Functional test for 7000
units with ASC

Tank Function Test
X35 version 4.02.511
The following pages will outline the steps necessary to complete a
comprehensive functional test on a 7000 series tank with ASC
Please refer to the Bourgault X35 operators manual for version
4.02.511 for detailed descriptions and procedures when required.
You may also wish to view the Bourgault video located in the
Bourgault YouTube channel.

Before starting the functional test you should fill out this form

Your first step will be to ensure the in cab
connections are correct. The best instructions
are in section 11 of the X35 operators manual.

The next step will be to enter the setup menu.
Press the wrench icon located in the lower left
corner of the operating screen.

Go to User/Region/Units and make
sure the units are as indicated above

If tank is equipped with scales you go to
System/Features/Console and Enable the
UNIVERSAL TERMINAL

Also in System/Features/Console make
sure the XTEND is Enabled

Go to
System/Features/Implement and
Enable AUTO SECTION CONTROL
to allow guidance to control and if
it equipped with scales Enable
WEIGH SCALES. This is also where
you enable VARIABLE RATE
CONTROL if using it.

Go System/Features/XTEND
see section 13 of the X35
operators manual for
instructions on set up and
operation of the XTEND app.

Go to System/Features/Quick Start and
Enable the Export Job Report for previous job
and Change Field. Set up the ACTION for the
Field to Create Field for the function test.

Go to System/Features/Quick Start and
enable Change Job then set the ACTION
for the Change Job to Create Job and for
the function test then select Prompt for
the SET JOB NAME

Go to System/GPS/Receiver and set GPS
RECEIVER to NMEA Source, the BAUD RATE
must match what the tractor is outputting.
See the customer service centre section of
the Bourgault web site for set up
instructions. (A.-First Time Setup / A.6-GPS)

Go to Vehicle/ Select and if there
is not a tractor selected go to New
and select a similar tractor.

Go to Vehicle / Geometry. It is important
to check all of the dimensions so the
location of the receiver is relevant to the
location of the drill.

Go to Implement/New/Factory and start
the process of creating a new Implement
Template profile. For our example we
will be selecting a unit with Dual
Granular ASC Boom and NH3

After selecting one of the 4 options
above press the check mark.

Press the check mark to advance.

Select your tank model from the list and
press the check mark to advance.
*note, the models with an X are for
Australia use only!

Very carefully select how your unit is
configured from the list. You MUST
know how many metering augers you
have, if it is a 4 tank metering system
you must know if there is an auger on
the 3rd tank or the 5th tank if it has a
saddle tank, you must know if it is set
up for section control (SCN) and if it is
going to be set up with a NH3 or Liquid
tank. Then select the check mark.
