Important Information
BatteryInstallation
When batterypowergetstoolow,pleasechange keyboardormouse
batteriesaccordingtofollowinginstructions:
1.Openthebatterycompartmentcoveronthe bottomofthe
keyboardandmouse.
2.Followthe indication insidetoplaceinkeyboardandmouse
batteries.
3.PlacethebatterycompartmentcoverbackandproceedwithID
settingofthedevices.
Important:
ØWerecommendusingalkalinebatteriesforalongerbatterylife.
ØAlways change batterieswhen batterylowicon appears.

mousewill finallyfree youoftheconstraintsofyourdesktop byproviding awirelessconnection
betweenyourkeyboard/mouseandyourPC.Passaround thekeyboardormouseduring
meetingswithouthavingtobotheraboutacableblockingyourwayorwritee-mailsandsurfthe
Internetfromthecomfort ofyourliving roomcouch!
Thiskeyboardandmousekitconsistsofakeyboard,amouseandareceiver.The receiveris
connected toyourPCthrough acablewithbothakeyboardandmouseconnector.The keyboard
and mousecan operatefreelywithinaradiusofatleast3.28 feet(about1meter)fromthe
receiver,whichitselfhasamaximumrange fromyourPCofaround3.28 feet(about1meter).
Becausethekeyboardandmouseuseradiofrequenciestotransmit thewireless signal,it hasno
constrictionsonviewing anglessuchaswithinfrared deviceslikeyourTV sremotecontrol,etc.
Besidesproviding unprecedentedfreedomofmovementwhenoperating the keyboardormouse,

Just directlyplugthereceiver sUSB connectorintoPCUSB port.
1.Takethe keyboardandmakesurethebatteriesontheback areinstalledcorrectly.
(Followthepolaritysignsinthebatterycompartment.)
2.Takethe mouseand makesurethebatterieson the backareinstalled correctly.
(Followthepolaritysignsinthebatterycompartment.)
3.TurnonyourPC,andPCsystemwouldauto-detectivethisRFkeyboardkit.
Remarks:
1.Boththekeyboardandmouseuse2pcsstandardUM-3(AA)1.5V alkaline batteries.

3.Makesurethereceiverisplacedinalocation relativelyfreeof strong electromagnetic
ortransmission sourcesinordertoensureoptimalreceptionofthe keyboardand
mousesignal.
ØDetachable Palmrest
Atyourdiscretion,you maychoosetoconnectthepalmrest withkeyboard.
Detachthepalmrestfromup todown( )direction,when thepalmrestisset, aclicksound
wouldbeheard.
ØIDSetting
Thiswirelessopticalmousecontains256setsID.The ID-recognitionfunctionhelpsto
protect againstinterferencefromotherRFproductsinthesameenvironment. Rememberto
resetIDwhenotherRFproductsaffectyourkeyboardkit.
wThe IDbuttonlocatesonthetop ofthereceiverwithaLEDundertoshowthe
connectingcondition.
wThe mouseshouldbeabletoworkafteryoufirstinstallit. Ifitcan twork,pleasefollow
the stepsbelowtoprocessIDsettingofthismouse.
1.Firstly, pressthe IDbuttonon thebottomofthe mouseonce.

2.Next,pressthe IDbuttononthetopofthereceiveronce.
3.ThenpresstheIDbutton onthebottomofthekeyboardonce.
Note: Thewholeprocedureshouldbecomplete within 25 seconds.
Remarks:
1. You mustfollowtheprocedureabovetosettheID. Oncethe receiverIDbutton is
pressedyou have25 secondstocompletetheentireprocess,oryouwillneed tobegin
again.
2.Whenthereceiverisplugged in,theLEDunderthe receiverIDbutton willflash.Oncethe
IDisset, it willremainsteadilylit.
3.Whenchangingthebatteriesofkeyboardormouse, pleaseproceed IDsetting(mouse→
receiverorkeyboard→receiver)againtoensuretheusageofthiskeyboardkit.

ØUSBDeviceDriver
The USB devicedriverisincluded inWindowssystem.
When the firsttimeyoupluginthe USBmouse,thesystemwillautomaticallydetectanew
hardwareconnectedandthenbringup "AddNewHardwareWizard"dialoguebox.Please
followtheWizard'sUSBdriverinstallationsteps.Oncethisinstallation stepiscompleted the
basicfunctionsof themousewill workunderthe operatingsystem.
ØKeyMaestro InputDeviceDriver
1.Insert theCDlabeled"KeyMaestroInput DeviceDriver"intoyourCD-ROM.
2.Run"SetupKey.exe"inthedriverCD.
3.Followtheon-screen instructiontoinstall the driver.
4.The defaultinstallationpathisset to c:\Program Files\KMaestro.Youhavetheoption
tochange the install pathduring setup.
5.The drivericon will showon Windowssystemtraywhenthe driverisloaded.
ØLEDIndication
NumLock: KeyMaestrodrivericonwillshowas when pressing NumLockbutton.
CapsLock: KeyMaestrodrivericonwill showas whenpressingCapsLockbutton.
Scroll Lock: KeyMaestrodrivericon willshowas when pressingScroll Lockbutton.
ØBatteryLowIndication
wByHardware:
WhentheLEDunderreceiverIDbuttonflashesbutthereisno transmissionbetween
receiver&keyboardormouse,pleasecheck the situationunderandchange
keyboardormousebatteries.Pleasepreparebatteriesandchangethemwhen
keyboardormousecan ttransmit signals.
1.Mousebatterylow:
When bothLEDindicatorsunderreceiverIDbuttonflashesand mousescroll
wheelflash,meansmousebatteriesarelow.
2.Keyboardbatterylow:
wWhentheLEDunderreceiverIDbutton flashesbuttheLEDundermouse
scrollwheeldoesn t flash,meanskeyboardbatteriesarelow.
wIftheLEDunderreceiverIDbutton stillflashesafterchangingmouse
batteries, meanskeyboardbatteriesarelow.

wBySoftware:
1.Whenkeyboardbatteriesarelow,thebatterylowicon will showon the
right-bottomcornerontheWindowstaskbar.
2.Whenmousebatteriesarelow,thebatterylowicon will showonthe
right-bottomcornerontheWindowstaskbar.
Note: Afterchanging newbatteries, batterylowicon or willdisappear.

UsingtheKeyboard
Besidestheusualkeys,thiskeyboardalsohasextra-dedicated keys,whichprovidemultimedia,
Internet, andOfficefunctions.
Thesehotkeysarereprogrammable,except VolumeDown/UpandMute. Theycanbe
configuredasastring,acombinationkey,awebsite,anexistingfile,orafunction thedriver
pre-definesforyou.Toreconfigurethesekeys,clickKeyMaestroicon onWindowssystemtrayto
select "CommandsintheMenu."
Inordertousethesekeys underWindows®95 andWindows®98,itisnecessarytohave
"KeyMaestroInput DeviceDriver"installed.
