Front panel controls
POWER Press any button to turn unit ON. To turn
head unit off, press and hold POWER.
GENERAL CONTROLS
OPEN Press to flip down the front panel.
DSP When this key is pressed, it is operated as the conversion of each
display mode as follow.
1) In case of receiving RDS station.
RADIO MODE

2) In case of receiving NON RDS station

Each display time is several seconds, and come back to 1’st position after
several seconds.
Notes: • CT = clock time • FREQ = frequency • CDP = CD player
The Liquid Crystal Display will display the current state of the unit.
BEEP MODE When press the AUDIO button for more than 2
seconds, it is activated as selecting mode of these function.
BEEP ON: BEEP sound can hear from speaker when the but-
tons are pressed.

STATION PRESETS Six numbered preset button store and recall stations
for each band.
Storing a station:
1. Select a band (if needed)
2. Select a station
3. Hold a preset button longer than one second. Preset station number
appears in the display when station is saved.
Recall a station:
1. Select band (if needed)
2. Press a preset button for less than one second to select stored station.
RADIO CONTROLS
TUNE BUTTONS When pressed for less than 1 second, these keys operate as
manual tuning mode.
When pressed longer than 1 sec., they are operated as SEEK tuning mode.
If the keys are not pressed for 3 seconds, they will return to SEEK mode again.
AS/PS Select six strong stations and store them in current band.
1. Select a band (if needed)
2. Hold A/PS button for more than three seconds. The new stations
replace stations already stored in that band.
Preset Scan
Scan stations stored in current band
1. Select a band (if needed)
2. Touch A/PS for more than one second but less than three seconds.
Radio pauses for five seconds at each station. Touch A/PS again to stop
scanning when desired station is reached.
BAND Push this switch to select the desired band. Selection is made in
regular sequence as FM1-FM2-FM3.
SETTINGS MODE When press AUDIO for more than 2 seconds, it is activated as selecting
mode of these function.
SEEK 1: When SEEK 1 mode is activated, AUTO SEEK SCAN is stopped when station is
detected even user still push SEEK button.
SEEK 2: Auto SEEK SCAN is not stopped even station is detected if user push SEEK
button. When release this SEEK button, then stop when station is detected.
STEREO/MONO MODE When press AUDIO button for more than 2 seconds, it is activated
as selecting mode of these function.
When FM stations are weak and are disturbed, listening can be improved by selecting MONO.
LOCAL/DX MODE When press AUDIO button for more than 2 seconds, it is activated as
selecting mode of these function.
“Local” position in areas with strong signals to let radio stop at only strong stations
during manual tuning (LOC appears). Press to Distant position in areas with weak signals
to listen to all stations.

Front panel controls
AUDIO BUTTON and ROTARY CONTROL Press the button repeatedly to
access Volume, Bass, Treble, Balance and Fader functions. Then use the
knob to adjust the selected function.
LOUD MODE When press AUDIO button for more than 2 seconds, it is
activated as selecting mode of these function.
LOUD ON/OFF mode is selected by rotary VOL left or right. Increase the level
of bass output.
AUDIO CONTROLS
EQ Press repeatedly to cycle through five modes: POP M, ROCK M,
CLASS, FLAT M or DSP OFF.
SUB Press and hold to engage subwoofer output.
SOURCE By pressing this key, user can select AUX/TUNER/CD-
MP3/USB mode.
RDS CONTROLS
The RDS (Radio Data System) is a digital information system developed by the EBU (European
Broadcast Union). Piggy-backed on normal FM broadcasts, RDS offers a variety of information
services and automatic retuning functions for RDS-compatible car stereos.
In 1988, RDS became available in the United Kingdom, France, West Germany, Ireland and Sweden.
Test transmissions are being conducted in many other european countries. It is expected that RDS
will be available in most western european countries in the near future.

AF When pressed short, AF/REG switching mode is selected.
When AF/REG switching mode is selected, the radio checks the signal strength of the AF all the
time. When pressed long, it is activated as regional mode ON/OFF.
– Regional mode ON:
AF switching or PI SEEK is implemented to the station which have all PI codes same as current
station. REG segment is turned on, in LCD display.
– Regional mode OFF:
The regional code in the format of PI code is ignored when AF switching or PI SEEK is implemented.
PTY While selecting PTY type, its selection is implemented by preset buttons as described in
preset key. When PTY is selected, the radio starts to search corresponding PTY information, and
stops if the corresponding PTY information is detected.
When PTY mode is selected, the PTY switch is shared as follows:
PTY music group ---- PTY speech group ---- OFF

TA When pressed short, it is activated as TA mode on or off
When TA mode is on and traffic announcement is transmitted
– When the unit is it CD/MP3 mode, it will switch to radiomode temporarily.
– If the volume level was under the threshold point, it will be raised to the threshold point.
– When TP station is received, TP segment is turned on in LCD display.
TA SEEK/TA ALARM MODE When press AUDIO button for more than 2 seconds, it is activated
as selecting mode of these function.
TA SEEK Mode or TA ALARM mode is selected by rotary VOL left or right.
- TA SEEK mode:
When newly turned station does not receive TP information for 5 sec., the radio retunes to next
station which has not the same station (PI) as the last station, but has the TP information.
In TA seek mode, the current station can be changed to the completely different station because
the unit searches TP station when the field strength of the current station is very weak, or the
current station has no TP signal.
- TA ALARM mode:
Any automatic retune mode is not activated, just can hear Beep sound.
MASK DPI MODE When press AUDIO button for more than 2 seconds, it is activated as selecting
mode of these function.
MASK DPI: masked only the AF which has different PI.
MASK ALL: masked the AF which has different PI and NO RDS signal with field strength.
RETUNE L / S MODE When press AUDIO button for more than 2 seconds, it is activated as
selecting Retune mode.
RETUNE L: Select 90 seconds as the initial time of automatic TA search.
RETUNE S: Select 30 seconds as initial time.

