mousewill finallyfree youoftheconstraintsofyourdesktop byproviding awirelessconnection
betweenyourkeyboard/mouseandyourPC.Passaround thekeyboardormouseduring
meetingswithouthavingtobotheraboutacableblockingyourwayorwritee-mailsandsurfthe
Internetfromthecomfort ofyourliving roomcouch!
Thiskeyboardandmousekitconsistsofakeyboard,amouseandareceiver.The receiveris
connected toyourPCthrough acablewithbothakeyboardandmouseconnector.The keyboard
and mousecan operatefreelywithinaradiusofatleast3.28 feet(about1meter)fromthe
receiver,whichitselfhasamaximumrange fromyourPCofaround3.28 feet(about1meter).
Becausethekeyboardandmouseuseradiofrequenciestotransmit thewireless signal,it hasno
constrictionsonviewing anglessuchaswithinfrared deviceslikeyourTV sremotecontrol,etc.
Besidesproviding unprecedentedfreedomofmovementwhenoperating the keyboardormouse,
the kit alsooffersmoreextrafunctionalitybyintroducingdedicatedbuttonsforoften usedInternet
browserfunctions.(Pleasenote: TheInternetkeysworkonlyunderMicrosoftâInternet Explorer

Remarks:
1. You mustfollowtheprocedureabovetosettheID. Oncethe receiverIDbutton is
pressedyou have25 secondstocompletetheentireprocess,oryouwillneed tobegin
again.
2.Whenthereceiverisplugged in,theLEDunderthe receiverIDbutton willflash.Oncethe
IDisset, it willremainsteadilylit.

The USB devicedriverisincluded inWindowssystem.
When the firsttimeyoupluginthe USBmouse,thesystemwillautomaticallydetectanew
hardwareconnectedandthenbringup "AddNewHardwareWizard"dialoguebox.Please
followtheWizard'sUSBdriverinstallationsteps.Oncethisinstallation stepiscompleted the
basicfunctionsof themousewill workunderthe operatingsystem.
ØKeyMaestro InputDeviceDriver
1.Insert theCDlabeled"KeyMaestroInput DeviceDriver"intoyourCD-ROM.
2.Run"SetupKey.exe"inthedriverCD.
3.Followtheon-screen instructiontoinstall the driver.
4.The defaultinstallationpathisset to c:\Program Files\KMaestro.Youhavetheoption
tochange the install pathduring setup.

keyboardormousecan ttransmit signals.

UsingtheKeyboard
Besidestheusualkeys,thiskeyboardalsohasextra-dedicated keys,whichprovidemultimedia,
Internet, andOfficefunctions.
Thesehotkeysarereprogrammable,except VolumeDown/UpandMute. Theycanbe
configuredasastring,acombinationkey,awebsite,anexistingfile,orafunction thedriver
pre-definesforyou.Toreconfigurethesekeys,clickKeyMaestroicon onWindowssystemtrayto
select "CommandsintheMenu."

Commands intheMenu
Ifyouright-clickon KeyMaestroicon ontaskbar,amenuwillpopup withthefollowing
commands.
ØConfigure
Click onthiscommand,acustomizationdialogue boxwill popupwithfollowingfunctions.
1.SelectaHotkey
Thisfunctioncontainsthedefaultfunctionofakey.You canclick on"DisplayLabel"to
re-definethekeyfunctions.Whenyouclick it, aConfigureButtonboxwillappear.
*Label
In"ButtonLabel"box,type the nameofapplication thatthebuttonwill launch,orany
namethatwill helpyourememberthe functionofthe button. Thislabelwill appearon
screeneachtimeyoupress the button.
*Functions
Youcanseealistofpre-definedfunctionsand set one ofitforthe button.
*LaunchApplicationorWebsite
Typeinthepathtoanoften-usedapplication orclicktheBrowsebutton toselectany
fileinyourcomputer.Ifyou wanttoattachaweb page tothebutton,justsimplytype in
thewebsiteaddressinthedialoguebox.
*CombinationKey
InmanyWindowsapplication,therearemanyhotkeystoexecutesomeoften-used
commands.Someofthehotkeys arecombined withtwokeys pressedsimultaneously,
andsomearethree.It isnot easytopressand torememberthosehotkeys.Nowyou
can definethosecomplicated hotkeysyou alwaysforgot.Anykindofcombination is
available. Forexample,
[Alt] +[F4]=closewindow,
[Ctrl]+[A]=selectall.

