Important safety information
• Do not attempt to modify the product In any way.
• Service regularly according to the Maintenance Schedule.
• Only use replacement parts supplied by the manufacturer.
• Only use fresh, clean and good quality fuel in the engine.
• Never operate the engine without oil.
• Never refuel in close proximity to naked ames, sparks or other sources of ignition e.g. cigarettes.
• Do not refuel when the engine it hot or engine is running.
• Wipe up and correctly dispose of any fuel spillage immediately within public guidelines.
• Move away from the refuelling areas before restarting the engine. Store fuel for short periods only in a
suitable container away from heat and direct sunlight.
• Clean the generator thoroughly after each use.
• Regularly check external nuts and xings to ensure vibration caused by normal use has not loosened
them. Remove the spark plug ignition lead (HT Lead) from the back of the spark plug and position the
lead to avoid accidental reconnection.
• Store the machine in a secure dry location out of reach of children.
• Empty the fuel lank before storage.
• Do not use indoors.
• Do not connect to your home electrical circuit.

The following steps describe the quickest method to get your generator up and running, however
it is essential you fully read the manual to ensure you are familiar with the general safety features,
precautions and functions necessary to operate your generator, failure to do so may result in injury,
damage to your generator or personal items.

Before use, you must ensure the oil is topped up to the upper limit or the
generator’s safety mechanisms will not allow the engine to start.

Before Starting
Add fuel:
1. Place generator on a level surface
2. Open the ller cap
3. Fill with unleaded petrol up to the lter
4. Replace ller cap
Add oil:
Note: the generator will automatically shut down if insufcient oil is detected.
1. Place generator on a level surface
2. Open the oil ller bung
3. Fill with 10W-40 semi-synthetic oil up to the threads
4. Replace oil ller bung
Remove the two bolts
holding the side panel in
place.
Unscrew the oil ller bung
and top up using the
supplied funnel.
Ensure the oil is topped up to
the upper level.

Starting
Stopping
1. Set the Economy switch to off
2. Open the fuel cap air vent to the ‘ON’ position
3. Turn the fuel dial to ‘ON’
4. Set the engine switch to ‘ON’
5. Fully pull out the choke lever
Note: Choke is not required to start a warm engine
6. Pull recoil start handle to start the engine
Note: Grasp the carrying handle rmly to prevent the generator from falling over when
pulling the recoil starter.
1. Turn off any electrical devices
2. Turn the economy switch to ‘OFF’
3. Disconnect any electrical devices
4. Turn the engine switch to ‘OFF’
5. Turn the fuel dial to ‘OFF’
6. Turn the fuel cap air vent to the ‘OFF’ position

Battery charging
1. Set the Economy switch to off
2. Turn the fuel dial to ‘ON’
3. Fully pull out the choke lever (choke is not required to start a warm engine)
4. Turn the key to the right in the key ignition barrel to the ‘START’ position.
1. Turn off any electrical devices
2. Turn the economy switch to ‘OFF’
3. Disconnect any electrical devices
4. Turn the key in the ignition barrel to the ‘OFF’ position
5. Turn the fuel dial to ‘OFF’
1. The battery for electric start is located behind the left panel and will
require charging when low. To access, remove the 6 bolts holding the
side panel in place.
2. Disconnect the battery and remove from the generator.
3. With the supplied charging cable, plug in to the DC terminal on the
front panel. Attach the black wire to the negative terminal on the
battery, red to positive.
4. Follow the start up procedure.

Checks and maintenance

1. Use the fuel gauge on the top of the generator to check fuel level
2. If low, top up using regular unleaded gasoline
3. Fill to the base of the lter
4. Replace fuel tank cap
Note: If checking after use, allow the unit to cool sufciently before opening fuel cap.
1. Remove spark plug cap and unscrew the spark
plug using the tool.
2. Carefully clean any carbon build-up on the tip.
3. Check the gap using a gauge. The gap should
be between
0.7-0.8mm
.
4. Adjust as necessary then reinstall the plug and
cap taking care not to cross-thread the spark
plug.

Air lter
Oil change
The air lter is installed on the intake system of the engine. It allows clean air to ow into the engine to
provide the correct air/fuel mixture.
To check/clean
1. Open generator side panel
2. Check air lter to ensure it is free of dirt build-up
3. If dirty, remove lter and clean with a solvent cleaning solution
4. Squeeze to remove water and allow to dry
5. Add a few drops of oil
6. Squeeze tight to distribute oil and remove any excess
7. Install air lter and cover
1. Access oil ller as per Quick start guide
2. Undo the oil bung
3. There is a lip to the the spout above an opening
in the chassis.
4. Tip the unit forward to allow oil to drain through
the opening.
5. Add new 10W-40 semi synthetic oil to the
upper limit of oil cap
6. Install oil bung
