Before use
Please read the user instructions carefully and
completely before using the appliance and retain
for future reference. Remove all packaging and
labels and dispose them appropriately.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock and or injury to
persons, including the following:
•The appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instructions concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
•This appliance can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and if they understand the
hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children unless they are
older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance
and its cord out of reach of children aged less
than 8 years.
•Children shall not play with the appliance
•This appliance is intended to be used in
household and similar applications such as:
– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other
working environments;
– farm houses;
– by clients in hotels, motels and other
residential type environments;
– bed and breakfast type environments.
•Warning: There is potential injury from misuse.
•The heating element surface is subject to residual
heat after use.
•If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
•The power outlet must be properly grounded
3 pin plug, the outlet current should be greater
than 10A. This plug will fit in power outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
please contact a qualified electrician. Do not
modify the plug in any way.
•Make sure the power outlet has sufficient voltage
capacity as to avoid short circuit. Also make
sure the voltage of the power supply match the
appliance’s specification.
•For first use or use again after a long keep of
the appliance, you must first dispense room
temperature water before using.
•Always unplug appliance from outlet when not
in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning
the appliance.
•The use of attachments/accessories not sold or
recommended by Braun may cause fire, electrical
shock or risk of injuries to persons.
•This appliance must be installed in a dry cool
place, avoid direct sunlight and flammable
materials. Do not place foam, cardboard or
similar materials underneath the appliance, this
is to avoid electric leakage as a result of water
accumulation. This appliance is not suitable for
outdoor use or water splashing area.
•Do not squeeze, temper or collide the appliance
during its transportation, installation or operation.
This is to avoid appliance damage.
•Regularly inspect the power cord, power plug and
actual appliance for any damage. Do not operate
if damaged in any way or after the appliance
malfunctions. Immediately cease use of the
appliance and call Braun Customer Service for
examination, repair or adjustment.
•Hold on to the 3 pin plug instead of the power cord
to unplug. Do not extend the power cord to avoid
fire hazard.
•Dry boil is strictly prohibited.
•Do not pull the power cord when moving this
product. Do not coil the power cord around the
product during operation.
•Do not touch the water outlet as to avoid burn/
scald injury.
•Do not immerse the power cord or appliance into
any liquid.
•Do not add water or move the water tank while in
operation.
•Do not place or use the product on heating
surface or in high temperature area.
•Do not place the product on other electrical
products, near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a
heated oven.
•Do not fold and damage the power cord. Keep the
power cord plug dry.
•Do not clean machine with abrasive cleansers,
steel wool pads, or other abrasive materials.
•Do not remove the base panel. No user
serviceable parts are inside. Repair should be
done by authorized service personnel only.
•Always fill water tank first, then plug cord into the
wall outlet. To disconnect, press the «On/Off»
button, then remove plug from wall outlet.
•If water is not draining from the outlet during the
dispensing, check the FQA on instruction or call
Braun Customer Service.
Before first Use
Clean all parts before using the dispenser for the
first time – refer to «Care and Cleaning».
Before using the water dispenser for the first time,
fill it to the maximum level with fresh water, heat
it up to maximum temperature and then pour the
water away. Repeat this procedure 2-3 times.
