• Do not place lantern in water. Keep all components dry and
out of water at all times.
• Do not allow children to handle or operate this lantern.
• Do not operate in close proximity of combustible or
flammable materials.
• Do not attempt to operate lantern if cord, plug, bulb or any
part of the lantern is damaged or corroded.
• Do not use this product for other than its intended use.
• Only use AC charger and DC lighter plug that are provided
with the lantern or their replacements.
• A damaged battery can leak acid. Avoid contact with eyes
and skin. If contact occurs, flush immediately with large
amounts of water. DO NOT ingest. If contact with eyes or
ingestion occurs, consult physician immediately.

Step 1: Turn function selector to L.E.D. position for L.E.D. operation.
Step 2: Turn function selector to FLUORESCENT position for FLUORESCENT
operation.
Step 3: Turn function selector to FLUORESCENT + L.E.D. position for
FLUORESCENT + L.E.D. operation.
Step 4: Turn lantern to OFF / RECH. when not in use or recharging the lantern.
L.E.D. MODE
The Camping Lantern in L.E.D. mode will run for approximately 80 hours on fully
charged battery.
FLUORESCENT
The Camping Lantern in FLUORESCENT mode will run for approximately 6 hours
on fully charged battery.
FLUORESCENT + L.E.D. MODE
The Camping Lantern in FLUORESCENT + L.E.D. mode will run for approximately
5.5 hours on fully charged battery.

To Replace Bulb
Only use fluorescent bulbs that are designed for the Brinkmann
Rechargeable Fluorescent & L.E.D. Camping Lantern as a
replacement. Use of any other bulb may result in poor performance
and may damage your lantern.
Step 1: Remove the retaining nut on the top of the lantern.
Step 2: Remove the top cap of the lantern.
Step 3: Remove the inner cap by turning it counterclockwise.
Step 4: Pull the fluorescent tube out of the lantern.
Step 5: Replace a new fluorescent tube by inserting it into lantern.
Step 6: Close and secure the inner cap by turning it clockwise.
Step 7: Replace the top cap by aligning the center hole of the top cap with
the center screw.
Step 8: Firmly secure the retaining nut back in place.

To Replace Battery
Only use batteries that are designed for the Brinkmann Rechargeable
Fluorescent & L.E.D. Camping Lantern as a replacement. Use of any
other battery may result in poor performance and may damage your
lantern.
Step 1: Twist the base cap to the OPEN position.
Step 2: Pull the lead acid battery away from the battery compartment.
Step 3: Disconnect the battery from connectors
by holding the connector fimly with fingers then pulling wire
straight out.
Step 4: Connect the new battery with appropriate positive (red) or negative
(black) connectors.
Step 5: Replace the battery back into battery compartment.
Step 6: Twist the base cap firmly to the CLOSED position.

Step 1: Make sure function selector is in OFF/RECH. position.
Step 2: Plug the solar panel, DC charger/adapter or AC charger into the
socket located in back of the lantern as illustrated.
Step 3: For Solar Panel Charger:
Select a location with full, direct sunlight. Shady locations will not
allow the battery to charge fully and will reduce the hours of
nighttime light. Solar panel will fully charge battery in approximately
15 hours.
For DC Charger/Adapter:
Plug the other end of the DC charger/adapter into a cigarette lighter
receptacle. DC charger/adapter will fully charge battery in
approximately 8 hours.
For AC Charger:
Plug the other end of the AC charger into a wall outlet. AC charger
will fully charge battery in approximately 8 hours.
Step 4: Do not charge battery for more than 24 hours.
Note: LED indicator on back of lantern turns off automatically when battery
is fully charged.

Tips to Avoid Damage
to Your Lantern
• The lantern is weather resistant. It is not waterproof. Do not use the lantern
under water or store outdoors.
• Only use bulbs designed for the Brinkmann Rechargeable Fluorescent &
L.E.D. Camping Lantern. Use of any other bulb may result in poor
performance and may damage your lantern.
• After months of use, cigarette lighters can build up corrosion that may
prevent the DC lighter plug from making good contact. It may be necessary
to clean the inside of your cigarette lighter receptacle with a fine emery
cloth. Before cleaning receptacle, remove the fuse to prevent it from
shorting out.
The hanger allows lantern to hang while in use or during storage.

Paso 1: Gire el selector de función a la posición L.E.D. para el
funcionamiento del diodo luminiscente.
Paso 2: Gire el selector de función a la posición FLUORESCENT para el
funcionamiento con el tubo fluorescente.
Paso 3: Turn function selector to FLUORESCENT + L.E.D. position for
FLUORESCENT + L.E.D. operation.

