1. Features
1) RO+UV+UF/RO+UV/RO+UFtechnology
The Blue Star Aristo Water Purifier is available in RO+UV+UF / RO+UV / RO+UF variant to
provide you with safe and healthy purified water.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a water purification technique that uses a semi-permeable
membrane to remove ions, molecules, suspended particles, microbes and dissolved impurities from
drinking water. Tap water containing dissolved mineral salts and contaminants is passed
through the RO membrane under pressure to filter out contaminants and reduce the hardness
of the water.
Ultra Violet (UV) light safeguards against the microbiological impurities present in the water.
UV purification deactivates the protozoa, bacteria and viruses by damaging the genetic code,
ensuring they cannot reproduce further.
Ultra Filtration (UF) is a separation process that uses a semi-permeable membrane.
UFmembranefiltersoutphysicalimpuritiesaswellasharmfulmicrobeslikebacteriaandcysts
from drinking water.

3) Compactsize
This is a compact-sized water purifier and can be wall mounted, thus effectively utilising your
kitchen space.
4) Large StorageTank
The system has a storage tank of 7 litres, adequate for large family.
5) Indicators
There are 3 types of LED indicators : Purification On, Tank Full and Low Pressure Alert which
glow depending on the purification status.
6) AquaTasteBooster(ATB)
The system is equipped with specially designed copper impregnated carbon with anti-bacterial
properties and calcite media for maintaining optimum pH level of water, thus enriching your
experience of drinking water.
2. SafetyPrecautions
Note: These precautions are presented under two heads: ‘Danger’ and ‘Caution’.
2-1. Danger
(associated with the possibility of serious or even fatal injury)
Do not use damaged power cords or loose wall outlets.
Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
If the unit is damaged or malfunctioning, do not attempt repair on your
own.
Do not install the unit around largely damp areas, a place near flammable
materials, or a place exposed to rain or snow.
Do not tug at the power cord to disconnect from the mains. Use the
plug to pull it out when needed.
Do not clean the unit before unplugging the unit from the mains.
2-2. Caution
(associated with the possibility of injury, property damage and performance degradation)
After transport, do not supply power for at least 30 minutes.
This will allow the unit to stabilise.
Do not operate the unit in a sloped or unstable position. This
can cause reduced performance or system damage.

3. I n s t a l la t ion
3-1.Pre-installation requisites:
1. 230V single phase AC connection not more than 1.5 metres away from the point of
installation of purifier. The wire length supplied with the system is 1.5 metres.
2. Input water supply not more than 2 metres away.
3. Drain for rejected water not more than 2 metres away.
4. Countertop or wall hanging space as per dimensions of the purifier.
5. Input water pressure in the range of 4 to 30 psi.
3-2. DOs and DON’Ts
1. Donotinstall theunit atthe following places:
Near fire or heater
Near flammable material
In front of any cooling/heating device
A place exposed to rain and snow
A place exposed to direct sunlight
Wet place
Near chemicals (volatile material, organic solvent, etc.)
A place below 0°C or a place with the possibility of dropping below 0°C
A place above 40°C or a place with the possibility of rising above 40°C
2. Useinputwaterinthefollowingparameter range only:
Water pressure: 4 –30 psi
Water temperature: 5 –40°C
pH: 6.5 –8.5
When using water out of above range, discuss with Blue Star since performance may be
impacted.
3. When transporting the unit, do not tilt it over 45°.
4. During installation, adjust the level of the unit using a level gauge. Install the unit at a
place where the surface is flat.
5. When connecting the tube, ensure that it is not bent or pressed down by heavy objects.
6. Adjust the tubes so that drain water does not splash aroundthe area.
7. If the input water pressure is lower than 4 psi, an external booster pump needs to be
installed. If theinput water pressure is higher than 30psi, an external pressure reducing
valve needs to be installed. Blue Star’s or its authorised dealer’s service personnel will
install these at additional costs.

3-3. Installationprocedure
Blue Star’s or its authorised dealer’s service personnel will attend to the installation of the unit.
However, here is the installation procedure for the record:
1. Choose the installation site keeping in mind the pointers in the earlier section.
2. It is necessary to flush all filters by removing the tubing on the back of each filter and
clean the filter with the source water for about tenminutes.
3. To install the RO membrane, remove the membrane-housing cap anticlockwise.
Install the membrane by carefully pushing the spigot end into the socket at the far end of
the housing until completely in and close the membrane-housing cap.
4. Connectthe source water valve and the water inlet with a tube.
5. Connect another tube to the drain hole of theunit and then run the other end of the drain
tube into the drainage. Ensure that the drain tube is lower than the level of the installed
unit.
6. Mount your unit on the wall or place it on the floor.
7. Connect the power cord of the voltage rating that matches with that on the rating plate.
8. Confirm that water runs into the unit properly and that there are no leakages at any
connection.
9. Fill-up the tank and drain the pure water completely, twice. This flushes the membrane
and filters the tank for the first-time use.
The unit is now ready for use.
4. Operation
4-1. Indicators
Purification On: Glows blue when the purification process is ON.
Tank Full: Glows blue when the storage tank is completely
filled with purified water.
Low Pressure Alert: Glows red when the input water supply
pressure is lower than specified.

