Bravura Elite Series Keyed Entry Quick-Install Instructions
1) DO NOT USE THE TEMPLATE IF YOU PRINT THIS PAGE. Use this for reference only.
2) djust latch backset to fit your door, 2 3/8” or
2 3/4” (figure 1). Insert latch mechanism into door. Use
either the square or ¼” radius latch-face (provided),
depending on
the mortise in
your door.

3) Insert the exterior half (with cylinder) of the lockset into the
door (figure 3). MAKE CERTAIN THAT THE ROSETTE IS
SCREWED AS FAR AS POSSIBLE AWAY FROM THE
LEVER/KNOB, AND THAT THE LEVER/KNOB ROTATES
SMOOTHLY IN BOTH DIRECTIONS.
4) Loosen the set-screws on
the knob/lever on the interior
half of the lockset (figure 4a) and
remove knob/lever (keep in
box/bag to prevent damage).
Unscrew rosette by
turning counter-clockwise (figure
4b), and place in box. You will now
have the interior lock-body.

INSTRUCTIONS
FOR
INSTALLATION
ON
NEW WOOD DOORS
1 Cut out the template and fold it along
the dotted line. Place the folded template
against the edge of the door so that the
mark (#2) is approximately 38 above the
floor. Mark the center of the door edge
using the correct location for your door
thickness. (NOTE: deadbolt should be
5.5 above door lock.)
2 Still holding the template in place,
mark the center of the door face hold
(#3). This mark must measure exactly 2-
3/8 or 2-3/4 from the edge of the door.
(NOTE: many exterior doors are 2-3/4
backset and may not match other doors
on project.)
3 Drill a 2-1/8 diameter hole through
the door face centered on the mark. Drill
halfway through the door from each side
to prevent splitting.
4 Drill a 1 diameter hole in the center
of the door edge as marked.
5 Install lock set by following the
Bravura Quick-Install Instructions.

5) Locate the notch on the bottom of the interior lock body (figure 5a). MAKE CERTAIN THIS
NOTCH IS FACING DOWN
DURING INSTALLATION.
Install the interior lock-body
onto the door while holding the
exterior half of the lockset
(figure 5b). If interior lock-body
does not slide-on easily, rotate
the privacy button 90 degrees
and try again (button should be
either horizontal or vertical).
CAUTION: DO NOT FORCE THE LOCK-BODY ONTO THE DOOR!!
Insert two 1 ¼” long machine screws (supplied) into the interior lock-
body (figure 5c) and tighten (loosely). Before you fully-tighten these
screws, make certain they are at exactly 12:00 and 6:00, and the lock-
body is not binding on the latch mechanism. Check for proper lock
function by turning the outside knob/lever and privacy button. With the
button horizontal, the exterior lever/knob should turn. With the button
vertical, the exterior lever/knob should be locked. Perform the same
test with the key.
6) Re-install the interior rosette by turning clockwise (figure 6a).
Tighten as snugly as possible by
hand. DO NOT USE ANY
TOOLS TO TIGHTEN THE
ROSETTE, AS THIS WILL
CAUSE DAMAGE TO ITS
FINISH. Slide the interior
knob/lever onto the lock-body,
and tighten the two hex screws
(figure 6b). Check for proper
lock function by turning the inside and outside knob/lever, and privacy button.
7) Mortise door jamb for strike-plate (provided), and mount using the included wood screws.
