The lightning flash with arrow-head symbol within an equilateral triangle
is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous
voltage” within the unit’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude
to constitute a risk of electric shock.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert
the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance
(servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the unit.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
All the safety and operating instructions should be read, adhered to and followed
before the unit is operated.
1. Read these instructions.

5. Do not use this unit near water.
6. Clean only with a dry cloth.
7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions.
8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves,
or other unit (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug.
A polarized plug has two blades, with one wider than the other. A grounding-
type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the
third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into
your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at
plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where it exits from the unit.
11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

12. Unplug this unit during lightning storms or when unused for long
periods of time.
13. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when
the unit has been damaged in any way, including if the power-supply cord or
plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the unit,
the unit has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally,
or has been dropped.
Note:
1. The unit shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing liquids.
2. Main plug is used as disconnect device and it should remain readily
operable during intended use. In order to disconnect the unit from the
power completely, the main plug should be disconnected from the main
socket outlet completely.

SET-UP AND OPERATION
AC POWER
Connect the DC Adapter to a power outlet and
the DC IN on the Retro Clock.
CONNECTING YOUR iPod/iPhone
TO THE RETRO CLOCK
Select the correct iPod/iPhone CLIP for your
iPod/iPhone and slide it securely into the docking
area on the front of the unit (see the example to
the right).
Slide the CLIP down onto the CLIP DOCK.
Slide your iPod/iPhone down through the CLIP and securely on the
30-PIN CONNECTOR.
PLAYING YOUR iPod/iPhone
1. Dock your iPod/iPhone.
2. Adjust the volume using the + or — buttons.

USING THE APP (free download from App StoreSM)
The app includes alarm clock, weather forecast and more.
When you dock your iPod/iPhone in the unit, a pop-up
asking if you’d like to download the free iDesign®Retro Alarm
Clock app will appear.
You may also go directly to the iTunes®App StoreSM
to download the iDesign®Retro Alarm Clock app.
Note: For all compatible iPod/iPhone devices the
OS must be 3.1.2 or later to work with the app.

Swipe Left/Right to go to:
Double tap on screen to activate a split screen.
Swipe left/right to change screens.
Double tap to return to full screen.
Horizontal orientation will automatically show a split screen.
Touch to access Wall Paper settings.