El farol para acampar en modo FLUORESCENT + L.E.D. se mantendrá encendido
aproximadamente 5,5 horas cuando batería esta completamente cargada.

Sólo utilice tubos fluorescentes diseñados para el Farol para
acampar recargable, fluorescente y con diodo luminiscente
Brinkmann como repuestos. El uso de cualquier otro tubo
fluorescente puede producir un rendimiento inferior y dañar el farol.
Paso 1: Quite la tuerca de retención en el extremo superior del farol.
Paso 2: Retire la tapa superior del farol.
Paso 3: Retire la tapa interior girándola en sentido contrahorario.
Paso 4: Saque el tubo fluorescente del farol.
Paso 5: Instale un tubo fluorescente nuevo en el farol.
Paso 6: Cierre y sujete la tapa interior girándola en sentido horario.
Paso 7: Reinstale la tapa superior alineando el agujero central con el tornillo
central.
Paso 8: Coloque y apriete bien la tuerca de retención.

Para reemplazar la batería
Sólo utilice baterías diseñadas para el Farol para acampar
recargable, fluorescente y con diodo luminiscente Brinkmann como
repuestos. El uso de cualquier otra batería puede producir un
rendimiento inferior y dañar el farol.
Paso 1: Gire la tapa de la base a la posición OPEN (abierta).
Paso 2: Retire la batería de ácido de plomo del compartimiento.
Paso 3: Desconecte los conectores de la batería sujetando el conector
firmemente con los dedos y retirando el cable.
Paso 4: Conecte la batería nueva con los conectores positivo (rojo) o
negativo (negro) apropiados.
Paso 5: Reinstale la batería en el compartimiento.
Paso 6: Gire la tapa de la base firmemente a la posición CLOSED (cerrada).

Consejos para evitar dañar el
farol
• El farol está intemperizado. No es impermeable. No use el farol bajo el
agua ni lo guarde al aire libre.
• Sólo use tubos fluorescentes diseñados para el farol para acampar
recargable fluorescente y con diodo luminiscente Brinkmann. El uso de
cualquier otro tubo fluorescente puede producir un rendimiento inferior y
dañar el farol.
• Después de meses de uso, los encendedores de cigarrillos pueden
acumular corrosión que impediría que el enchufe hiciese buen contacto.
Puede ser necesario limpiar el interior del receptáculo del encendedor con
una tela esmeril fina. Antes de limpiar el receptáculo, quite el fusible para
evitar que se produzca un cortocircuito.

For 1-year from date of purchase, The Brinkmann Corporation warrants the Rechargeable Fluorescent & L.E.D. Camping Lantern against
defects due to workmanship or materials to the original purchaser. The Brinkmann Corporation’s obligations under this warranty are limited to
the following guidelines:
• This warranty does not extend to the bulb or batteries.
• This warranty does not cover lanterns that have been altered or damaged due to: normal wear, abuse, improper maintenance, improper
use, disassembly of parts and/or attempted repair by anyone other than an authorized employee of The Brinkmann Corporation.
• This warranty does not cover surface scratches or weathering as this is considered normal wear.
• Warranty service is limited to repair or replacement of lanterns which prove defective under normal use and which upon examination shall
indicate to Brinkmann’s satisfaction, they are defective. If Brinkmann confirms the defect and approves the claim, Brinkmann will elect to
repair or replace the lantern as covered by the terms of this warranty.
• This warranty extends to the original purchaser only and is not transferable or assignable to subsequent purchasers.
The Brinkmann Corporation requires reasonable proof of purchase. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you retain your sales receipt
or invoice. To obtain repair or replacement of your Rechargeable Fluorescent & L.E.D. Camping Lantern under the terms of this warranty,
please call Customer Service Department at 1-800-527-0717 for a Return Authorization Number and further instructions. A receipt will be
required. A Return Authorization Number must be clearly marked on the outside of the box. Lanterns returned to Brinkmann must
include your name, address and telephone number. Please make sure the light is properly packed, postage prepaid, and insured. The
Brinkmann Corporation will not be responsible for any lanterns forwarded to us without a Return Authorization Number.
EXCEPT AS ABOVE STATED, THE BRINKMANN CORPORATION MAKES NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY.
THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO 1-YEAR FROM
THE DATE OF PURCHASE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE
