General safety information
Keep the product and all its parts out of reach of small children.
This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
• Do not attempt to open the product. This product does not contain any user
serviceable parts. Unauthorised handling of the device may damage it and will void
your warranty.
• Do not use your Party Speaker emergency/intensive care medical equipment; or
during an electrical storm.
• Do not expose your Party Speaker to sudden temperature changes from cold to hot,
and do not locate this product in an environment with high humidity (i.e. a room with
a humidifier) to prevent condensation inside this unit, which may cause an electrical
shock, fire, damage to this product, and/or personal injury.
CAUTION: To avoid possible hearing damage, do not listen to this Party Speaker
at high volume levels for long periods of time. Always keep the volume within
reasonable limits.
Power source
Only use the power supply that came with the product. Using an unauthorised power
supply will invalidate your guarantee and may irrecoverably damage the product.
Disconnect your Party Speaker from the mains power supply during thunderstorms.
Always check that you have completely switched off your Party Speaker, before you
change or disconnect the power supply.
Where the mains power plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device,
the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
If the Party Speaker will not be used for a long period of time, make sure that the mains
power is unplugged.
The battery within this product should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine,
fire or the like.
CAUTION: Batteries contain substances that may be harmful to the environment
and human health. Keep out of the reach of children and seek immediate
medical help if swallowed.
Batteries should not be disposed of in the normal household waste but taken to
appropriate local recycling facilities, where and when these are available.
Never throw batteries in a fire or attempt to open the outer casing.
Moisture and water
• Do not leave it in low temperatures as moisture can form inside the product, which
may damage the circuit board.
• Do not place containers with liquid in them on top of this product; they may fall and
the liquid may cause an electric shock to the user and/or damage to this product.
Ventilation
• Do not block or cover slots, holes or openings on the product by placing on soft
furnishings such as carpets, rugs or beds as these are provided for functionality and/or
ventilation to ensure safe operation of the product.
• Do not cover this product with a newspaper, tablecloth, curtain, etc. in order not to
obstruct heat radiation. If the temperature inside this unit rises, it may cause a fire,
damage to this unit, and/or personal injury.
Heat sources and flames
Do not leave it in high temperatures as electronic devices and plastic parts may warp in
heat.
Keep it away from bright sunlight or heat sources, such as a radiator.
No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on or near the
product.

Positioning the Party Speaker
It is important that you consider carefully in advance where your Party Speaker will be
situated and make sure that it is:
• on a flat and stable surface.
• in a well ventilated, cool, dry, clean place - away from direct sunlight, heat sources,
vibration, dust, moisture and/or cold. For proper ventilation, allow the following
minimum clearances around the product of:
Top: 10 cm (4 in)
Rear: 10 cm (4 in)
Sides: 10 cm (4 in)
• at least 1 metre away from other electrical appliances to avoid interference.
• where it will be in range of the connected or ‘paired’ bluetooth device (e.g. iPod/
iPhone/iPad/Android/other phone/computer, which is about 10 metres or less (33 feet
or less) in line of sight.
• where the mains power socket and power plug can be reached easily and the power
cable is not a trip hazard
• Never place your Party Speaker directly onto antique or polished surfaces.
Power connection
Your Party Speaker has an integral 12V/2600mah rechargeble lead acid battery, which
enables you to use your product for a period of approximately 5 hours without a mains
power connection.
Before first use, we recommend that you fully charge the lead acid battery so that it’s
ready to use when you need it.
1. Connect the mains power lead into the socket on the back, at the top of the Party
Speaker and plug the power adaptor into the mains power wall socket and switch on.
2. The red battery charging LED in the Party speaker display will light up, to indicate that
the battery is charging. When the battery is fully charged the red LED will turn off.
Note: It willl take approximately 3 hours to fully charge your Party speaker integral
battery. You can still use your Party speaker on mains power, whilst the integral battery
is charging but the charge time will then be longer.
3. Press the power switch on the back of the Party speaker at the top to On. The product
will switch on, ‘Hi’ will be displayed followed by ‘-bt-’, a bluetooth icon will flash to
indicate that you Party speaker is searching for Bluetooth devices.
Changing the mode
Your party speaker has 4 modes, Bluetooth, FM Radio, Aux in and USB play.
1. Short press the Power/Mode button to change between Bluetooth, FM Radio and
Aux in modes. To use USB Play mode, just plug a USB stick into the USB PLAY socket.
USB Play socket
With your Party speaker you can play MP3, WAV and WMA music files directly from a USB
stick.
Note: When you plug a USB stick into the USB PLAY socket, it will directly override the
product mode selection.
With your Party speaker in any mode:
1. Plug the USB stick with the music files into the USB PLAY socket. The files on the USB
stick will begin to play.
Note: Remember to remove the USB stick from the USB Play socket after use.
USB 5V/1A Charge socket
You can charge mobile devices that have a USB charging cable (not supplied), using the
USB 5V/1A charge socket.
Note: You can use the USB charge socket to charge other mobile devices when the
Party speaker is connected to Mains power or is being used in battery mode.