Youmaydefinethe buttonasastringoftextsthatneedstobeinputoften.The
maximumcharactersare500. Takinggoodadvantagesofthisfunctioncan savemuch
yourtextinputtimeand makesyourworksmoreefficient.
2.EnableDisplay Label
ThiscommandistoshoworhideOSD(OnScreen Display).When OSDisenabled,
eachtimeyoupressanyoneofthemultimediabuttons,itsfunction name(buttonlabel)
will showontheright-bottomcorneron thescreen. Thedefaultofthisfunctionisenabled.
3.EnableTaskbarIcon
Thiscommandistoshoworhidetaskbardrivericon.Whenthe functionisenabled,you
cansee adrivericon itsfunctionname(buttonlabel)willshowontheright-bottom
cornerofthescreen.Ifyouwanttoreload itagain,you can selectStart=>Program=>
Configuretolaunchit. The defaultof thisfunctionisenabled.

4.EnableAutoPlay
Thiscommandistoshoworhide theautoplayfunction.Whenthefunctionisenabled,
Microsoft MediaPlayerwillshowonthescreenafteryoupress the “Play”keyofthe
multimediakeys. ForWinampuser,you can usethemultimediakeystocontrolWinamp
function afteryou calloutWinampanddisableAutoplayfunction.Thedefaultofthis
function isenabled.
ØExit
Selectthiscommandtoexitfromthisdriverprogram,butnottoremove(uninstall).After
you restart yoursystem,thedriverwill be loadedagain.
Incaseyouhavesometroublesoninstallingotherprograms,werecommendyoutoexit
thisInputDeviceDriverfirstlyinordertohaveacleanersystemenvironment.

Troubleshooting
If you areexperiencingproblemswithyourkeyboardormousepleasecheckthefollowing:
1.Makesurethereceiverconnectorisinsertedintotherightport.
2.Checktosee ifthebatteriesinthekeyboardand mouseareinstalledcorrectly.Makesure
thepolarityofthebatteriescorrespondswiththepolaritysignsinthebatterycompartment.
3.Replacethebatteriesontimetomakesurethe batteriesarenotlowinpower.After
replacing the batteriesofkeyboardormouse,pleasealsoremembertosetthe ID.Thereis
noneedtoresetall the ID s.Simplyresetoneofthem.
4.Pleaseremembertoset theIDwhenyourkeyboardkitsdonot workproperly.
5.Itisstronglyrecommended toplacethereceiverinfrontofthe monitorinordertoprevent
signaldisturbancefromthemonitor.
6.IfyourPCsystem sBIOS setuphasoptionsforthekeyboardormouse-makesuretheyare
settodefaultsettings.IfyouarenotfamiliarwiththeBIOS, refertoyourPC smanualfor
moreinformation.
7.Usethemouseonlyonaclean,flat, non-slipperysurfaceinordertoensuresmoothand
accuratecursoraction.
8.Keep all itemsawayfromdirectsunlight, moisture, dirt,extremeheat andabrasivechemical
(cleaning)solutions.
9.Shouldthe receiver,thekeyboardormousebecomeaccidentallyimmersed orsplashedby
liquids,switchoffyourPCimmediately,unplugallitemsandrefertoyourdealerforfurther
assistance.Inthesecasespleaserefrainfromusinganyoftheitemsbeforeconsultingwith
yourdealer!
10.Theenhancefunctionkeys(embedded officekeys)donotwork
It willgivethe F1-F12 keys newfunctionsifthe F-Lock LEDindicatorison.Thenew
functionscan supportunderMicrosoftOffice(Microsoft Outlook,Word,Excel,andPower
Point),IEandothernewerapplicationsalmost.Ifthenewenhancefunctionkeysareused
underanyolderversionsorotherapplications,unexpectedresultsmayoccurorsome
enhancefunction keywillnotworkatall.However,inthemeantimeMicrosoft recommends
thatallsoftwareapplicationsshouldsupportMicrosoftshortcutcombinationkeys.We
recommendusingOffice2000, XP(2002)andIE5,IE6orlaterversions.
Oldersoftwareapplicationsthatdonot support enhancefunctionkeys(embed officekeys),
forexample:
ØApplicationssuchasNotepadorWordPaddonotinclude the “Redo”function and
thereforenot supportedbyembed “Redo”key.
ØThe embedded “Redo”keyfunction cannotsupport “repeatinputtext”whilstusing
Microsoft Excelonsomelanguageversions.Itjustsupports “commandRedo”function
(example:repeat redo Add line,row,cut,paste…).
ØSpecialSkillforgiving theenhancefunctionkeys (embedofficekeys )optimum
compatibility:
The different “MicrosoftOutlook”applicationversion requiredifferentshortcutkeysto
support,thisincaseyou havefoundthatsomeenhancefunctionkeysdonotworkin
“MicrosoftOutlook”.Youshouldchange thesetupfor “Microsoft Outlook”(mailformat)

