OPUS –INSTRUCTION SHEET
THE RANGE
The stainless steel series OPUS insect killer are
the best solution for the destruction and
control of flying insects. The neutralization of
insects is by trapping on glueboards or by high
tension electric grid. OPUS can be suspended
from the ceiling or wall mounted.

OPUS MUST ONLY BE USED IN AREAS WHICH ARE
FREE OF DUST AND POSSIBLE EXPLOSIVE
VAPOUR MIXTURE. SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY
QUERIES CONTACT YOUR LOCAL FIRE
AUTHORITY FOR ADVICE BEFORE INS-
TALLATION.
OPUS IS ONLY SUITABLE FOR INDOOR USE AND
IS NOT SUITABLE FOR USE IN BARNS, STABLES
and SIMILAR LOCATIONS.
INSTALLATION
OPUS unit requires certain conditions to ensure
the effective control of flying insects in your
premises:
1–It must be correctly sited
2–It must be the correct model for the area to
be protected
3- It must be in operation for 24 hours a day.
POWER REQUIREMENTS
OPUS units are designed to operate from the
following power supply : 220V / 50Hz
Therefore, please ensure that your unit is
compatible with the electricity supply in your
premises.
DANGER : this product is subjected to a high
voltage
IMPORTANT
This fly killer is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience of knowledge, unless they
have been given by a person responsible for
their safety, monitoring or instruction
concerning use of the appliance (A2/EN
68335-1). It should supervise children to
ensure they don’t play with the fly killer.
POSITIONING
OPUS unit should ideally be fixed at least two
meters above the ground, pre-ferably in the
darkest place within the area to be protected,
away from windows and skylights, thus avoiding
any competition with natural daylight or
sunlight.
In large open areas where two or more units
are required, siting needs careful consideration
to ensure maximum protection. Each unit
within a certain area should be centrally
positioned.
The wall mounting is carried out by means of
suitable equipments (bolts, screws, etc…) to
the weight of the unit. The suspension makes
edding using chains (not includes).
SERVICING
BEFORE ANY FORM OF SERVICING, ENSURE
THAT THE UNIT IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE
MAINS SUPPLY.
To maintain the units efficiency, replace the
UV fluorescent bulbs every 12 months. For glue
versions, glueboards must be replaced every
two months.
IF ANY DOUBTS ARISE REGARDING THESE
INSTRUCTIONS, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR
SUPPLIER.
GUARANTEE
OPUS is guaranteed for 5 years (excluding
replacement bulbs and glueboards). If a fault
occurs, contact your supplier, who will replace
your unit providing the product has been
operated under normal conditions.
