be kept at 145-160°F or h gher for food safety; 70 s the lowest sett ng

12. To switch the unit OFF, tu n the tempe atu e dial to 0. Unplug the unit f om
the elect ical socket to isolate the steame f om the elect ical supply. Unplug
unit when not in use, when filling, and when cleaning.
TIPS
1. Fo flavo va iation, you may substitute bee , wine, o b oth fo the wate
when steaming, o put seasonings in the wate . Example: hot dogs o sausages
steamed with bee .
2. Steam cooking is not an exact science...Time fo the wate o othe liquid to
sta t steaming va ies based on a numbe of va iables: tempe atu e of the
liquid at sta t, quantity of liquid used, altitude of steaming location, etc.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Tu n the tempe atu e dial to 0 to switch the unit OFF. Unplug the unit f om
the elect ical socket to isolate the steame f om the elect ical supply. Allow
the unit to cool.
2. The stainless steel steam basket and steam basket divide inse t a e
dishwashe safe.
3. The exte io of the unit is stainless steel. DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE
CLEANERS. DO NOT IMMERSE UNIT IN WATER. Imme sion will damage
the unit and void the wa anty.
4. Do not clean the unit with a high p essu e jet sp ay.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
To educe the isk of pe sonal inju y o p ope ty damage when using
elect ical appliances, basic safety p ecautions should always be followed,
including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.
2. Do not touch hot su faces! Always use hot pads o pot holde s until unit cools.
3. To p otect against elect ical shock, do not imme se base, co d o plug in wate
o othe liquid.
4. Close supe vision is necessa y when any appliance is used by o nea child en.
5. Unplug f om outlet when not in use and befo e cleaning. Allow to cool
completely befo e putting on o taking off pa ts, and befo e cleaning o sto ing
the appliance.
6. Do not ope ate any appliance with a damaged co d o plug o afte the
appliance malfunctions o has been damaged in any manne .

13. Do not clean with metal scou ing pads. They can sc atch and uin the finish
of you unit. Pieces can also b eak off the pad and touch elect ical pa ts,
c eating a shock haza d.
14. DO NOT OPERATE THIS FOOD STEAMER WITHOUT WATER OR OTHER
LIQUID. It will damage the elements and void the wa anty.
15. Use you steame fo p epa ing food. It is not designed fo any othe pu pose.

NOTE: A sho t powe supply co d (o co d set) has been p ovided to educe
the haza ds esulting f om becoming entangled in o t ipping ove a longe co d.
Longe co d sets o extension co ds may be used if ca e is p ope ly exe cised
in thei use. If a long co d set o extension co d is used, the ma ked elect ical
ating of the co d set o extension co d should be at least as g eat as the elect ical
ating of the appliance. The longe co d should be a anged so that it will not
d ape ove the counte top o table top whe e it can be pulled on by child en o
pets o t ipped ove accidentally.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. This unit is equipped with a g ounded, 3-p onged comme cial plug. Fo safety,
this plug MUST be connected to a 3 p onged outlet. Befo e connecting powe ,
make su e the outlets voltage and f equency co espond to the data plate on
the ange (120 volts/60hz.)
2. Clean the unit tho oughly befo e initial use. (See Cleaning Inst uctions.)
3. Use with WET HEAT ONLY!!! Add up to a MAXIMUM of 2 gallons/ 8 quarts
water o othe liquid into the aluminum wate well. Actual water well amount
required depends on how long you intend to keep the steamer running (i.e.,
one batch vs. several batches of food.) It is possible to steam a whole meal
using as little as 2 3 cups of water, depending on the quantity of food, food
type, and cooking time required. Liquid for steaming should not be higher than
the bottom of the steam basket insert. IGNORE THE MAX FILL LINE on the
inside of the steam basket.
DO NOT RUN THIS UNIT WITH THE WATER WELL EMPTY!!! Us ng th s
un t w thout water or other l qu d n the well results n damage to the
elements and w ll VOID THE WARRANTY. Make sure to check the water
well per od cally wh le n use, and add water whenever necessary to
avo d allow ng the well to go dry. (A secur ty shut-off thermostat w ll
shut the un t off when water s exhausted. However, the un t w ll then
cont nue to cycle on and off unt l shut OFF or unplugged.)
4. The tempe atu e cont ol knob will adjust the tempe atu e f om 0 = OFF to
100 = 212°F = boiling. We recommend always us ng sett ngs 70-80 or
h gher for food safety.
5. To begin, put liquid in the well, place lid on the unit*, and tu n cont ol knob to
100 until steam is p oduced.
6. The light will glow when the unit is tu ned on, and will go on and off du ing
ope ation to indicate the the mostat powe ing up o down to maintain set
tempe atu e.
7. Place food in the steam basket. *Do not place the filled steam basket into the
well until the unit has been p eheated and steam is being p oduced, in o de
to accu ately time you steaming. You food p oduct should ALWAYS be placed
in the steam basket inse t and NEVER placed di ectly in the wate well.
8. A emovable divide inse t is included fo placing in you steam basket if you
choose to keep 2 types of food sepa ate du ing steaming. It fits snugly into
the steam basket, and divides the steam basket in half; just push it in.
9. IMPORTANT! FOR SAFETY:
-ALWAYS use hot mitts o pot holde when lifting lid while steam is being
p oduced. Long sleeved oven mitts a e suggested. Steam can scald you quickly
if you a e not ca eful.
- ALWAYS tilt lid up f om the back of the unit when lifting it so that the steam
ises to the back of the unit, away f om you face.
-When emoving the lid, allow the condensed hot wate inside the lid to d ip
back into the steame and not onto the floo .
-Neve move o ca y the steame when it is switched on, and/o when
containing hot foods o liquids.
10. Leave knob at 100 to maintain steam until food is cooked. Once the food is
cooked, you may tu n knob to lowe settings (70-90 as equi ed) fo on/off
steaming, p oviding a keep-wa m featu e. NOTE: D ippings f om some foods
may cause the boiling liquid to bubble up into the steam basket du ing
