IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of re, electric shock, and/or injury to person, including the following:
1. Read all instructions and information in this instruction book and any other literature included
in the carton referring to this product before operating or using this appliance.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces (i.e. steam wand). Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against re, electric shock, and personal inury, do not place cord, plugs, or aplliance
in water or other liquid.
4. This appliance must be kept out of the reach of children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
6. Allow to cool before putting on or talking o parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result
in re, electric shock, or personal injury.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surface.

CAUTION
This appliance is for household use only. Any servicing, other than cleaning and user maintenance,
should be performed by an authorized service centre. Do not immerse machine in water. To reduce
the risk of re or electric, shock, do not disassemble the machine.There are no parts inside the
machine serviceable by the user. Repair should be done by authorized service personnel only.
1. Check voltage to be sure that the voltage indicated on the nameplate corresponds with your
voltage.
2. Never use warm or hot water to ll the water tank. Use cold water only.
3. Keep your hands the cord away from hot parts of the appliance during operation.
4. Never clean with scrubbing powders or harsh cleaners. Simply use a soft cloth dampened with
water.
5. For optimal taste of your coee, use puried or bottled water. Periodic descaling is still
recommended every 2-3 months.
6. Do not use caramelized or avored coee beans.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE POWER SUPPLY CORD
A. A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be provided to reduce risks
resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a langer cord.
B. Longer detachable poer-supply cords or extension cords are available and may used if care is
exercised in their use.
C. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
1. The marker electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord should
be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
2. If the aplliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type
3-wire cord.
3 The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table
top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

First use or after a long period of disuse
• Fit the used capsule drawer inside the drip tray and place in the machine (Fig. 15).
• Plug the power cord supplied into the relevant socket on the bottom of the appliance
(Fig. 16).
• Fill the tank with fresh, still water (Fig. 4).
• Plug in the appliance and turn it on (Fig. 13).
• Make sure the lever is closed (Fig. 3).
• As well as buttons A-B-C, indicator light Dalso blinks RED.
• Place a large container (at least 250 ml) under the dispensing spout (Fig. 9).
• Press one of the buttons A-B-C. Wait for the machine to complete the priming cycle and
fill with water. Indicator light Dwill switch off.
NOTE: if, at the end of the priming cycle, buttons A-B-Cand indicator light Dcon-
tinue to blink, repeat the procedures as listed in the previous step.
• Buttons A-B-Cwill blink simultaneously to indicate that the machine is warming up.
• When buttons A-B-Cturn on and remain steadily lit, perform a rinse by pressing button
C. Press the button again to perform a second rinse. Wait for the machine to complete
the rinse cycle.
• At the end of this operation, empty out the water from the used capsule drawer (Fig. 6).
Turning on the appliance
• Fill the tank with fresh, still water (Fig. 4).
• Switch on the appliance by pressing the power on/off switch (Fig. 14).
• Buttons A-B-Cwill blink simultaneously to indicate that the machine is warming up. When
the buttons turn on and remain steadily lit, the appliance is ready for use.
General operating indications
DESCALING SIGNAL:
• When indicator light Eblinks YELLOW and the machine beeps 3 times, a descaling cycle
should be carried out (see ch. Descaling).
HEATING:
• Buttons A-B-Cblink simultaneously.
WHEN THE WATER RUNS OUT DURING OPERATION:
• The water tank is empty when indicator light Dblinks RED and the appliance emits 3
beeps followed by a single intermittent beep.
• Fill the water tank with fresh, still water (Fig. 4).
• Press one of the buttons A-B-C. Wait for the machine to complete the priming cycle and
fill with water.
• When buttons A-B-Cturn on and remain steadily lit, the appliance is ready for use.
IF THE LEVER IS RAISED WHILE DISPENSING:
• Raising the lever while dispensing a product (Fig. 1) may cause splashes of hot water.
Danger of scalding!
• Indicator light Fblinks RED. The appliance will immediately stop dispensing.
• Close the lever (Fig. 3).
• Press one of the buttons A-B-Cto reset the alarm.
• The appliance is ready for use again.

