (1) AV table top unit
• (1) mounting plate
• (1) hardware bag containing (5) short wood screws, (2) cable ties, (2) double-
sided female hex nuts, (2) 2-1⁄2" threaded machine screws, and (2) 2" threaded
machine screws.

The AVS1001 and AVS1011 have the same connectors and openings shown in
Figure 2-1, but have a square cover instead of a round one.

AVS1100/AVS1110 models include:
• (1) AV table top unit
• (1) mounting plate
• (1) hardware bag containing (5) short wood screws, (2) cable ties, (2) double-
sided female hex nuts, (2) 2-1⁄2" threaded machine screws, and (2) 2" threaded
machine screws.
Figure 2-2 illustrates the AVS1100/AVS1110.

The AVS1101 and AVS1111 have the same connectors and openings shown in
Figure 2-2, but have a square cover instead of a round one.
Both AVS1000 and AVS1100 series models install in tables 3⁄4" to 21⁄2" thick, using
the included 3" installation screws.

3. Installation
Figure 3-1 shows the Easy-AV Drop Boxes dimensions. Steps 1–5 on page 8 show to
install the boxes.

EASY-AV DROP BOXES
Follow the steps below and refer to Figures 3-2 and 3-3 to install the Easy-AV Drop
Boxes. The numbers 2–5 in Figure 3-3 correspond to the numbered steps below.
1. Using a standard hole saw, cut a 31⁄2" diameter hole in the table. See Figure
3-2.

2. Attach the bottom mounting plate to the bottom of the table, positioned
parallel to the table edge.
3. Drop the Easy-AV Drop Box assembly into the table hole. See Figure 3-3.
4. Install (2) long clamping screws through the mounting plate into the cover
rim. Tighten the long nuts to the mounting plate.
5. Wire tie the line cord and other wires as necessary.
