Product Overview
The Bronson CL series is intended as a product for electrical installations where
initial starting current draws can be excessive and need to be reduced. It can
be used as a solution for installations that trip circuit breakers when rst powered
up due to large inrush current loads from electrical motors, various industrial
equipment, long cable runs, large transformers, etc. Also it can be of helpful
to overcome issues with Solar Inverters and UPS backup systems that can
switch off into overcurrent protection modes due to an initial startup current
from a connected device.

Bronson CL soft starters will work for application loads up to 50Amps
Initial starting current of motors and other high inrush current applications will be reduced to prevent
overloading fuses and circuit breakers and pushing UPS or Solar Inverter equipment into overcurrent
protection mode
Easy installation - includes an EU Shuko type socket for connection to household appliances up to 16A
Reduced mechanical stress on motors by gradually scaling the starting current to limit the torsional
forces upon startup

The Bronson CL series are intended for indoor use in normal avoid high heat and humidity
where possible. Install in an area that is out of direct sunlight and free from dust and water.
An EU Schuko output socket is for loads less than 16A.
For larger loads (up to 30A for the CL-30 model - or up to 50A for the CL-50 model) the
terminal connections must be used.

CAUTION: Ensure that the Line, Neutral, and Ground lines are correctly connected to your
CL device - failure to do so can cause damage to your CL device and the connected
equipment - if you have any doubt about the proper wiring then contact a professional installer.
Warning: Electrical Shock Hazard
Do not install in a location where people can easily touch the device. Repair, and
maintenance must be performed by qualied personnel. Do not attempt to open the
soft starter while it is connected to live electrical connection. The user is
responsible for compliance with all international and national electrical code
requirements with respect to grounding of all equipment.