CD MULTI ON/OFF
TUNE/TRACK BUTTONS Press and release
to advance to next track or to return to
the beginning of the current track (track
number will be displayed). Press and hold
to fast forward or reverse. Play will begin
at the point when you release the button.
CD/MP3 PLAYBACK CONTROLS
PAUSE Press to pause CD playback. Press
again to resume playback
EJECT Press to eject CD
SHUFFLE Press to play ALL tracks
on the CD in random order.
REPEAT Press and release to con-
tinuously repeat same track. Press
again to stop repeat cycle.
CD SCAN Press to hear first several
seconds of each track on current disc.
Press again to stop intro and listen to
intro last previewed.
CD/MP3 Operation
To PLAY a CD gently insert a CD with the label side up into the disc slot. It will automatically
load and begin playing the first track.
To EJECT a CD press EJECT to stop the CD playback and eject the CD from the slot. The receiver
will automaticvally switch to radio mode.
To PAUSE a CD press PAUSE to stop playback temporarily. Press again to resume playback.
To SKIP TRACKS press the or key to choose the next or preceding track.
To FAST FORWARD or REVERSE press and hold the or key to the desired location
on the disc. Releasing the button starts playback at the location.
To REPEAT a TRACK press REPEAT to continuously repeat the current track. Press again to
return to normal playback mode.
To PREVIEW ALL TRACKS press CD SCAN to play the first several seconds of each track. Press
it again to stop an play the current track being previewed.
To PLAY TRACKS IN RANDOM ORDER press SHUF to play ALL tracks on the CD in random
mode. Press again to cancel this function.

ESP MODE When press AUDIO button for
more than 2 seconds, it is activated as
12 sec. or 45 sec. of ESP mode can be

How to select MP3 files
Searching Track:
• Press “AS/PS”, then search track is activated.
• Press “AUDIO” button, then the first digit will flash.
• Rotary “VOL knob to right or left”, select first digit desired.
• Press “AUDIO” button, then the first digit is fixed and second digit will flash.
• Rotary “VOL knob to right or left”, select 2’nd 3’rd respectively.
• Then automatically the song selected will start.
Searching File Name:
• Press “AS/PS” twice, then file search is activated.
• Press “AUDIO” button, then the first directory is displayed.
• Rotary “VOL knob to right or left”, you can select the desired directory.
• Press “AUDIO” button again, then the directory is fixed and the first file name is displayed.
• Rotary “VOL knob to right or left”, you can select the file you want.
• Press “AUDIO” button, then the song selected will start.
Searching Character:
• Press “AS/PS” 3 times, then character search mode is activated.
• Press “AUDIO” button, then “A” character is displayed.
• Rotary “VOL knob to right or left”, you can select the desired letter.
• Press “AUDIO” button longer than 2 sec.
• The song with the same character you selected is displayed.
• Rotary “VOL knob to right or left”, you can select the desired song.
• Press “AUDIO” button, then the song selected will start.
RESET
AUX IN
CD Loading/unloading slot
LED This LED flashes when the faceplate is
removed.
RESET Press this button with a ballpoint pen or other thin object.
The reset button is to be activated for the following reason:
Initial installation of the unit when all wiring is completed.
All the function button do not operate.
Error symbol on the display.
NOTE: If the unit does not function properly after you have
pressed the RESET button, clean the socket and the connec-
tor on the rear of the front panel with a cotton swab soaked
in isopropyl alcohol and try again.

USB Port
Enhanced control of connected Portable Media such as Flash
Drives and digital MP3 Players, by using function keys on the
main unit or the remote control unit.
This unit features the latest ID3 Tag support, which allows you
to see the song’s name and which folder it’s located in, on the
LCD display.
AUX IN
Convenient easy to use front “AUX IN” input jack, allows easy
connection of Portable Media and other digital MP3 Players.
CD MULTI SECTION MODE When press AUDIO button for more than 2
seconds, it is activated as selecting mode of these function.
CD MULTI ON/OFF mode is selected by rotary VOL left or right
CD MULTI ON: Read multi section CD.
CD MULTI OFF: Read first section only.

Remote controls functions
POWER Use to turn the CD receiver ON or OFF
SEL Turning the VOL knob Right or Left, you can adjust
VOL/BASS/TREB/BAL/FAD. To select other functions, press the SEL
button shortly until the desired functions is shown on the display.
VOLUME Use to increase or decrease volume level.
SOURCE Press to choose desired audio source
(Radio, CD or Aux in).
TUNE/SEEK and
In Radio mode, press shortly to make
manual tuning,
press and hold to engage automatic
seek function.
In CD mode, press and release to
advance to next
track or to return to the beginning of
the current track
(track number will be displayed).

place six strong stations into memory.

listen to track.
REPEAT Press and release to continuously repeat same track).

BAND Press this button to select the desired band. Selection is
made in regular sequence as FM1-FM2-FM3.
DISP When this key is pressed, it is
operated as the conversion of each
display mode as follow.
1) In case of receiving RDS station.

CD/MP3 PLAYER MODE
CDP ---- CT ---- PS ---- FREQ ---- PTY
2) In case of receiving NON RDS station
