SafetyWarnings and Precautions
WARNING: When assembling this product, basic safety precautions should
always be followed to reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to equip-
ment.
Read all instructions before assembling this bench!
1. Keep work area clean when assembling. Cluttered areas invite injuries.
2. Observe work area conditions during assembly. Do not use machines or
power tools in damp or wet locations. Keep work area well lit.
3. Supervise children. Children must never be allowed to play or climb on this
bench. Supervise children when they are sitting on this bench.
4. Use the right product for the job.The weight capacity of this bench is 500
lbs.(evenly distributed between the two seats). Do not attempt to overload this
bench.Never stand on the bench. Note:If weight is not evenly distributed or if
the bench is located on an uneven area the bench may become unstable and
tip over, resulting in possible personal injury. Do not modify this bench and do
not use this bench for a purpose for which it was not intended.
Caution:Be aware of dynamic loading! A sudden drop onto the Bench may
create for a brief instant, an excess load, which may result in damage to the
product and/or personal injury.
5. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry when assembling this
bench, as they can be caught in tools. Protective, electrically non-conductive
clothes and non-skid footwear are recommended when working. Wear
restrictive hair covering to contain long hair.
6. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times when
assembling this bench.

bly instructions, operating and maintenance procedures, parts list and diagram.
Keep your invoice with this manual. Write the invoice number on the inside of the
front cover. Keep the manual and invoice in a safe and dry place for future refer-
ence.

7. Stay alert. Watch what you are doing, use common sense when assembling
or using this product. Do not operate any tool when you are tired.
8. Check for damaged parts. Before assembling this product, any part that
appears damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate
properly and perform its intended function. Any part that is damaged should
be properly repaired or replaced. If parts are damaged or missing, contact
Harbor Freight Tools at the number listed on the front of this manual.
9. Do not attempt to assemble this product if under the influence of alcohol
or drugs. Read warning labels on prescriptions to determine if your judgment
orreflexesare impaired whiletaking drugs.Ifthere isanydoubt, donotattempt
to assemble this product.
10. Maintenance. For your safety, service and maintenance should be performed
regularly by a qualified technician to maintain this bench in a safe condition.

must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are
factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the
operator.
Insert the ends of the Beams (H) through
the slots in the Sides (E) and secure by
placing an Insert (I) through the slot in the
top of each Beam.

Assembly
Attach the 4 Bottom Crosspieces (B) be-
tween both Beams (H) using 8 Screws (K).

Unpacking
When unpacking, check to make sure all parts are included. See parts list
on page 6.
If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at
the number on the cover of this manual.

WARNING: Only use this bench on a flat, level and solid surface.
To assemble the Table Base:
Attach the Table Sides (A) to the Table
Crosspieces (C) using 4 Screws (K), as
shown above.

Line up the holes on the front legs of the
Table Base with the holes in the Beam (H).
InsertaBolt(J),andsecureusingaWasher
(L) and Nut.

Make sure the bench is properly as-
sembled,and sits evenlyona level surface.
Tighten all fasteners securely, being care-
ful not to damage the wood.

Placethealready-assembled Seats(G)and
TableTop(D)intotheirlocations. Makesure
that they are in the correct location and
stable before use.

Set the Seat Backs (F1, F2) with the longer
ends toward the inside.Line up the hole on
the bottom of long leg of each Seat Back
(F1, F2) with the hole in the Beam (H). In-
sert a Bolt (J), and secure using a Washer
(L) and Nut. Line up both holes on the out-
sideedge of theSeat Backwiththeholes in
the Side (E). Secure these as well, using
Bolts, Washers, and Nuts. Line up the re-
maining hole on the inside of the Seat Back
with the hole in the Table Side (A). Secure
this as well.

Maintenance
1. Do not expose this bench to prolonged sunlight or rain.Protect from exposure
to freezing rain or snow.When not in use, remove the seats and table top and
store in a shed or other location to protect them from the weather.
2. You may wanttorenewthe finish from time to time,using a good qualityoutdoor
paint or varnish.
3. Occasionally check the bolts and nuts to be sure they are securely fastened.
Umbrella Installation
The hole in the center of this Bench accommodates and helps to support
umbrellas with shafts up to 2” in diameter. (
Umbrella not included.
) Umbrellas
used with this Bench should always have a base supporting them securely.
The base must also be less than 20” in height, in order to avoid interfering with the
Bench. An example of an appropriate stand would be an item 90177 - Round
Weave Design Umbrella Stand available from Harbor Freight Tools.
