1.3 - Presentazione di questo manuale
Leggete con estrema attenzione le informazioni riportate nel presente manuale, in
quanto una corretta predisposizione, installazione ed utilizzazione della macchina,
costituiscono la base per lavorare in totale sicurezza.
1.3.1 - Scopo e contenuto:
Questo manuale ha lo scopo di fornire al Cliente tutte le informazioni necessarie
affinché, oltre ad un adeguato utilizzo della macchina, sia in grado di gestire la
stessa nel modo più autonomo e sicuro possibile. Esso comprende informazioni
inerenti l’aspetto Tecnico, il Funzionamento,la Sicurezza, il Fermo Macchina, la Ma-
nutenzione e i Ricambi.
Prima di effettuare qualsiasi operazione sulla Macchina, gli Operatori ed i Tecnici
Qualificati devono leggere attentamente le istruzioni contenute nella presente pub-
blicazione.
In caso di dubbi sulla corretta interpretazione delle istruzioni,interpellare la Brevetti
Motta per ottenere i necessari chiarimenti.
1.3.2 - Destinatari:
Il Manuale in oggetto è rivolto sia all’Operatore che ai Tecnici abilitati alla Manuten-
zione della Macchina.
I conduttori non devono eseguire operazioni riservate ai Manutentori o ai Tecnici
qualificati.
Il Costruttore non risponde ai danni derivanti dalla mancata osservanza di questo
divieto.
1.3.3 - Conservazione:
Il presente manuale è parte integrante della macchina e deve accompagnarla sem-
pre in ogni suo spostamento o rivendita. Deve essere manutenuto in vicinanza della
macchina in luogo sicuro e conosciuto dal personale addetto. E’ compito dello
stesso personale addetto conservarlo e mantenerlo integro per permetterne la con-
sultazione, durante tutto l’arco di vita della macchina stessa. Qualora venisse dan-
neggiato o smarrito è necessario richiederne immediatamente copia alla Ditta
costruttrice. Anche le foto contenute in questo manuale sono state realizzate senza
pannelli e con le protezioni aperte per rendere le figure stesse più chiare. Si fa
assoluto divieto di usare la macchina senza pannelli e protezioni aperte.
E’ responsabilità del datore di lavoro assicurarsi che questo manuale
sia letto e compreso da tutto il personale destinato all’uso della
macchina.

1.3 - About this manual
Read all information described very closely. Only a proper arrangement, installation
and use of this machine can guarantee to work safely.
1.3.1 - Object and contents:
The goal of this handbook is to provide to the customer all the necessary information
so that they can properly use the machine be able to run it in complete autonomy
and safety.The handbook contains information concerning the technical aspects,
machine working, safety, standstill, maintenance and spare parts.
Before making any operation on the machine, the qualified technicians and
operators must carefully read this handbook.
In case of doubt about the correct interpretation of these instructions, ask Brevetti
Motta or your local distributor to have the problem explained.
1.3.2 - Utilizers:
This handbook is made both for operators and technicians authorized to perform
the machine maintenance.
The operators can not execute operations reserved to the qualified technicians.
The producer does not answer to damages deriving from not-observing this
prohibition.
1.3.3 - Preservation:
The handbook is an integral part of the machine, and must be provided with the
saw. The handbook must be kept close to the machine, in a safe environment, and
in a place known to the operators.
It is the duty of the operators to keep it in a good condition. If lost a new handbook
has to be ordered immediately.
Some pictures displayed in this handbook have been drawn without showing the
panels and with the safety protections open.
This was done to show the details of the machine in the clearest way possible.
It is the buyer’s responsability to assure this manual is