Dispensing purified water
Push the child lock button and then push the water dispensing lever with cup or drinkware
to dispense water.
Continuous dispensing
Push the child lock button and then lift up the water dispensing lever and fix it. The water
will be dispensed continuously.
Caution Note
Do not pull out the water dispensing lever severely to avoid damage or breakage.

4-3. DOs and DON’Ts
Keep the water filtration system away from direct sunlight. The sun’s heat may deform
non-metallic parts and damage the electronics. It may lead to discolouration or fading of
plastic parts.
Incase theunit isnotused for over 4days, shut off the source water valve andpull outthe
power plug and drain the stored water completely.
Periodical filter replacement is a prerequisite for getting pure water. Depending on usage
and poor input water quality the performance of filters deteriorates. Therefore, do not
forget to get the filters replaced by Blue Star’s or its authorised dealer’s service personnel.
Do not repair, disassemble or modify any part of filtration system on your own. Fire and/or
electric shock may occur as a result. For repair, call Blue Star’s or its authorised dealer’s
service personnel.
When shifting to another house, get the unit inspected and packed by Blue Star’s or its
authorised dealer’s service personnel. This will not only keep the unit safe while shifting
but is also necessary for continuation of warranty. The packing charges will be as per
prevailing rates.
5. C l e anin g
1. Shut off the source water valve.
2. Empty the water tank and pull out the power plug.
3. Detach the cover after loosening the fixed screw ontheback side of
the unit.
4. Detach the water tank cover.
5. Wipe the water tank with a clean soft cloth.
6. Re-assemble the unit.
7. Tighten the screws after inserting the cover properly.
8. Open source water valve and connect the power plug.
9. Drain the newly purified water completely once and then begin using it.
Notes while cleaning:
Wash your hands using sanitiser or put on sanitary gloves.
Clean the tank with soft cloth or dry cleaner.
Do not use chemicals or detergent.
Discard used cleaner, sanitary gloves, etc after cleaning.
Make sure that the tank cover is closed and filter is installed properly.
Do not pull or push the water dispensing lever with excessive force.

6. Filters
6-1. Filterfunctions
Stage 1: External Pre-Filter (Optional)
This acts as the first line of defense to remove visible suspended solids from tap water.
Stage 2: Pre-Carbon Filter
This carbon filter efficiently reduces chlorine and organic chemicals through an adsorption
process and protects the membrane.
Stage 3: Sediment Filter
This efficiently removes fine suspended particles.
Stage 4: RO Membrane
This removes dissolved solids and other impurities using a semi-permeable membrane
(0.0001μm pore size, 1/1,000,000 of hair) to ensure safe drinking water.
Stage 5: Post-Carbon Filter with ATB
This removes dissolved gases and odours to improve water taste. It is equipped with
specially designed Aqua Taste Booster which enhances the taste and helps maintain
optimum pH level of water, thus enriching your experience of drinking water.
Stage 6: UV Lamp* / UF Membrane#
Ultra Violet (UV) Lamp destroys microbes (bacteria, virus and protozoa) by UV exposure.
Ultra Filtration (UF) is a separation process that uses a semi-permeable membrane. UF
membrane filters out physical impurities as well as harmful microbes like bacteria and
cysts from drinking water.

