Product Overview
About Your CUBE Micro Station
The Bretford CUBE Micro Station provides compact charging for up to 10 devices.
1. Device Modules - Two (2) removable 5-slot modules for storing devices.
2. AC Adapter Storage Cover - Located under the Device Modules, the cover is removable and
provides easy access to the Adapter Storage Compartment.
3. Power Outlets/Adapter Storage Compartment - Located below the Removable AC
Adapter Storage Cover. This is where AC charging adapters and power cables are stored for
your devices.
4. Power Switch - Turns power on/off for CUBE Micro Station. Controls device charging and
power to auxiliary plug.
5. Courtesy Outlet - Allows you to daisy-chain two (2) CUBE Micro Stations together or can
serve as an auxiliary plug for an additional device.
6. Reversible Front Door - Allows the direction the door opens to be changed from right to left
and vice-versa.

Important Information
Product ships fully assembled with Wall Mount Adapter attached.
Stored devices should not exceed the size of a 14" laptop.
Mounting hardware is not included.
Vertical stacks shall not exceed two (2) CUBE Micro Stations.
Daisy-chain feature not available when mounted to the wall.
Devices powered by the Courtesy Outlet are not to exceed 100W.

CUBE Micro Accessories
Outlet Saver Extension Cord Kit (QTY 10) - Allows you to support non-standard AC power
adapters. For instance, large "wall wart" type adapters that could cover one or more of the
adjacent AC power outlets in the Adapter Storage Compartment.

Before You Begin
Standard Installation
Time Required - 30 minutes for wiring.
Tools - None.
If Mounting
Tools - Power drill, Phillips head screwdriver, Torx T-25 bit, bubble level, mounting hardware
specific to mounting surface and bits to drill through wood studs, cement, or cinder blocks.
Important - Mounting hardware not included.
WARNING - For safety and ease of installation, use a qualified professional to properly install
the correct mounting hardware for your specific wall surface. Failure to secure the cabinet
properly will void the warranty.
If Stacking
Tools - Power drill or screwdriver with Torx T-25 bit to secure CUBE Micro Station to Stacking
Brace Plate.
If Rotating the Door
Tools - Power drill or screwdriver with Phillips head.

Unboxing CUBE Micro Station
Step-By-Step
The CUBE Micro Station ships fully assembled. When the product arrives:
1. Open the box and remove all surrounding cardboard packaging.
2. Lift the CUBE Micro Station out of the cardboard box.
3. Set the CUBE Micro Station on a flat surface.
4. Using the keys provided, unlock and open the front door.
5. Locate and remove both Device Modules from inside the CUBE Micro Station.
6. Remove packaging for the Device Modules.
7. Wire CUBE Micro Station for devices.
8. Place each Device Module back inside the CUBE Micro Station.

Wiring CUBE Micro Station
Step-By-Step
1. Shutdown the CUBE Micro Station using the power switch and unplug the unit from the wall.
2. Unlock and open the CUBE Micro Station door.
3. Remove the Device Modules from the unit and set them to the side.
4. Lifting up from the center cut-out, remove the AC Adapter Storage Cover and set it to the side.
5. One-by-one, plug each AC adapter into one of the ten (10) AC outlets.
6. Carefully, route each power cable through the tray and out through a corresponding hole on
the lower front portion of the unit.
7. Replace the AC Adapter Storage Cover, making sure to wrap it over the front, back and side
edges of the AC Storage Compartment.
8. Return the Device Modules to the CUBE Micro Station.
9. Insert ten (10) devices into the slot dividers, connecting each into a corresponding AC power
adapter.
10. Connect the main CUBE Micro Station power cable into the wall.
11. Toggle the power switch to ON ("RESET").

Important Information
Be sure to wrap each adapter as efficiently as possible to make the most out of the space
provided for the adapters.
Cables that are not plugged into devices can rest in the front lower pocket of the tray to stay
out of the way of the door.
When toggled ON and connected, the power switch will light up to indicate the CUBE Micro
Station is powered.
NOTE - The middle divider is not intended for use with a device as it would rest on the
separation between the two Device Modules. This product is only designed for use with ten
(10) devices.

Mounting CUBE Micro Station
Step-By-Step
1. Procure the proper mounting hardware to mount the CUBE Micro to your desired surface:
wood studs, cement, cinder block
2. Ensure the Wall Mount Adapter is secured to the top rear of the CUBE Micro Station. The wall
mount adapter comes pre-installed. The adapter is attached via 4 Torx T-25 screws into four
pre-drilled holes, with the tabs facing down.
3. Locate the Mount Locking Screws threaded on the Wall Mount Plate. Remove them and set
aside.
4. With the slot cutouts facing upward, attach the mounting plate, to the wall, ensuring the method
can support 220 lb.
5. Once the mounting plate is secured to the wall, lift the CUBE Micro Station with attached mount
adapter and place it onto the mounting plate, allowing the tabs on the adapter to slide securely
into the slots of the mounting plate.
6. Open the front door of the CUBE Micro Station and remove the Device Modules.
7. Locate the (2) screw holes along the back interior wall of the station.
8. Using the Mount Locking Screws provided, fasten the CUBE Micro Station to the mounting
plate to prevent the station from being lifted off the mounting plate.
9. Close and lock the front door of the CUBE Micro Station to complete the mounting installation.