2- INTRODUZIONE
2.1 - Descrizione della macchina:
Latroncatricebilamamod. C 18Plusèuna macchina afunzionamentoelettro-pneuma-
ticoconbattuta di appoggiofissaperil taglio a45°+45°d’astein legno diqualsiasigene-
re e forma, mediante due lame circolari in Widiam, con diametro esterno massimo
380mm (foro della lama 32mm).
2.2 - Uso previsto:
La macchina è stata progettata per il taglio di aste in legno e materiali simili, (MDF),
materiali plastici come PVC,PS.
La macchina è prevista unicamente per il funzionamento manuale (cioè sotto il
controllo diretto dell’operatore)
2.3 - Utilizzi non consentiti:
La macchina non deve venire utilizzata:
1 - Per il taglio di sezioni maggiori di quelle indicate in questo Manuale d’uso
2 - Per il taglio di materiale ferroso ad esempio acciaio e ghisa
3 - Per il taglio di materiale contenente resine fenoliche
4 - In operazioni diverse da quelle indicate in questo manuale
5 - In ambienti esterni o atmosfere esplosive
Le nostre troncatrici bilama sono macchine destinate (seguendo
quanto riportato sopra), ad essere utilizzate esclusivamente per il
taglio di aste in legno e materiali simili (MDF), materiali plastici come
PVC, PS due tagli (45°+45°) vengono eseguiti in un’unica operazione.
Un solo operatore è in grado di effettuare l’operazione di taglio dei
materiali e di cambio lame.
Ogni altro utilizzo a cui le macchine venissero destinate e non con
templato in questo manuale, esonera la ditta Costruttrice da ogni e
qualsiasi responsabilità per danni a persone, animali o cose.
Le macchine sono destinate ad un uso professionale e l’operatore
preposto deve avere l’idoneità comprovata ad essere in grado di
leggere e comprendere quanto riportato in questo manuale.
L’operatore inoltre, dovrà utilizzare le macchine tenendo presente le
norme vigenti in materia di prevenzione infortuni, condizioni di
utilizzo e caratteristiche delle macchine stesse.
2.INTRODUCTION:
2.1 - Machine description:
C18 Plusisanelectropneumaticdoublemiteringmachinewithfixedfencefor45°degrees
cuts, at both ends, in wooden mouldings of any shape and kind by means of 2
circular carbide saw blades of max diameter of 380mm. (”) (size bore 32mm. 11/4”).
2.2 - Scheduled use:
The machine is designed to cut wood, MDF, plastic materials as PVC, PS.
The machine is projected for manual use only (under the direct control of one
operator)
2.3 - Not permitted uses:
The machine must not be used
1 - For cutting workpieces with cross-section larger than those specified in this
Manual
2 - For cutting ferrous materials such as steel or cast iron
3 - For cutting materials containing phenolic resins
4 - For operations that differ from those indicated in this manual
5 - For outdoors or in an explosive atmosphere
Our double mitre saw are machines designed (as explained here
over), for only cutting wood (MDF, plastic material, PVC,PS). Two cuts
(at 45°+45°) are made with each cycle.
One only operator is capable to perform the cutting operation as well
as the saw blade changing.
Any other use of the machine besides the ones described in this
handbook free the manufacturer from any kind of responsability for
damage to persons, animals or things.
The machines are designed for professional use. The operator has
to be qualified to read and understand what is written in this handbook.
Furthermore, the operator must use the machine according to the
current rules regarding the prevention of accidents, conditions of
use and characteristics of the machines themselves.