With the Party speaker powered on and in any mode:
1. Connect the mobile device charging cable (not supplied) to your mobile device and
plug the standard USB plug end into the USB 5V/1A charge socket on your Party
speaker
2. Your Party speaker will now begin to charge your mobile device. Please check the
display.
Microphone sockets
Your Party speaker has two microphone sockets . When you
connect a microphone, the MIC FIRST feature becomes active and the music sound is
lowered so that the microphone can be heard. You can short press the MIC FIRST button
to turn this feature on or off.
You can adjust the volume and effect of the microphone by using the MIC VOL and MIC
ECHO rotary controls on the top of the Party speaker.
Adjusting the volume
Turn the large central volume control clockwise to increase the volume and anti-
clockwise to decrease the volume. There are a maximum of 30 volume levels on your
Party speaker, please check the display when you adjust the volume.
Equaliser (EQ) function
The sound on your Party speaker can be adjusted to suit the type of music or radio
programme that you are listending to using the EQ function. The 10 options available are:
Classic, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Live, Club, Dance, Hall, Soft and Flat.
1. Repeatedly short press the EQ button to cycle through the EQ options available. Stop
when the EQ setting you would like is displayed.
Mega Bass
Short press the MEGA BASS button to turn the Mega Bass on or off.
Tone
1. Short press the TONE button to access the Party speaker bass and treble settings.
2. When a ‘b’ for Bass or a ‘t’ for Treble is displayed, use the large central volume control
to adjust the settings. There are 10 levels available for Bass and Treble.
3. Short press the TONE button again to switch between the Bass (b), Treble (t) and
Volume settings.
Mute
1. Short press the MUTE button to turn the volume off.. U-00 will be displayed and then
the product will revert to the current Mode display, e.g. -bt-.
2. Short press the MUTE button to turn the volume on again.
Top face light
Your Party speaker has 8 different light settings for the top small light panel.
Repeatedly short press the FACE button to cycle through the light options available.
Stop when you can see the your preferred light effect.
Main speaker light
Your Party speaker has 9 different light settings for the main speaker light.
Repeatedly short press the SPEAKER button to cycle through the light options
available. Stop when you can see the your preferred light effect.

Power on
After you have connected the power to the Party speaker, press the power switch on
the back of the Party speaker at the top to On. The product will switch on, ‘Hi’ will be
displayed followed by ‘-bt-’, a bluetooth icon will flash to indicate that you Party speaker is
searching for Bluetooth devices.
Standby mode
If the Party Speaker does not receive an audio signal for approximately 20 minutes, it will
go to Standby mode. Short press the Power/M button to turn the product back on
again.
Power o
Long press the Power/M button and then switch the power switch on the back of
the Party speaker to off. To power off the product completely,when using mains power,
switch off at the mains power wall socket.
Connect to a Bluetooth device
Check that your Party speaker is in Bluetooth mode. If you are not already in Bluetooth
mode, short press the Power/Mode button until you are in Bluetooth mode (check the
display). Your Party speaker will begin to search for Bluetooth devices.
In Bluetooth Mode:
1. Your Party speaker will search for Bluetooth devices.
2. On the device that you would like to connect to your radio (e.g. iPhone/iPad/Android/
other phone/Tablet/Computer), turn on Bluetooth connectivity and ensure that it is
‘discoverable’.
Note: If necessary, refer to the instructions for your device to add or set up Bluetooth.
3. Select to ‘Add new device’, if necessary.
Note: Some products will automatically search for a new device and so the ‘Add new
device’ option is not available.
4. When found, your Party speaker will be displayed as ‘BUSH PT-941’. Select the device
name to begin pairing.
5. When pairing is complete ‘Connected’ will be announced and the bluetooth icon will
stop flashing and will remain continuously on.
6. Now that you have paired your device with the radio, it will connect to it when it is
within range, which is about 10 metres or less (33 feet or less), line of sight.
Your device will remain paired with the Party speaker unless you decide to disconnect or
‘unpair’ it.
Listening to Music/Audio using Bluetooth
In Bluetooth mode:
1. Select and start the music or audio that you wish to listen to on your paired Bluetooth
device, it will now be heard through the Party Speaker. Adjust the volume on the
connected device and/or your Party Speaker.
2. You can use the controls on your paired Bluetooth device as well as the volume
control on your Party Speaker.
Controls available on your Party speaker:
Short press to Play/Pause
Short press to skip forward
Short press to skip back
Repeat Short press to repeat the current track or repeat all.
Note: The Repeat function is only available when you are playing music from a
USB stick.

FM radio
If you are not already in FM radio mode, short press the Power/M button to go to FM
mode. Check the display, there will be an FM icon and frequency displayed in FM mode.
Tuning to an FM station
Long press the NEXT button to scan up the FM frequency band.
Long press the PREV button to scan down the FM frequency band.
Your Party speaker will stop when it receives a strong station signal.
FM radio presets
Your Party speaker will automatically store the stations found to its preset locations. Short
press the Next or Prev button to move through the preset locations, stop when
the preset location you would like is displayed.
Aux in mode
If you are not already in Aux in mode, short press the Power/M button to go to Aux in
mode. Check the display.
1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied) to the headphone (or
auxiliary out) socket of your secondary device. Connect the other end to the Aux in
socket on the top of your Party Speaker.
2. Press the Play button on your external device to start playback through the Party
Speaker.
3. To gain optimal volume levels, adjust the volume level on both the secondary device
and on the Party Speaker.
Note: After you have finished listening to your external device we recommend that you
unplug the audio cable from the Aux in socket

Unable to pair with a Bluetooth device:
• Check that you are in Bluetooth mode.
• Ensure that you are within range of the Party Speaker for Bluetooth functionality, 10
metres or less (33 feet or less).
• Check that the device you are attempting to pair with supports A2DP stereo audio
transmission.
• Move the Party Speaker and Bluetooth device away from other Bluetooth devices/
electrical equipment.
• If possible, turn off other nearby Bluetooth devices or disable their Bluetooth
functionality.
No sound / Sound distortion:
• Adjust the volume.
• If you are using a Bluetooth connected device, check the volume on the secondary
device and on your Party Speaker
• If you are using your Party speaker on battery power the battery power may be low.
Please connect your Party speaker to the mains power to recharge the integral battery.