Important Information
Mounting hardware not included.
Unit has been tested and certified to support up to 220 lb. (100 kg.) when mounted to wood
studs.
The wall mounting plate is intended to support the cabinet and ten (10) mobile devices
(maximum weight of devices w/ chargers not to exceed 50 lb.)
Do not place anything on top of the CUBE Micro Station, while mounted on the wall.
Only the mounting plate provided with this product should be used to secure it to the wall.
Once the front door is locked, the mount locking screws become inaccessible, preventing the
CUBE Micro Station - User Guide 12 of 23

cabinet from being removed from the wall.
Bretford will not be liable for the improper use or installation of its products.

Stacking CUBE Micro Station
Step-By-Step
1. Locate the Wall Mount Adapter on the rear of each CUBE Micro Station.
2. Remove the four (4) Torx T-25 screws on each unit and set aside. Store the Wall Mount
Adapters in a safe place.
3. Locate the Stacking Brace Plate.
4. Carefully, lower the CUBE Micro Station onto the other CUBE Micro Station.
5. Once stacked, use the Stacking Brace Plate to secure each CUBE Micro Station together with
the four (4) Torx T-25 screws you set aside when removing the Wall Mount Adapter.
Important
Take care when placing two CUBE Micro Stations together to avoid scratching or denting
either station.
If unstacking units, we recommend reattaching the Wall Mount Adapter to the rear of each
CUBE Micro Station.

Daisy-Chaining Cube Micro Station
Step-By-Step
1. Shutdown both CUBE Micro Stations using the power switch and unplug each unit from the
wall.
2. With two units securely placed in adjacent positions, take the AC power cable from one CUBE
Micro Station and plug into the rear Courtesy Outlet of the adjacent CUBE Micro Station.
3. Connect the AC power cable from the second CUBE Micro Station into the wall.
4. Toggle each CUBE Micro Station power switch to ON ("RESET").
Important Information
Daisy-chain feature is not applicable to wall mounted units.
The remaining Courtesy Outlet on the daisy chained CUBE Micro Station can power an
additional auxiliary device not to exceed 100W.

Rotating the Front Door
Tools Required
Power Drill with Philips head bit
Step-By-Step
1. Unlock and open the CUBE Micro Station.
2. Using a power drill with Philips head bit, locate and remove the three (3) screws that secure the
door in place.
3. Flip the door 180-degrees.
4. Carefully, line up the three (3) holes in the hinge with the three (3) pre-drilled holes on the
opposite side of the CUBE Micro Station.
5. Applying pressure, carefully tighten the self-tapping screws into the CUBE Micro Station
housing.

Product Warranty
Bretford Manufacturing, Inc. ("Bretford") designs and manufactures its products to provide
dependable operation. Therefore, Bretford warrants that all products it manufactures are at
date of shipment — free from defects in material or workmanship. Any product which under
normal use fails to function within the time periods specified below, and found defective in
material or workmanship by Bretford's inspection, will, at Bretford's option be either repaired
or replaced with the same or functionally equivalent product, without charge to you, the end
customer.
This warranty is inapplicable where, in the judgement of Bretford, the defect is attributable
to abnormal wear, misapplication, abuse, accident, misuse, modification or damage after
shipment from Bretford's facility, including damage caused by your failure to properly
maintain the item.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: (A) BRETFORD IS NOT LIABLE FOR
ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF
THE USE OR SERVICE OF THE PRODUCT; (B) THE WARRANTY AND REMEDIES
DESCRIBED ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRETFORD DISCLAIMS
ALL IMPLIED AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES
OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IF IMPLIED
WARRANTIES CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, THEN SUCH
WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE APPLICABLE DURATION OF THIS
WARRANTY. NOTE THAT YOU MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS PROVIDED BY LAW.

Freight and Delivery Damage
Damaged, lost, or shorted shipments are the responsibility of the motor carrier. Please inspect
all shipments promptly and report damage to the delivery carrier immediately. Carriers require
such reports within 15 days of delivery. Losses due to the failure to timely report damage or
loss is your responsibility.

Warranty claims should be processed by the end customer contacting the Bretford Customer
Support Team. Prior to contacting Bretford, please have ready the model number, serial
number, and date of manufacture of the unit you are making the claim on.
Model number, serial number, and date of manufacture can all be found on the Bretford label
inside the product.

Safety
Safe Use Instructions
Product for Indoor Use Only
User can plug-in (10) devices + (1) Auxiliary device, (not to exceed 100W each) at one time.
Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position and CUBE Micro Station is disconnect from the
wall before plugging devices into e-unit.
Do not plug the unit in if the switch or power cord has been damaged.
Unplug unit from the wall before moving to a different location.
Only transport device to a different location if door is securely locked.
Be sure to lock up the station in a secure environment after every use.
Keep the keys in a secure location, away from the unit itself.
The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.