2.4 - Durata
La durata prevista della macchina in condizioni di uso normale e regolare manuten-
zione è da ritenersi di almeno 10 anni.
2.5 - Stoccaggio
In caso di lunga inattività, la macchina deve essere così trattata:
- Immagazzinare la macchina in luogo chiuso
- Ingrassare le parti non verniciate e le colonne
- Imballare e coprire la macchina per proteggerla da urti, umidità e sbalzi termici.
- Evitare che la macchina venga a contatto con sostanze corrosive.
2.6 - Demolizione
All’atto dello smaltimento è necessario separare le seguenti parti: parti plastiche,
parti metalliche e parti elettriche.Il materiale plastico e le parti elettriche dovranno
essere raccolte differenzialmente ed inviate negli appositi centri di raccolta nel ri-
spetto della Normativa Vigente. Per quanto riguarda le parti metalliche è sufficiente
la divisione delle stesse in parti acciaiose o in altri metalli o leghe, quindi indirizzarle
nei centri di raccolta.
2.4 - Service Life of the machine
The estimated service life of the machine in normal operating conditions and
undergoing routines maintenance is at least 10 years.
2.5 - Storage
Ifthemachineissupposednottobeusedfor a long time follow hereunder instructions:
- Store it in a closed place
- Grease columns and parts without paints
- Pack and cover the machine in order to protect it from collisions - humidity and wide
changes of temperature.
- Avoid that the machine gets in touch with corrosive materials.
2.6 - Dismantling
At the moment of dismantling it is necessary to separate the following parts: plastic
parts, metal parts and electric parts. The plastic material and the electric parts must
be collected separately and sent to the appropriate collection centers in compliance
with current legislation. Regarding the metal parts it is sufficient to divide the parts
separately into groups of steel and other metals or alloys, to then be sent to recycling
centers.

2.7 - EMISSIONI
2.7.1 - Livello sonoro

dB(A).Ivalori riportatisonolivellidi emissione sonoraenon necessariamente livelliope-
rativisicuri.Sebbenevisiaunacorrelazionetrailivellidiemissionesonoraed i livelli di
esposizione,questofatto non puòessereutilizzatoper determinaresesiarichiesto l’uso
omenodi ulteriorimisurepreventive disicurezza.I fattoricheinfluenzano ilrealelivello di
esposizionedell’operatoreincludono sia laduratadell’esposizioneche le caratteristiche
delluogodilavoro,ilnumero delle macchine e gli altri tipidilavorazioneeffettuatenelle
immediatevicinanze.Inoltre, i livellidiesposizionesonora consentiti possonovariareda
paese a paese. Queste informazioni, tuttavia, potranno essere di utilità all’utente per
valutarerischiepericoliderivati da esposizione al rumore.
Dai valori rilevati, durante il ciclo di lavoro, la macchina presenta una
elevata rumorosità. Nell’utilizzo operativo della macchina pertanto è
obbligatorio, per l’operatore, l’uso di strumenti di protezione
insonorizzanti, tipo cuffie o tappi adeguati, per evitare, anche nel
tempo, danni al sistema uditivo.
2.7.2 - Emissioni polveri:
Controncatriceinlavoro il livellodipolveriemessepresso la postazionedilavororisulta
essere di 30 mmg/m3.
Dai valori rilevati, durante il ciclo di lavoro, la macchina presenta una,
seppur modesta emissione di polveri. Nell’utilizzo operativo della
macchina pertanto è consigliabile, per l’operatore, l’uso di mascherine
di protezione alle vie respiratorie.
2.8 - Vibrazioni:
In condizioni di impiego conformi alle indicazioni di corretto utilizzo, le vibrazioni non
sono tali da fare insorgere situazioni di pericolo. Il livello medio quadratico pondera-
to, in frequenza, dell’accelerazione cui sono esposte le membra superiori non su-
pera i 2,5 m/s2.
2.9 - Ambiente elettromagnetico:
La macchina è realizzata per operare correttamente in un ambiente elettromagne-
tico di tipo industriale. Rientra quindi nei limiti di Emissione ed Immunità previsti
dalle attuali Normative Europee in questo settore.
2.7-EMISSION
2.7.1 - Sound Level
Continuousequivalent level of acoustic pressure in theworkingplaceinload:LAeq=87
dB(A). The values given are noise emission levels and do not necessarily correspond
to safe operating levels. Although noise emission levels and exposure levels are
related, it is not possible to determine from the above values alone whether further
safety measures are required. The true level of operator exposure can only be

operations performed in the immediate vicinity. Moreover, permissible noise exposure
levels vary from country to country. Nevertheless, this information may help the user
to evaluate the noise exposure risks and hazards associated with the use of this
machine. From the values measured during the cutting cycle, the
machine presents a high level of noise. Because of this, during
the use of the machine, it is required for the operator to wear
hearing protection; like headphones or ear plugs, so as to
avoid any kind of long term damage.
2.7.2 - Saw dust emission:
With the saw on and cutting mouldings the saw dust emission at the operator