Adjusting the cup/espresso cup height
• The machine can be adjusted for the use of large cups or espresso cups.
• The machine is initially set for the use of large cups (Fig. 7).
• For the best possible results when using espresso cups, raise the drip tray, expand the
bottom part and fix it in place by turning it clockwise (Fig. 10).
• Reposition the drip tray and start using the espresso cups (Fig. 8).
Correct use of the buttons
To dispense “Espresso” or “Caffè crema”, use solely buttons Aor B(1st and 2nd from the left
respectively, lit in WHITE). The same buttons, depending on the quantity, are to be used for
dispensing capsules of orzo, ginseng, cocoa or milk.
Button C(3rd from the left, lit in BLUE) must be used solely for "Filter Coffee" or "Americano"
(very mild). This same button can be used for capsules of tea, chamomile tea or herbal tea.
Do not use button Cfor espresso or any other coffee with an intense flavour. In this function
the machine is set for low pressure and this reduces the "crema", diminishes the flavour of the
coffee, and could cause a break in the flow.
NOTE: traces of the product just dispensed may remain inside the machine. When
dispensing milk, hot chocolate or instant beverages, for full flavour we suggest
rinsing the machine by pressing any button (A, B or C) without inserting a capsule.
In any case, we recommend carrying out this procedure at least once a week.
Dispensing coffee
• Raise the lever to open the capsule compartment (Fig. 1).
• Insert the capsule, pressing it gently into place (Fig. 2).
• Close the lever fully (Fig. 3).
• Place a cup or espresso cup under the coffee dispensing spout (Fig. 7 or 8).
• Press and release button Aor B, depending on the desired coffee.
• The pressed button will blink. The machine will stop dispensing on reaching the pro-
grammed quantity and emit a beep.
• Raise the lever to eject the used capsule into the drawer (Fig. 1).
• Close the lever (Fig. 3).
NOTE: the quantities of coffee dispensed can be programmed according to personal
taste and the size of the cups or espresso cups used.
To program the quantities, please refer to ch. “Programming the quantity of coffee in
a cup”.

Programming the quantity of coffee in a cup
• Raise the lever to open the capsule compartment (Fig. 1).
• Insert the capsule, pressing it gently into place (Fig. 2).
• Close the lever fully (Fig. 3).
• Place a cup or espresso cup under the dispensing spout (Fig. 7 or 8).
• Press and hold the desired coffee button.
• On reaching the desired amount of coffee, release the button; the machine will beep
three times. Now the button is programmed. The quantity of coffee dispensed can be
programmed from a minimum of 20 up to a maximum of 250 ml.
• Raise the lever to eject the used capsule into the drawer (Fig. 1).
• Close the lever (Fig. 3).
Saving energy
The machine will automatically reduce consumption after 10 minutes of inactivity.
Buttons A-B-Cblink slowly and sequentially. To restore normal operating conditions,
press any button or raise the lever. The appliance will start warming up.
When buttons A-B-C turn on and remain steadily lit, the appliance is ready for use.
Daily maintenance
• Remove the drip tray and used capsule drawer (Fig. 6).
• Lift the used capsule drawer (Fig. 11); empty and rinse it.
• Remove the grid (Fig. 12). Empty the drip tray and rinse it out with water.
• Remove the water tank (Fig. 5); empty and rinse it.
NOTE: traces of the product just dispensed may remain inside the machine. When
dispensing milk, hot chocolate or instant beverages, for full flavour we suggest
rinsing the machine by pressing any button (A, B or C) without inserting a capsule.
In any case, we recommend carrying out this procedure at least once a week

