All our KURIO Balance chairs are made from premium quality materials to the highest manufacturing standards.
Please read these instructions carefully. The proper installation and care of your Balance chair will ensure many years of
Cacooning pleasure.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
You’ll nd everything you need to hang your Balance Chair in the box:
- 1 x Balance Chair + 5m of hanging rope with steel carabiner (used to attach to the top of your Balance).
- 1 x hanging set.
- 4 x spare elastic for the xation of the fabric on the wood
- 100 ml of oil (Do not hesitate to coat the wood after one year with this oil once a year with a soft brush).
No tools needed.
1- Unpack and place your Balance chair on the ground.
2- Open the assembly kit. It consists of two ropes which are joined at one end and which are separated at the other end.
Each of the three ends contains a metal fastener
3- Insert the metal fastener of the double rope into the hole at the top of your Balance chair. The metal part must be securely
attached to the outside of your Balance chair as shown in the photo (N°1)
4- Reproduce the same operation with the other two metal strings and fasteners in the other two holes of your Balance Chair.
5- Hang your Balance chair on the rope provided.
6- Hang your Balance chair – but before you do, check that the branch, beam or bracket is strong enough to take your weight
and the weight of any friends who may be joining you.
EVERY TIME YOU USE YOUR BALANCE CHAIR YOU MUST
- Always check that your Balance chair and its hanging system are in good condition and show no signs of damage, wear or tear.
- Always ensure that you use a suitable knot to tie o your hanging rope and that your chosen hanging point is strong enough
to take at least the same weight as you intend to have in the Balance chair.
- Always tether when using the Balance chair.
- Never exceed the stated load limit or hang the Balance chair higher than just above ground level (when fully laden).
- Never jump into a Balance chair or use it as a trampoline or swing – the Balance chair is designed for gentle play and relaxation.
- Never hang your Balance chair where it can swing into a vertical surface.
- Never twist or spin your Balance chair. It is only designed to hang from the webbing loop without any twists.
HOW TO USE YOUR BALANCE CHAIR?
1- Set the height of the Balance chair o the ground to around that of a typical seat.
2- Sit down in your Balance chair just as you would in a normal chair.
3- Shift your body weight to suit your mood. – remember the further back you move in your Balance chair the more reclined
it will become.
4- To get out, put both feet rmly on the ground outside of the Balance chair and simply stand up just as you would if you
were getting up from a normal chair.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SETTING THE BALANCE GEOMETRY FROM THE ROPE HANGING SYSTEM
Here is a drawing which describes the almost innite angles at which a chair becomes comfortable. You can see that the more
reclined the angle the lower the front of the chair or back of your knee needs to be. (N°2)
To ensure that your Balance Chair is just that you will need to zero in on the height to angle relationship which is best for you.
This might take a few attempts.
Altering the height is less complicated than altering the angle so please start with that. It is simply a question of tying the
hanging rope o so that your feet sit at on the ground and the back of your knees are not touching the front cross bar.
The photo shows the top carabineer as it is packed at our factory. You can see the although there are for ropes passing through
it there are only three end loops and three hang points on the chair. Two single ropes going to the front left and right and one
double to the back. By moving the rope through the knot in one direction you will lengthen the front lines and shorten the
back line and the opposite happens when you do it the other way. (N°3)
You may have to try a few times to set the knot evenly but believe my it is really worth getting this perfectly for ultimate
comfort. You can now reset the height to swing or to sit just as you like.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR BALANCE CHAIR?
Always tether your Balance chair when not in use – this is particularly important in high winds – and ensure that it cannot bang

into walls, tree trunks, etc. as this will damage the wood and potentially the fabric too.
Washing Yes, your Balance chair fabric can be washed at maximum 30° with neutral detergent. No bleach.
You must coat the wood with the oil once a year with a soft brush.
TOP TIPS FROM TEAM CACOONWORLD
If you are not using your Balance chair take it down and hang it in the garage You will increase the life span of your Balance chair
if you do this.
Do not leave in direct sunlight when not in use.