From the values measured during the cutting cycle the machine
presents, even if low, emission of saw dust. Because of this, during
the use of the machine it is advisable for the operator the use of a
dust mask.
2.8 - Vibrations:
In standard conditions confirmed to the indication of machine proper utilization the
vibrations do not create dangerous conditions. The average quadratic weighed
level, according to the acceleration frequency to which arms are exposed does not
exceed 2,5 m/s2.
2.9 - Electromagnetic environment:
This machine has been studied to work in en electromagnetic industrial
environment. It complies the emissions limits of the European rules in this sector.

3- NORMEDISICUREZZA:
3.1 - Avvertenze Generali:
La gestione della troncatrice C 18 Plus da parte di personale che non sia stato
adeguatamente istruito, è altamente rischioso. Si raccomanda di non utilizzare la
macchina fino a che non si siano apprese completamente tutte le procedure di
funzionamento, di regolazione, di taratura, di manutenzione e uso generale descrit-
te in questo manuale.
Gli allacciamenti: Elettrico, aspirazione dovranno essere effettuati da personale
specializzato, il quale dovrà accertare che nel luogo di installazione della macchina
sia presente un idoneo impianto di messa a terra.
Tenere sempre gli schermi di protezione fissati durante il lavoro.
TUTTI I SISTEMI DI SICUREZZATASSATIVAMENTE NON DEVONO ESSERE
RIMOSSI O BY-PASSATI.
- Togliere le chiavi e gli attrezzi delle regolazioni dalla macchina prima di utilizzarla.
- Tenere pulita l’area di lavoro. Il disordine provoca incidenti.
- Non usare la macchina in zone umide, bagnate, esposte alla pioggia o scarsa-
mente illuminate.
- Tenere bambini e visitatori lontani dalle zone di lavoro.
- Mantenere le attrezzature da lavoro fuori dalla portata dei bambini.
- Non forzare gli utensili.Utilizzare gli utensili solo per l’uso per i quali sono stati
destinati senza forzarli.
- Utilizzare il vestiario appropriato. Evitare anelli, collane, ecc. che possano impi-
gliarsi in parti mobili.
- Tenere le mani sul pezzo da lavorare durante l’utilizzo della macchina.
- Non sbilanciarsi. Usare calzature adatte per mantenersi bilanciati in modo da non
scivolare durante il lavoro.
- Mantenere le macchine pulite e lubrificate.
- Smontare gli utensili prima di ripararli o per controllarli prima di sostituirli. Utensili
incrinati, saldati e non equilibrati non dovranno essere riutilizzati sulla macchina.
- Usare gli accessori consigliati. L’utilizzo di accessori impropri può causare perico-
li.
- Usare sempre materiale originale BREVETTI MOTTA.. L’uso di materiali non origi-
nali spesso può causare pericoli o malfunzionamenti.
- Evitare messe in moto accidentali.
- Assicurarsi che la macchina sia installata in piano.
- Sostituire le parti danneggiate.
- Mai lasciare la macchina accesa ed incustodita. Spegnerla.
- Non utilizzare la macchina sotto l’effetto di droghe, alcool o medicinali.
3- SAFETYRULES
3.1 - General advertising
The C 18 Plus miter saw must never be run by unqualified personnel. It is very
dangerous. Do not attempt to operate the machine until you have acquired a thorough
knowledge of the operating, setting adjustment and maintenance procedures
described in this Operation and Maintenance manual.
The electrical and dust extraction system connections must be made by specialized
personnel, who must also make sure that there is an efficient earthing circuit at the
site where the machine is to be installed.
Keep guards in place and in working order.
DANGER: NEVER REMOVE OR BY PASSANYSAFETY SYSTEM.
- Remove adjusting keys and wrenches, from machine before using it.
- Keep work area clean.Cluttered areas and benches invite accidents.
- Don’t use in dangerous environment. Like damp, wet locations or rain. Keep work
area well lighted.
- Keep children and visitors away.
- Make workshop childproof.
- Don’t force tool and use right tool. Don’t force tool to do a job for which it was not
designed.
- Wear proper apparel. No loose clothing, rings or other jewelry to get caught in
moving parts.
- Always hold the work firmly against the miter gauge or fence never perform any
operation “free-hand”.
- Don’t overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
- Maintain the machine clean and lubricated.
- Disconnect tools before servicing and when changing accessories. Cracked,
unbalanced or welded tools must not be used.
- Use recommended accessories. The use of improper accessories may cause
hazards.
- Always use original BREVETTI MOTTA products. The use of not original product
may cause hazards or malfunctioning.
- Avoid accidental starting.
- Fix machine to the ground.
- Replace damaged parts.
- Never leave the machine running unattended. Turn power off.
- Do not operate tool. while under the influence of drug alchool and any medication.

