The smoke detector works according to the scattered light principle. It detects smoke particles floating in the air.
Therefore, ensure that air can at all times enter the lateral slats of the smoke detector unhindered.
The device responds early and reliably to smoldering fires and open fires with smoke.

5.2 State of the battery
5.2.1 6831-84
When the state of the battery reaches a critical value the device 'bleeps' briefly once every minute for at least 30
days. Replace the battery as soon as possible with a new one.
5.2.2 6832-84
Replace the device as soon as possible.
5.3 False alarm
If the alarm is triggered for no valid reason, press the test, mute button. This deactivates the warning signal for 10
minutes.

Find the correct installation site. Position the mounting plate
and fix it to the specified positions with dowels and screws.

Connect the battery with the battery clamps to supply the
device with power.

Position the bottom section of the device on the mounting
plate so that the two markings directly face each other.
Only for 6832-84
The battery is automatically connected by turning the device
on the base.

Caution
Test function!
The test function of the Busch-Smoke alarm can only be carried out after it has been mounted to
the ceiling.
- Batteries incorrectly inserted can interfere with the test function.
The smoke detectors must be tested immediately after
installation. Press the test button on every detector for 3
seconds to ensure that the detector functions.

At a later point in time the detectors should be tested at least once every week.
When the date on the label of the device has expired, the devices must be replaced.
The test button must be pressed when replacing the battery, to ensure that the alarm functions correctly.