11. Warranty
Thank you for buying a Blue Star Water Purifier.
It comes to you with a standard warranty of performance. Under this warranty, the purchaser is
entitled to the following:
1. Repair/replacement of any part of the Water Purifier found defective with in period of
12months fromthedateofpurchase(“WarrantyPeriod”) withafunctionallyeffectivepart,
againstoriginalinvoiceandWarrantyCardoftheproduct,subjecttofulfillmentofWarranty
Obligations by the Customer specified hereunder, and ifproved upon inspection by Blue
Star Limited or any of its authorised service dealers or service associates, to have been
defective due to faulty material or workmanship.
2. Consumable items like Pre-Filter, Carbon Filter, Sediment Filter, RO/UF Membrane, UV
Lamp are amongst others that are subject tonormal wear andtearare notcovered bythis
Warranty. Further, the plastic body is not covered under Warranty and hence, it must be
handled carefully to avoid breakage.
3. ThisWarrantyisvoid iftheunit isnot operated undernormal municipal water orwellwater
conditions of TDS less than 2000 ppm and iron less than 0.3 ppm.
4. The purchaser should preserve the original invoice and Warranty Card for necessary
verification and produce it at the time of availing warranty services. Please ensure
registration of your product warranty to ensure prompt service assistance.
5. TheWaterPurifierisdesignedtooperateatavoltagesupplyof230V/50Hzwithatolerable
variation of plus or minus 10%. Any failure dueto operation of the machine beyond these
limits will not be covered under warranty. If the voltage prevailing is beyond these limits,
the purchaser is advised to install a good quality voltage stabiliser.
6. Blue Star Limited shall not be liable or be deemed to be in default for any delay or failure
inperformance resulting directly orindirectly from causes beyond its reasonable control
including delay in repairing due to labour problem, restrictions,and regulations of the
government, public movement, war or any other unavoidable circumstances.
7. Anychanges inthelocation oftheunit orownership thereof must beintimated inwriting to
Blue Star Limited 10 days inadvance andonly authorised dealer/service associate shall
remove and install the units on chargeable basis.
8. Inthemodelsofferingcoldwater,incasethecompressoristobereplaced underwarranty,
BlueStarLimitedundertakes theresponsibility ofsupplyingthereplacementcompressor
free of cost during the standard Warranty Period.
9. BlueStarLimitedoranyofitsauthoriseddealers/servicefranchiseescannotbeheldliable
foranysickness orillness duetotheconsumption ofdrinking waterfromanywaterpurifier
supplied by the Company if maintenance and usage of the water purifier is not as per
prescribed standards.
10. The Company reserves the right to change or improve design and specifications at any
time, without any contingent obligations to prospective buyers or owners of the products
previously sold.
11. Under no circumstances, the liability of the Company or its authorised dealer/service
franchisee shall exceed the value of the product.
12. The customer will notify the Company properly about any defects noticed and give the
Company orits authorised dealer sufficient opportunity toinspect, test and remedythem,
for which the customer will deposit the goods, if necessary, with the company’s office/
service centre along with the original invoice, in the city where they are sold.
13. Inspection and test report of the Company’s office/service centre will be treated as final
and binding under the warranty for determining defects, repairs/alterations required or
carried out, or certifying working of the goodsthereafter.
14. TheCompanyoritsauthoriseddealerwillbeentitledtoretainanydefectiveparts replaced
under the warranty.

The warranty will be come null and void if:
1. The product is not operated according to instructions given in this user’s manual.
2. The product is not used for residential purpose.
3. The product issubjecttoconditions beyond input water temperature range of5°C to40°C
and input water pressure range of 4 to 30psi.
4. Installation/reinstallation/service/repairs of product is done by any person other than
Blue Star Limited’s authorised dealer/service associate.
5. Damage is caused to the product due to an abnormally corrosive alkaline/acidic
atmosphere.
6. In models offering cold water, any loss of refrigerant occurs due to accident, fire, flood,
earthquake, sabotage or improper handling.
7. The original serial number of the product or any part thereof is removed, obliterated or
altered.
8. Defects are caused because off actors beyond control ofBlue Star Limited, like lightning,
abnormal voltage, Acts ofGod, environmental conditions, negligence of thepurchaser in
using product.
9. In the models offering cold water, the failure of the compressor is due to lack of proper
maintenance of the product or if the product is repaired or attended by an unauthorised
person.The Company’s decision inthis regard will befinal andbinding onthepurchaser.
10. The failure of the compressor or any other part of the Water Purifier is due to usage of
inferior or faulty voltage stabiliser.
Note:
1. None of the employees and/or authorised dealers and/or service associates of the
Company have any authority whatsoever to change the terms and conditions of this
warranty.
2. This warranty should be deemed to have been issued at Mumbai, State of Maharashtra
andcourts atMumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction onmatters covered byorfollowing
from this warranty andtheoriginal purchaser alone shall have cause of action arising out
of the transaction.
3. Blue Star Limited strongly recommends that customers avail of Blue Star’s Annual
Maintenance Contract for the customer to get timely service and maintenance,

This product at its end of usable life should not be mixed with household domestic waste or
any general waste. It must be stored separately and disposed of through an authorised
recycler of electrical and electronic appliance waste since it is categorised under Schedule I of
E-Waste Management Rules promulgated by the Government of India.
As guided by these rules, this product needs to be disposed of after its useful life in a scientific
and prescribed manner. As a responsible citizen of India, we request your cooperation in