- Non compiere mai regolazioni sulla macchina mentre sta funzionando.
- Tenere il più lontano possibile le mani dalle parti in movimento.
- Mai fermarsi con le mani o con il corpo in corrispondenza di feritoie.
- E’ consigliabile tenere nei pressi del luogo di lavoro ove è situata la macchina una
cassetta di pronto soccorso dotata di presidi sanitari in corso di validità e idonei a
semplici interventi di emergenza.
- Le modalità di avvicinamento alla macchina del materiale da lavorare, così come
la raccolta e lo spostamento del materiale di scarto possono rappresentare rischi
che rientrano sotto le responsabilità del Cliente e dell’Operatore.
Le sezioni massime del materiale da tagliare sono indicate a pag.2.10. La macchi-
na è stata costruita per soddisfare i requisiti essenziali di sicurezza espressi nella
Direttiva. Gli utensili utilizzabili su questa macchina devono essere conformi a quanto
contemplato nelle norme EN 847.1. Non è consentito l’impiego di utensili aventi
caratteristiche inferiori. Incrinati, non equilibrati e saldati.
3.2 - Avvertenze particolari
Il datore di lavoro dovrà provvedere ad istruire il personale sui rischi derivanti da
infortuni, sui dispositivi predisposti per la sicurezza dell’operatore e sulle regole
antinfortunistiche generali previste dalle direttive e dalla legislazione del Paese di
utilizzo della macchina.
La sicurezza dell’operatore è una delle principali nostre preoccupazioni come
costruttori di queste macchine.
Nel realizzare una nuova macchina, si cerca di prevedere tutte le possibili situazioni
di pericolo e naturalmente di adottare le opportune sicurezze.
Rimane comunque molto alto il livello di incidenti causati dall’incauto e maldestro
uso delle varie macchine. La distrazione, la leggerezza e la troppa confidenza sono
spesso causa di infortuni; come possono esserlo la stanchezza e la sonnolenza.
E’ obbligatorio quindi leggere attentamente questo manuale ed in particolare le
norme di sicurezza, facendo molta attenzione a quelle operazioni che risultassero
particolarmente pericolose.
La Ditta Costruttrice declina ogni e qualsiasi responsabilità per la mancata
ossevanza delel norme di sicurezza e di prevenzione riportate nel presente manua-
le.
- Never make adjustments on machine with power on.
- keep hands out from movable parts during working operation.
- Never stand or have your hands in line with the path where tools or parts of
machines move.
- It is advisable to keep a first-aid kit containing disinfectant and materials for
simple first-aid work near to where the machine is being used.
- The operation of moving the workpiece towards the machine and collecting and
removing waste can create risks which are the responsibility of the customer and
the operator.
The maximum cross-sections of the workpiece are indicated in page 2.10.The
machine is constructed in accordance with the essential safety requirements of
Directive . The tools which can be used on this machine must comply with the
provisions of draft standards N.847.1It is not permitted to use tools which have
inferior characteristics or are cracked, unbalanced or welded.
3.2 - Specific advertising
The buyer, will have to instruct his workers in the risk of accidents, on the devices
provided for the security of the operator, and of the general rules on the prevention
of accidents contemplated by the law in force in the country in which the machine is
installed.
The safety of the operator is one of Brevetti Motta main concerns.
When designing a new machine, the main goal is to estimate all the possible
dangerous situations that may arise, and according to this, adopt all of the correct
preventions.
There remains a very high possibility an accident can occur caused by the improper
use of the machine. Distractions and too much confidence when using the
machines, are the main cause of accidents; as well as sleepiness and fatigue.
For this reason, it is required to carefully read the handbook and particularly the
security norms, paying attention to the operations that may be particularly dangerous.
The manufacturer declines all responsibility for not observing the security norms
expressed in this handbook.
Pay attention to this sign when it is shown in the
handbook. It indicates a possible dangerous
situation.

