Rapid-Dry Bath Belt, One-Piece
INSTALLATION AND USER’S INSTRUCTIONS
ART NOS. BB111 & BB112
WARNING! Because of the risk of choking, it is
dangerous to use a chest belt without stabilizing
the pelvis– always use with a properly tted knee
or thigh belt.
Optional Bodypoint belt mounting hardware may
be used for mounting to wheelchairs and seating
systems.
INTENDED USE:
WARNING! This product should only be used
for positioning a person in a shower/commode
chair. It is NOT intended for use as a transporta-
tion safety device, as a personal restraint device,
or in any other application where its failure could
result in injury. Misuse of this product is unautho-
rized and unsafe.
WARNING! This positioning belt must be
properly tted to support the user’s body without
causing injury. Have your seating specialist
demonstrate its proper adjustment and use.
• If it is too tight across the shoulders and chest, it
can restrict respiration and increase pressure.
• If it is too loose, it can allow the user to slip
down and may create a risk of strangulation.
• Accidental release of this product can allow the
user to fall forward or fall from the shower/com-
mode chair.
• A user’s inability to self-release can be hazardous
if the user slips down or is trapped in the show-
er/commode chair in an emergency.
If the user’s physical or cognitive abilities could
prevent them from safely operating this product,
a caregiver must be present at all times during
its use. Ensure that all caregivers know how to
correctly adjust and unfasten the product.
WARNING! If a serious incident occurs related
to the use of this product, it should be reported to
the manufacturer (Bodypoint, Inc.) and the local
Competent Authority.
PERIODIC SAFETY AND PERFORMANCE
CHECKS: To ensure user safety, this product must
be checked periodically for function and signs of
wear. If the product does not function correctly
or if signicant wear is found in the buckles,
mounting points, webbing, padding, or stitches,
stop using it and contact your supplier for qualied
repair or replacement by Bodypoint. Under no
circumstance should this product be altered or
repaired by unqualied persons — health and
safety depend on it!
REGULAR CLEANING: Machine
wash, hot, 60°C (140°F) using laundry detergent.
Tumble dry, or drip dry. Do not iron.
SCRAP/DISPOSAL: Product is made of materials
which can be disposed of safely without special
precautions at the end of its useful life.
WARRANTY: This product carries a limited-lifetime
warranty against defects in workmanship and
materials arising under normal use by the original
consumer. Contact your supplier or Bodypoint for
warranty claims.
These instructions provide important information for the safe use and maintenance of
all one-piece Bodypoint Aeromesh® Rapid-Dry Bath Belts. Give these instructions to
the user or their caregiver and review them to ensure that they are understood.

POSITIONING
Seat user in shower/commode chair and establish
correct posture. Determine desired position for the
belt. When choosing position, consider interference
with other devices. To reduce the risk of strangula-
tion and trunk instability, the belt should be neither
too high nor too low.

CTilting Chairs
Belt must be mounted to the upper frame,
above the pivot point. Mounting the belt
below the pivot point can cause interfer-
ence or affect belt tension.

INSTALLATION
Direct Screw Mounting
If mounting directly to chair frame or solid
seats/backs, use 6mm (1/4-20) Flat head or
Button head screws. Mounting screws must
have a minimum pullout strength of 90kg
(200lbs). Not included in package.
MOUNTING SUGGESTIONS
AAt Chest, At Knees (Preferred)
Taking into account the user’s needs, nd a
suitable mounting location on the wheelchair
that allows the belt to be mounted at one of the
preferred positions shown.
With Frame Clamps or Band Clamps
Attach clamps to shower/commode chair
in desired locations and tighten in place.
Insert second screw through grommet on
belt and into the clamp. Tighten securely.

Mounting with Slide
Adjuster
ADJUSTMENT
With the user correctly seated,
check the t of the belt – it should
be snug so the user is secure. Small
adjustments in t are done using
the D-ring tightening straps. Large
adjustments in t are done using the
mounting straps.
SAFETY CHECK
When properly positioned in chair,
have user lean forward and side-to-
side to check t. Check for:
1. Normal operation of buckle and
adjustment straps.
2. Comfort - Look for areas of
irritation.
3. Position - If too high or too low,
adjust mounting points.
4. Interference with other devices–
Relocate mounting points as
necessary.
5. Move chair through full range of
motion, including tilt, folding, and
rolling. Check for any interference.
