General Precautions
Before installing, carefully read the instruc-
tions and follow the process explained by
the manufacturer.
Installing, programming, commissioning
and maintenance of this device must be
only done by qualified, specifically trained
technicians, and in full compliance with any
applicable regulatory provisions, includ-
ing workplace safety and waste disposal
standards and regulations. Modifying the
project or set up of the device without first
checking with the manufacturer or author-
ized dealer may be hazardous.
Came S.p.A. is not liable for any damage
caused if the product is used improperly,
wrongfully or unreasonably.
Before carrying out any cleaning or main-
tenance operation, disconnect the device
from the power supply.
The equipment must be destined solely
for the use for which it was expressly de-
signed.
Install in state-of-the-art fashion, so that
the casing remains clean and watertight.

Description
Control card for managing, via radio, maximum 10, RIO
wireless accessories.
It connects to automation control boards or control panels,
fitted with the corresponding connector or slot.

*Do not place the RIOCN8WS card behind walls, metal
fences or any other obstructions that could interfere with
radio communications.
Installing
⚠Before CUTTING OFF THE MAINS POWER SUPPLY, dis-
connect any batteries fitted on the device.
- Fit the RIOCN8WS into the automation's control board .
NB: Do not change the antenna's position.
- Power up the automation and check that the WIRELESS
LEDs are flashing.
- If they are not flashing, RESET the card (see the corre-
sponding procedure).
- Remove the batteries from the accessories.
- Save each and every component of the system (see acces-
sories instructions).
- Make the required functional checks (see the correspond-
ing procedure).
RESETTING procedure
Keep the RESET button pressed for 10 seconds, until the
WIRELESS LEDs start flashing.
N.B.: If you replace any device on the system, you will
have to RESET and then again SAVE all of the system
devices.

Functional checks
Issue a start command (each RIO accessory will flash * blue)
Make sure that the RIOLX8WS activates.
Interfere with the gate's opening or closing and check
whether the RIOPH8WS and/or RIOED8W devices activate
the required safety function.
When the maneuver is complete, each RIO accessory will
flash* red and switch into LOW POWER mode to preserve
the batteries.
⚠In LOW POWER mode, the photocells will respond
more slowly - the LED flashes blue - to the manual op-
eration test.
* If this does not happen, cut o the mains power supply
and increase the radio signal's range/power by setting
jumper ③to position H.
Troubleshooting

Buzzer active
When the batteries are almost flat on the RIOPH8WS and
RIOED8WS devices, they make a buzzing sound for 10
seconds.
If the control panel does not show the RIOCN8WS func-
tions, switch o and then again turn on the control panel.

directive 2014/53/EU. The complete wording of the EU dec-

RIOCN8WS paired with a RIOED8WS and together with an op-
erator, or a control panel, with safety test enabled, is a Category
2 safety device according to EN 954-1.
RIOCN8WS paired with a RIOED8WS, is a Category 2 safety
device according to EN 954-1.
Decommissioning and disposal. Responsibly dispose of the
packaging and the device, at the end of their life cycles, in com-
pliance with the laws in force in the country where the product
is used. The recyclable components are marked with a symbol
and the material's ID marker.
