Beforeusing theappliance
•Beforeswitching on,placethe appliancein
an uprightposition and waitatleastthree
hourswithoutmovingthe appliance.Thiswill
givethefreezing circuittimetosettleand
operateefficiently.
•Clean the appliancethoroughly,especially
the interior,beforeuse(see Cleaning and
Maintenance).
•Installation ofthe applianceand electrical
connectionsmustbe carriedoutbya
qualified technician inaccordancewiththe
installation manualand localregulations.
•The procedureforinstallation the appliance
intothekitchenunitisgivenintheinstallation
section ofthismanual.Thisproductisonly
intended tobe used inproperkitchen units.
•Theappliancemustbe connectedwitha
properlyinstalledfusedsocket.Powersupply
(AC)andvoltage atthe operating pointmust
complywiththe detailson the nameplateof
the appliance(the nameplateislocated on
the inside-left ofthe appliance).

ground connection.Ifthe sockethasno

Information on theFrostFreeTechnology
FrostFree refrigeratorsaredifferent fromthe
otherstaticrefrigeratorsintermsofhowthey
work.
Innormalrefrigerators,inthefreezingsection,
thehumidityfromthefoodenteringthe
refrigeratorduringdoorswingscausesfrosting
inside the freezing section.Forremoving the
frost thathasbeen formed,it isnecessaryto
carryoutadefrostingprocess bypowering off
the refrigerator,takingoutthe foodthatneeds
tobe keptcoldduring thisprocess,removing
theaccumulatedfrost.
Frostfreerefrigerators,workinadifferentway.
Airiscirculated around boththe fridge and
freezercompartmentsbyafan.Thiskeepsall
food coolwhereveritisinthe applianceand
doesnotallowfrosting.

Coolingcompartment
•The thermostatautomaticallyregulatesthe
inside temperatureofthe appliance.By
rotatingtheknowfrompositions1to5,colder
temperaturescanbeobtained.
•The '0'position showsthatthe thermostatis
closed and no cooling isavailable.
•Forthe short-termstorage offood,setthe
knobbetweentheminimumandmedium
positions(1-3).
•Forthelong-termstorage offood,settheknob
tothemediumposition(3-4).
•Notethattheambienttemperature(the
temperatureofthe freshlystored food and
howoften the doorisopened)affectsthe
temperaturewithintheappliance,ifrequired
changethetemperaturesetting.
•When you first switchon the appliance, you
shouldideallyrun itwithoutanyfood for24
hoursand notopen the door.If you need to
useitstraight away,trynottoputtoo much
food inside.

wrapped.
•Toreducehumidityand avoidthe formation
offrost,neverplaceliquidsinunsealed
containersinthe refrigerator.
•Meatofall types,wrapped inpackages,is
recommendedtobeplacedontheglass shelf
justabovethevegetablebin,wheretheairis
colder.
•You can putfruitsand vegetablesintothe
crisperwithoutpackaging.
•Topreventcoldairescaping,trynottoopen
theappliancedoortoooftenanddonotleave
the dooropen forlong periods.
FreezerCompartment
The freezercompartmentisused forfreezing
freshfoodsandforstoringfrozenfoodsforthe
period oftimeindicatedon packaging,and for
making icecubes.
•Pleaseplacethefood youwouldliketofreeze
initiallyintheupperbasketofthedeepfreeze
insuchawaythatitshall notexceed the
declared freezing capacityofyourfreezer.
•Donotrefreezefrozen foodonceithasbeen
thawed.
•Donotplacehotfood inthe freezer.
•Whilestoring the frozen food,the storage
conditionsonthepackage shouldbe
observed.
•During aprolonged powercut, do notopen
thedoorofthefreezer.Yourfreezerwill
preserveyourfrozenfoodforabout12hours.
•Thepreventcoldairescaping trynottoopen
freezerdoortoo often and do notleavethe
dooropen forlong periods.

Cleaning and maintenance
General
Warning: Disconnectthe
appliancefromthepowersupply
beforecleaning.
•Toclean drycompartmentyou will firstneed
toremovethe lidbeforethecompartmentwill
be abletobe removed.
•Donotpourwateroverthe appliance.
•The lardercompartmentshouldbe cleaned
periodicallyusing asolution ofbicarbonate
ofsoda and lukewarmwater.
•Clean the accessoriesseparatelywithsoap
andwater.Donotputtheminthedishwasher.
•Donotuseabrasiveproducts,detergentsor
soaps.Afterwashing,rinsewithclean water
and drycarefully.When cleaning operations
havebeen completed,reconnecttheplug with
dryhands.
Defrosting
•Defrosting occursautomaticallyinthe larder
duringoperation.Thedefrostwateris
collectedbythe evaporatingtrayand
evaporatesautomatically.
•Thedefrostwaterdrainholeshouldbe
cleaned periodicallyalong withthe defrost
drainplugtopreventwaterfromcollectingon
the bottomofthe larderinstead offlowing
out.
•You can alsopour½glass ofwaterintothe
drainholetoclean itinside.
Replacing thelightbulb
1. Unplug the unitfromthe powersupply,
2. Removethe refrigeratorlightcover(A)by
pressing the hooks placed on bothsidesof
the cover.
3. Change the lightbulb(B)withanewone
(notmorethan15W).
4. Placethe lightcoverinitsplaceand plug
theunit.

Trouble Shooting
Ifyourrefrigeratorisnotworkingproperly,itmaybe aminorproblem,thereforecheckthe following.
IMPORTANTNOTES:
•Incaseofasuddenpowerlossor
disconnectingreconnectingofthe plugtothe
electricalsocket,thecompressor’sprotective
thermalelementwill be opened asthe
pressureofthe gasinthe cooling systemof
yourrefrigeratorhasnotyetbeen balanced.
4or5minuteslater,yourrefrigeratorwillstart
tooperate;thisisnormal.
•If you will notbe using yourrefrigeratorfora
longtime(holiday,etc...),disconnecttheplug
fromthesocket.Cleanyourrefrigeratorasper
page 9ofthisdocument and leavethe door
open topreventanyhumidification orodour
formation.