thatwillgivetheenhancefunctionkeysoptimumcompatibility.Tochangethesetup,you
shouldproceedasfollows:
Click “MicrosoftOutlook”----“Tools”& “Options”andhighlightthemenu item “Use
MicrosoftWordtoeditemailmessages”.Click “OK”toclosethedialog box.The
“MicrosoftOutlook2000”setupscreenisshownbelowforreference.(TheMicrosoft
Outlook2002defaultishighlightedalready).Ontestingtheseenhancefunctionkeys
when the setupprocessiscompleted;theyshouldbefound tofunctionproperly.Ifthe
problemcannotbe fixed,youshouldgotoMicrosoftweb siteandfind the “Microsoft
Officeservicepack”foranupgrade.Recommend applicationsareOffice2000orOffice
2002(XP). TheOffice2000servicepack3&Office2002servicepack2havealreadybeen
released.
11.Theembedded SEND keyfunctiondoesnot work
InfewcaseandwithsomeEuropean languages,the SENDkeycannotworkin “Microsoft
Outlook2000orOutlook2002”whenthe MicrosoftOutlookmenuitem “UseMicrosoft
Word toeditemail messages”ishighlighted.ToassigntheshortcutkeyfortheSEND
function,you shouldcarryout the followingsteps:
1.Open “Microsoft Word”application andclickon “Tools”, “Customize”.

2.Click on “Commands”and “Keyboard”.
3.Select “AllCommands”from “Categories”and “EmailSend”from “Commands”.
Click andmovecursorto “Pressnewshortcutkey”blankareathen PresstheSEND
key(theSEND keybuildontheKeyboard,thatis;pleasemakesureKeyboard
officelock indicator isalreadyenabled).Youwill seethe “Ctrl+Return”or “Alt+S”
replaceblankareaafteryoupresstheSENDkey.Whenyouclick the “Assign”select
item,the “Ctrl+Return”or “Alt+S”willshowunder “Currentkeys”.

4.Click on “Close”and “Word”applicationtocompletethesetup process.Re-testthe
SENDkeyfunction under “Microsoft Outlook”;TheSENDkeyfunctionshouldnowbe
workingproperly.
Warning:Pleasedon tclick the “ResetAll”selectitem;oryou willloseall shortcutkey
functions.
Note:Itisthebestwayof usingtheSENDkey.Youshouldpress “Shift+Tab”toletthe
cursorjumpto “Subject”aftercompletingyouremailedit, andthenpressthe “SEND”
key.Otherwisethe “SEND”sometimesfailstowork.
Ifabovetroubleshootingsuggestionsstilldonotsolveyourproblemthenpleaserefertoyour
directdealerfortechnicalsupport.

FCCGUIDELINES
ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClass Bdigitaldevice,
pursuanttoPart 15of the FCC Rules.Theselimitsaredesignedtoprovide reasonableprotection
againstharmfulinterferenceinaresidentialinstallation. Thisequipment generates,usesandcan
radiateradiofrequencyenergyand,ifnotinstalled andused inaccordancewiththe instructions
maycauseharmfulinterferencetoradiocommunications.However,thereisnoguaranteethat
interferencewillnotoccurinaparticularinstallation.If thisequipmentdoescauseharmful
interferencetoradioortelevision reception,whichcanbedetermined byturningtheequipment
offand on,theuserisencouragedtotrytocorrecttheinterferencebyoneormoreofthe
followingmeasures:
wReorientorrelocatethe receiving antenna.
wIncreasetheseparationbetweentheequipment and receiver.
wConnecttheequipmentintoan outletonacircuitdifferentfromthattowhichthereceiveris
connected.