3.2.1. - Terminologia adottata:
A completamento della descrizione dei vari livelli di pericolo, vengono di seguito
descritte situazioni, e definizioni specifiche, che possono coinvolgere direttamente
la macchina e/o le persone.
- DATORE DI LAVORO/CLIENTE: L’utente è la persona, o l’ente o la società, che ha
acquistato o affittato la macchina e che intende usarla per gli usi concepiti allo
scopo.
- ZONA PERICOLOSA: Qualsiasi zona all’interno e/o in prossimità di una macchina
in cui la presenza di una persona esposta costituisca un rischio per la sicurezza e la
salute di detta persona.
- PERSONA ESPOSTA: Qualsiasi persona che si trovi interamente o in parte in una
zona pericolosa
- PERSONALE QUALIFICATO OD OPERATORE:La,ole persone,incaricatediinstal-
lare, di far funzionare, di regolare, di eseguire la manutenzione, di pulire, di riparare
e di trasportare una macchina.
Dangers can be at three levels:
= DANGER This is the sign of maximum danger. If the
suggestions in the handbook are not followed, it
cause grievous harm, death, or a long term
health risk.
= WARNING The “warning” sign, informs you that if the described
operations are not precisely followed, it can cause
grievous harm, death, or a long term health risk.
= CAUTION The “Caution” sign,informsyouthatif the described
operations are not precisely followed, it can cause
grievous damage to the machine and persons
3.2.1. - Terminology Used:
To complete the description of the various levels of danger, we are now going to
described the situations, and specific definitions that can be related directly to the
machine and persons.
- BUYER/CUSTOMER: Is the person, or the society, that has purchased or leased the
machine and that intends to use it for the conceived use.
- DANGEROUS AREA: Whatever area inside and close to the machine, in which the
presence of a person can be a risk for the security and the health of that person.
- EXPOSED PERSONS: Whatever person which is in proximity to or inside of a
dangerous area.
- QUALIFIED PERSONS OR OPERATORS: The person, or persons, in charge of the
cleaning the machine, using the machine, maintaining the machine, and shipping/
moving the machine.

