••Ensure that the power source to be used
is the same as the voltage requirements
of the product.
••Bread may burn, therefore this toaster
must not be used near or below curtains
or other combustible material and it must
be supervised at all times when in use.
Keep appliance clear of walls and other
heat sensitive materials. Minimum
200mm distance.
••Always switch the power off at the outlet
and then remove the plug before
attempting to move the appliance, when
the appliance is not being used and
before cleaning or storing.
••Place the appliance on a dry, level surface.
••Do not touch hot surfaces. Use side areas
for lifting and carrying the appliance.
••ever immerse the power supply cord or
appliance in water or any form of liquid.
••At no time should the appliance be left
unattended during toasting.
••This appliance is not intended for use
by young children or infirm persons
without supervision.
••Close supervision is required at all times
when operating the appliance near children.

••Ensure that bread to be toasted is the
correct size for the toaster and does not
protrude above the bread slice opening
and is not too thick or long that it will jam
or wedge the bread carriage.

plugged into the mains or while hot. Do not
place cold toast on top of toasting slots to
warm toast as this may prevent correct air
circulation and damage the appliance.
••The installation of a residual current
device (safety switch) is recommended to
provide additional safety protection when
using electrical appliances. It is advisable
that a safety switch with a rated residual
operating current not exceeding 30mA be
installed in the electrical circuit supplying
the appliance. See your electrician for
professional advice.

1. Insert the power plug into a 230/240 volt
power outlet and then turn the power on.
2. Place up to 4 slices of bread or muffins
into the bread slots. For one or two slices
always place in the front two bread slots.
See fig 1.
3. Select the desired browning setting, from
o.1 to o.6 on the browning control
knob. ( o.1 - lightest, o.6 - darkest).
When using the toaster for the first time,
we suggest you toast on setting o.3.
Varying types of bread and personal
preference may require a different
browning setting, eg. Raisin toast and
white light-textured breads may require a
lower setting, whilst heavier textured rye
breads may require a darker setting.
The toasting cycle will automatically
commence.
4. The toaster turns off when the desired
toast colour is achieved and automatically
raises the toast. The toasting process can
be stopped at any time by pressing the
CA CEL button.

If the toaster is not

HIGH LIFT
To remove smaller items such as crumpets and
muffins, lift the high lift lever approximately
20mm above the starting position.
TOASTING C UMPETS
This function adjusts heating elements to
perfectly toast golden crumpets without
burning the bottom.
To toast crumpets, place them into the
front two toasting slots with the top facing
inwards as marked on the toaster. Lower the
high lift lever until it clicks into place.
The crumpet control setting
is activated by pressing the
crumpet button.
A small indicator light will
illuminate to confirm that the crumpet
setting has been activated.
This setting when activated adjusts the
heating elements to produce additional heat
to the centre elements to cook the top of
your crumpet faster than the bottom.
TOASTING F OZEN B EAD
To toast frozen bread, place the bread into
the bread slots, select the desired browning
setting, press the carriage
control lever down until it
clicks into place and then
press the Defrost Button.
A small indicator light will illuminate to
confrim the defrost setting has been activated.

Crumpets can only be
toasted, using the Crumpet
Control Setting, in the front
two toasting slots. The
toaster always reverts back
to the bread toast setting
after each toasting cycle,
unless the crumpet control
setting is activated again.
In the unlikely event that
the bread, crumpets or
muffins become jammed,
switch the power off at the
power outlet. emove the
power plug from the power
outlet and then carefully
ease the bread out of the
toaster, ensuring that you
do not damage the element.

The crumb trays should be cleaned
regularly. Do not allow breadcrumbs to
accumulate in the bottom of the toaster.
1. Always switch the power off at the outlet
and then remove the plug before cleaning
your toaster.
2. To remove any crumbs from the toaster,
slide out the crumb tray from under the
toaster, empty and replace it in the
toaster before using again.
3. Wipe the outside of the toaster with a
slightly dampened cloth and polish with a
soft dry cloth.
4. To clean the interior, turn the toaster
upside down over the sink and shake
crumbs free.

Always switch off, at the power outlet and
then unplug the appliance from the power
outlet before cleaning.
