Jelly Mini Boy - Digital Airmix Edition 12.08
3.2 Functional description
The compressed-air supported Jelly Mini Boy
Airmix is a closed compressed air system for low-fog
spraying of heated fat glazes, aspic, butter and
special types of jelly.
The Jelly Mini Boy consists of:
the pressurised storage tank (1) the so-called
agent boiler,
the dry running heater,
the compressed-air supported spraying system
Airmix, consisting of the red agent-hose and the
blue compressed air-hose (2 and 3) with the spray
gun (4),
the heat box (5) for the spray gun.
An external compressed air source creates an agent
pressure up to maximum 5 bar in the agent boiler (1).
The agent pressure is steplessly set between 0 and
5 bar with the turning knob (11) of the agent pressure
setting device inside the implement housing.
By the factory the agent pressure has been set to 4
bar.
The agent pressure presses the agent to be
processed from the agent boiler into the dry running
heater. The agent is heated in the dry running heater
to the set processing temperature.
From the dry running heater, the heat, sprayable
agent reaches the spray gun (4) via the heated red
agent-hose (2). The heating temperature for the
agent-hose is adjustable between 0.0 and 85.0°C.
The agent in the storage tank (1) is
being kept on a constant processing
temperature.
The processing temperature can be set via UP- and
DOWN-keys (5 and 6) between 25.0 and 88.0°C.
The temperature display (8) shows the actual
system-temperature in Degree Celsius.
By the factory the processing temperature has been
set to 82°C.
The Jelly Mini Boy is ready for operation when the
yellow (9) and the red signal lamp (10) goes out.

Description of the implement 9
Jelly Mini Boy - Digital Airmix Edition 12.08
Hold the spray gun at a distance of approx. 10 cm
above the product to be sprayed and pull the trigger
lever (1).
Depending on the size of the product to be sprayed,
the spray gun can be adjusted for rotary, flat or wide
spraying by means of the adjusting screw (2). The
spray pattern produced here depends on the preset
spraying pressure.
So that a symmetrical spray pattern arises, you must
individually adapt the spray pattern to agent to be
processed.
The spraying pressure is adjusted via the adjusting
screw (1). The spraying pressure may be set
between 0.5 bar and 4 bar.
The engagement depth of the agent quantity
adjusting screw (1) determines the amount of agent
sprayed by the spray gun.

10 Description of the implement
Jelly Mini Boy - Digital Airmix Edition 12.08
The heat box (1) for the spray gun keep warm the
spray gun which is replaced in the spray gun retainer.
In case of work interruptions this way prevents that
the agent will be congeal in the spray gun and clog
the agent channel.
3.3 Identification of the machine
You will find the type plate (1) on the back of the
implement. The CE mark is on the foil on the front o

12 Description of the implement
Jelly Mini Boy - Digital Airmix Edition 12.08
3.6 General requirements on the
compressed-air source
The compressed-air source must meet the following
features:
Service pressure: 6 bar
Compressed air
output: 150 litres per minute
Compressed air
quality: free from oil and food safe
It is imperative that you use only clean,
dry and food safe compressed air to
operate the implement. Oil lubricated
compressors, possibly with pressure
vessel with uncoated inside,
contaminate the compressed air and
consequently the agent to be sprayed.
If no filter unit (maintenance unit) to
clean the compressed air and also no ai
r
dryer is available behind the
compressor, oil and rust particles get
into the stainless steel pressure vessel
and clog the spray gun's agent nozzle.
If your present compressed-air source
does not meet the above requirements,
we recommend you use our three-stage
special filter unit.
The three-stage special filter unit consists of:
1. 1 x DV 1000. Prefilter with filter element and
automatic condensate discharge with float valve
and differential pressure manometer.
2. 1 x DF 1000. Superfine filter with filter element
and automatic condensate discharge with float
valve and differential pressure manometer. Fo
r
higher quality compressed air for pneumatic
control systems.
3. 1 x DA 1000. Activated-carbon filter with filte
r
element, stopper and closing plate. For highest
quality compressed air as inhaled air, e.g. in
luxury food processing.
4. 2 x Filter housing threaded joint. Fo
r
connection of filter units.
5. 1 x Assembly kit. For wall fastening of filter units.

4. Putting into operation
The implement is exclusively suited fo
r
operation with alternating current (230 V
/ 50 Hz). Never try to use other sources
of current. Ensure that the voltage of the
implement and your supply voltage are
the same.
Any work on the electric supply may
only be carried out by a skilled
electrician. Check the electric equipment
of your implement at regular intervals.
Immediately remove loose connections
and scorched cables.
- Check whether the electric circuit is protected by
fuse with 16 Ampere.

4.2 The agent hose
The agent hose is a special hose for heating and
consists of the following components:
Silicone for the fruit acid containing product.
Silicone textile casing for stability.
Resistance wires for heating.
Protect the agent hose against damage
by sharp-edged parts. Danger of injury
from penetrating jelly.
In case of damage always exchange the
entire agent hose.
The agent hose may never be
shortened,
patched
or manipulated.
Changes on the agent hose will cause a
total failure of function.
4.3 Recommendations for processing
fat glazes containing chocolate
Rinse the implement with heated edible
oil or parting agent before you process
fat glazes containing chocolate. This
measure prevents the fat glaze
containing chocolate from undergoing a
chemical reaction with the wate
r
residues from cleaning. Such chemical
reactions can clog the implement's
agent channel.
- Fill 3 litres of edible oil or parting agent into the
storage tank.
- Set the spraying pressure to 0 bar.