PERSONALE SPECIALIZZATO: Come tali si intendono quelle persone apposita-
mente addestrate ed abilitate ad effettuare interventi di manutenzione o riparazione
che richiedono una particolare conoscenza della macchina, del suo funzionamento,
delle sicurezze, delle modalità di intervento e che sono in grado di riconoscere i
pericoli derivanti dall’utilizzo della macchina e quindi possono essere in grado di
evitarli.
CENTRO ASSISTENZA AUTORIZZATO: IlCentro diAssistenza autorizzato èlastrut-
tura, legalmente autorizzata dalla Ditta Costruttrice, che dispone di personale spe-
cializzato e abilitato ad effettuare tutte le operazioni di assistenza, manutenzione e
riparazione, anche di una certa complessità, che si rendono necessarie per il man-
tenimento della macchina in perfetta efficienza.
3.3- Zone pericolose:
La zone di carico - taglio e scarico dell’asta è definita area di lavoro.
La zona intorno alla macchina alle distanze indicate nella figura sottostante è defini-
ta zona pericolosa.
In queste zone deve sostare solamente l’operatore.
.4 - Dispositivi di protezione:
La macchina è dotata di ripari adeguati alla protezione dell’operatore dai rischi
dovuti agli elementi mobili di trasmissione e alle lame che svolgono il lavoro di
taglio dell’asta.
- SPECIALIZED PERSONS: All persons trained and able to perform the maintenance
and/or the repairs that requires a particular knowledge of the machine, its functions,
of the safety devices. They are also capable to recognize the dangers arising from
the use of the machine and to be able to avoid them.
-AUTHORIZEDASSISTANCE CENTERS:TheAuthorizedAssistanceCentersarethe
companies, legally authorized by the Manufacturer, that can provide trained
employees, able to supply the proper technical assistance to the customers to solve
all of the most particular and complicated problems, having all parts necessary to
keep the machine running at peak efficiency.
3.3 - Dangerous area:
The area of loading-cutting and discharging the mouldings is defined working area.
The area all around the machine to the distances indicated in hereunder drawing is
defined dangerous area.
Only the operator can remain inside this area.
3.4 - Safety devices:
This machine is equipped with proper safety shields to protect the operator from
risks due to movable parts, the transmissions elements and the saw blades that
cuts the mouldings.

3.5 - Procedure di lavoro sicure:
= PERICOLO
- E’ assolutamente vietato azionare o far azionare la macchina da chi non ha letto ed
assimilato quanto riportato in questo manuale, nonchè da personale non compe-
tente, o non in buone condizioni psicofisiche.
- Prima di mettere in funzione la macchina, controllare la perfetta integrità di tutte le
sicurezze e della macchina stessa.
- Prima di iniziare il lavoro, familiarizzare con i dispositivi di comando e le loro
funzioni
- E’ assolutamente vietato rimuovere o manomettere i dispositivi di sicurezza
- La zona nella quale viene utilizzata la macchina è da considerarsi “zona pericolo-
sa”, soprattutto per persone non addestrate all’uso della stessa
- Prima di mettere in funzione la macchina, verificare che tutt’intorno all’area di
lavoro non vi siano persone estranee o animali, nel qual caso devono essere allon-
tanate.
- Quando una persona è “esposta”, cioè si trova in “zona pericolosa”, l’operatore
deve immediatamente intervenire arrestando la macchina ed eventualmente allon-
tanando la persona in questione.
- Con la macchina in funzione non avvicinare eccessivamente le mani alle lame di
taglio
- E’ assolutamente vietato abbandonare il posto di lavoro con la macchina in funzio-
ne.
- E’ assolutamente vietato toccare le parti in movimento o di interporsi tra le stesse
3.2.2 - Safe working procedures:
= DANGER
- it is absolutely prohibited to let people run and operate the machine, who have not
read and understood what is described in this handbook, or by incompetent persons,
or persons that are not in good psychological or physical condition.
- Before connecting the machine to power and running it, verify that all safeties work
properly.
- Before starting to use the machine, get used to using the control devices.
- It is forbidden to remove or change the safety devices.
- The area in which the machine is used, has to be considered as a “dangerous
area”, especially for the persons not trained to use it.
- Before starting the machine, verify that there are no unauthorized persons or
animals in the working area.
- When a person is inside the dangerous area, the operator has to stop the machine
immediate.
- Do not put your hands close to the blades when the machine is running.
- It is forbidden to leave the working area when the machine on.
- It is forbidden to touch any of the moving parts or keep hands in line with the path
where moveable parts run.