DE QUOI SE COMPOSE VOTRE CHAISE BALANCE?
Vous trouverez dans cette boîte tous les éléments nécessaires pour le montage de votre chaise Balance :
- 1 x chaise Balance + 5m de corde et un mousqueton qui doit être attaché au-dessus de votre chaise Balance.
- 1 x set de xation pour suspendre votre chaise Balance.
- 4 x élastiques de réserve pour la xation du tissu sur la structure en bois.
- 100 ml d’huile (Pour l’entretien, n'hésitez pas à enduire le bois de cette huile une fois par an avec une brosse douce).
Le montage de votre chaise Balance ne nécessite aucun outil !
1- Déballez et placez votre chaise Balance sur le sol.
2- Ouvrez le kit de montage. Il se compose de deux cordes qui sont jointes à une extrémité et qui sont séparées à l'autre extrémité.
Chacune des trois extrémités contient une attache en métal
3- Insérez l'attache métallique de la corde double dans le trou situé en haut de votre chaise Balance. La partie métallique doit être
solidement attachée à l'extérieur de votre chaise Balance comme indiqué sur la photo (N ° 1).
4- Reproduisez la même opération avec les deux autres cordes et attaches métalliques dans les deux autres trous de votre
chaise Balance.
5- Accrochez votre chaise Balance avec la corde fournie.
6- Suspendez votre chaise Balance - mais avant cela, vériez que la branche, la structure ou le support est susamment solide
pour supporter votre poids et le poids de tous les amis qui peuvent s’y installer.
AVANT CHAQUE UTILISATION DE VOTRE CHAISE BALANCE, VEILLEZ À
- Toujours vérier que la chaise Balance comme son système d’attache restent en bon état et ne présentent aucun signe de
faiblesse.
- Toujours vérier les noeuds de xation et la solidité du point d’ancrage avec au minimum le même poids que celui qui sera
présent sur la chaise Balance.
- Toujours bien attacher la chaise Balance quand vous l’utilisez.
- Ne jamais dépasser la limite de poids autorisée et ne pas suspendre la chaise Balance plus haut que la limite prévue.
- Ne jamais sauter dans la chaise Balance ni l’utiliser comme un trampoline ou une balançoire.
Les chaises Balance sont prévues pour se relaxer.
- Ne jamais suspendre votre chaise Balance à un endroit où il peut heurter une surface verticale.
- Ne jamais faire tourner votre chaise Balance. Celle-ci a été conçue pour être xée à un point xe mais pas pour être tordue.
COMMENT UTILISER VOTRE CHAISE BALANCE?
1- Suspendre votre chaise Balance à une hauteur similaire à celle d’une chaise.
2- Asseyez-vous dans votre chaise Balance comme sur une chaise classique.

3- Installez-vous de la façon la plus confortable et n’oubliez pas qu’une position vers l’arrière de votre chaise Balance lui
permettra de se redresser.
4- Pour sortir, placez vos pieds au sol et redressez-vous avec force.
INSTRUCTIONS DE RÉGLAGE DE LA GÉOMÉTRIE ET DE L'ÉQUILIBRE DE VOTRE CHAISE BALANCE
Voici un dessin qui décrit les angles presque innis qui permettent à une chaise de devenir confortable pour chaque personne.
Vous pouvez voir que plus l'angle est incliné, plus le bas de l'avant de la chaise sera en contcat avec votre genou. (N°2)
Pour vous assurer que votre chaise Balance est dans le bon angle, vous devrez tester diérentes hauteurs et angles pour trouver
celui qui vous convient le mieux. Ce réglage va nécessiter quelques tentatives.
Il est moins compliqué de modier la hauteur que de modier l'angle. Commencez par là. Il s’agit simplement d’accrochez la
chaise Balance pour que vos pieds reposent à plat sur le sol et que vos genoux ne touchent pas la barre transversale avant.
La photo montre le mousqueton supérieur tel qu'il est emballé dans notre usine. Vous pouvez voir que les cordes passent en
direntes boucles dans le mousqueton. Deux cordes simples vont à l'avant gauche et à droite et une corde double à l'arrière.
En déplaçant la corde à travers le nœud dans un sens, vous rallongerez les lignes de front et raccourcirez la tension arrière et le
contraire se produit lorsque vous le faites dans l'autre sens. (N°3)
Vous devrez peut-être essayer plusieurs fois de placer le nœud de manière uniforme, mais croyez-moi, cela vaut vraiment la
peine d’essayer pour obtenir un confort ultime.
Vous pouvez maintenant réinitialiser la hauteur pour qu’elle se balance et vous asseoir comme vous le souhaitez.
COMMENT ENTRETENIR VOTRE CHAISE BALANCE?
Rangez toujours votre chaise Balance lorsqu'elle n'est pas utilisée - ceci est particulièrement important par vent fort -
et assurez-vous qu'il ne puisse pas frapper dans les murs, les troncs d'arbres, etc., car cela endommagerait le bois et le tissu aussi.
Le tissu de votre chaise Balance peut être lavé à 30° maximum avec un détergent neutre. Aucun agent de blanchiment.
Vous devez enduire le bois d'huile une fois par an avec une brosse douce.
LES CONSEILS DE L’ÉQUIPE CACOONWORLD
Si vous n'utilisez pas votre chaise Balance, décrochez-la et suspendez-la au garage. La durée de vie de votre chaise Balance
augmentera.
Ne laissez pas votre chaise Balance en contact avec la lumière directe du soleil lorsque vous ne l'utilisez pas.