3.6 - Rischi residui:
La macchina è stata realizzata adottando tutte le possibili norme di sicurezza per la
salvaguardia di chi vi opera. Nonostante ciò possono esistere ulteriori rischi residui
che vengono segnalati sulla macchina con dei segnali.
Tali segnali (pittogrammi) sono riportati sulla macchina e segnalano le seguenti
situazioni di insicurezza
1 - Pericolo per livello di rumore elevato. In fase di lavoro indossare adeguate cuffie
o tappi di protezione
2 - Durante l’uso della macchina ed in particolare durante la sostituzione delle lame
di taglio, è obbligatorio usare guanti di protezione
3 - Durante l’uso della macchina, è obbligatorio l’utilizzo degli occhiali di protezione
4 - Durante l’uso della macchina, usare un’adeguata mascherina di protezione
delle vie di respiratorie
A causa di questi sopramenzionati rischi è necessario che in fase di
installazioni gli operatori sulla macchina vengano opportunamente
informati da personale specializzato.
3.6.1 - Altri rischi residui:
Durante la fase di lavoro e quelle di manutenzione gli operatori sono esposti ad una
serie di altri Rischi Residui, che per propria natura non possono essere eliminati
totalmente. Essi sono:
1 - Rischio di contatto con un attrezzo dimenticato all’interno della macchina ai fini
della sua normale manutenzione
2 - Possibile proiezione di alcuni trucioli al di fuori della carpenteria esterna della
macchina che potrebbero venire a contatto con l’operatore
3 - Errori di montaggio dell’utensile lama da parte dell’operatore o errati collega-
menti alla sorgente di corrente elettrica (le lame potrebbero ruotare in senso contra-
rio)
4 - Rischio di taglio dovuto al contatto accidentale delle mani con le lame (ad esem-
pio se non vengono utilizzati dei guanti, come previsto nel libretto di istruzioni (par.17),
durante la sostituzione delle stesse o se, a manovrare la macchina, sono presenti
una più o persone al di fuori dell’operatore, come espressamente indicato nel libret-
to di istruzioni Par.13).
5 - Rischio di presenza di energia elettrica e/o pneumatica durante la fase di manu-
tenzione
3.6 - Residual Risks
The machine has been designed adopting all the possible security norms, in order
to protect the persons that operate it. In spite of this, there can exist residual risks
that are shown on the machine by signs. These signs (pictograms) are placed on
the machine to show the following situations of risk:
1 - Danger for a high level of noise. Always use headphones or ear plugs when
working with the machine
2 - While using the machine & while changing the blades. It is required to use cut
resistant gloves
3 - During the use of the machine, it is required to wear safety glasses
4 - During the use of the machine, use a special mask (dust mask or respirator)
Owing to the residual risks related with the machine, it is
necessary that at the beginning the user of the machine should
be properly trained and assisted by qualified personnel.
3.6.1 - Residual risks:
During the normal working cycle and while maintenance, the operators are exposed
to several other risks that, because of operations own nature, can not be totally
eliminated.
1 - Risk of being hit by tool used foot maintenance
2 - Risk of being hit by splinters ejected outside of casing
3 - Error of assembly, because of blades assembly in opposite sense or mistaken
electric connection (rotation in the opposite sense)
4 -Risk of cutting because of accidental contact with blades in motion or stop, during
their replacement without using the protective gloves as indicated in this instruction
booklet (par. 17) or if during working cycles or maintenance there are more persons
(except operator) as specifically forbidden at par. 13 of this instruction booklet
5 - Risk due to the presence of power supply on the machine

3.7 - Segnali di sicurezza e informazione

oppure siano state rimosse, sostituirle immediatamente. Non

na
d-Targhette metallicheedadesive:Informazionisuirischiresidui della macchina
3.7 - Safety and information markings:
Markings or pictograms that describe safety recommendations must not be removed
- covered or damaged.
In case metal plates-labels are illegible or have been removed, they
must be replaced immediately. Do not use the machine if one or
more plates are not present on the machine.
On the machine the following metal plate and adhesive labels are present:
a - Label with general warnings
b - Metal plates: Concerning machine characteristics and blade rotation
c - Metal plates: With information and warnings of relevant energy source on the
machine
d - Metal plates and labels: with information on relevant residual risks on the
machine