Descaling
Descaling signal: when indicator light Eblinks YELLOW and the machine beeps 3 times, a
descaling cycle should be carried out, as illustrated below.
The machine features an advanced program that monitors how much water is used
to dispense beverages. This measurement provides the user with indications as to
when the machine needs to be descaled.
It is advisable to use the Caffitaly System descaling agent, designed to comply with the
technical characteristics of the machine, in full observance of consumer safety. The
descaling agent must be disposed of in compliance with manufacturer instructions
and/or with current regulations in force in the country where the appliance is used.
CAREFULLY read the directions for use on the packaging of the descaling agent.
Avoid contact with eyes, skin and machine surfaces.
Switch the machine off during descaling, and do not lift the lever. A person must be
present during the operation.
Do not use vinegar: it could damage your machine!
• Switch the machine off by pressing the power on/off switch (Fig. 14).
• Empty and rinse out the used capsule drawer and drip tray (Fig. 6).
• Remove and empty the water tank (Fig. 5).
• Mix the contents of a bottle of Caffitaly System descaling agent with approximately 750
cc. of water (a total of 1 litre) and pour into the tank.
• Make sure that the lever is lowered (Fig. 3) and that there is no capsule inside the capsule
compartment.
• Remove the drip-tray (Fig. 17).
• Place a container (at least 500 ml) under the dispenser (Fig. 18).
• Press and hold buttons Aand Bwhile switching the machine on by pressing the power
on/off switch.
• Button Bwill be lit, while indicator lights Eand F blink YELLOW and RED alternately.
• Press button Bto start the descaling cycle.
• The machine dispenses the descaling solution at intervals (5 doses with a 4-minute
pause between each one, for a total duration of about 25 minutes). During this step,
when the buttons must not be pressed, indicator lights Eand F blink YELLOW and
RED alternately.
• If the container fills up, empty it out.
• When the first step is over, button Blights up and the machine beeps repeatedly. The
water tank is empty.
• Carefully rinse out the water tank and refill it with fresh water (Fig. 4).
• Empty and rinse the used capsule drawer, the drip tray and the container used and put
them back in place.
• Press button Bto start the rinse cycle.
• Rinse water (about 500 ml) will be run through the machine. During this stage, indicator
lights Eand F blink alternately.
• When the rinse cycle is complete, the machine beeps and buttons A-B-Cblink simultane-
ously; the machine is warming up. When the buttons turn on and remain steadily lit, the
appliance is ready for use.
• Carefully empty and rinse out the water tank and refill it with fresh, still water (Fig. 4).
• Empty and rinse out the used capsule drawer and drip tray (Fig. 6).

ATTENTION
Cette machine est prévue pour un usage privé exclusivement. Toute intervention autre que le net-
toyage et l’entretien doit être eectuée par un centre agréé. N’immergez pas la machine dans l’eau.
Pour éviter tout risque d’incendie ou de choc électrique, ne démontez pas la machine. La machine
ne contient aucun composant réparable par l’utilisateur. Les réparations doivent être eectuées
uniquement par des personnes qualiées et autorisées.
1. Vériez que la tension indiquée sur la plaque signalétique de la machine correspond à la ten-
sion de votre habitation.
2. Ne remplissez jamais le réservoir avec de l’eau chaude ou brulante. Utilisez uniquement de l’eau
froide.
3. Pendant le fonctionnement, tenez vos mains et le cordon éloignés des surfaces chaudes de la
machine.
4. Ne nettoyez jamais la machine à l’aide de poudres nettoyantes ou d’agents abrasifs. Utilisez
uniquement un chion humide légèrement imbibé d’eau.
5. Pour obtenir une qualité optimale de café, utilisez de l’eau puriée ou en bouteille. Le détar-
trage préventif doit tout de même avoir lieu tous les 2-3 mois.
6. N’utilisez pas des grains de café caramélisé ou aromatisé.
INSTRUCTIONS RELATIVES AU CORDON
D’ALIMENTATION
A. Un cordon d’alimentation court (ou amovible) est préférable pour éviter que le cordon ne
s’entortille ou éviter de trébucher.
B. Des cordons d’alimentation amovibles plus longs et des rallonges sont disponibles et peuvent
être utilisés si les consignes de sécurité sont respectées.
C. En cas d’utilisation d’un cordon d’alimentation amovible plus long ou d’une rallonge:
1. Les caractéristiques électriques du cordon ou de la rallonge doivent être au moins de
valeur égale aux caractéristiques électriques de la machine.
2. Si la machine est mise à la terre, la rallonge doit être de type mise à la terre à trois ls.
3 Si le cordon d’alimentation est long, disposez-le de sorte qu’il ne pende pas du plan de
travail ou de la table pour éviter de trébucher ou pour que les enfants ne puissent pas tirer
dessus.

Lors de la première utilisation ou après une longue
période d'inactivité
• Positionner le réservoir à capsules usagées dans le bac d'égouttement et les introduire dans
l'appareil (Fig. 15).
• Introduire la fiche du câble d'alimentation fourni dans le logement prévu à cet effet sous
l'appareil (Fig. 16).
• Remplir le réservoir avec de l'eau fraîche, non gazeuse (Fig. 4).
• Brancher la fiche sur la prise de courant et allumer l'appareil (Fig. 13).
• S'assurer que la poignée est fermée (Fig. 3).
• Les touches A-B-Cclignotent tout comme clignote en ROUGE le voyant D.
• Placer un récipient (d'au moins 250 ml) sous la buse de distribution (Fig. 9).
• Appuyer sur l'une des touches A-B-C.Attendre la fin du cycle de chargement du circuit hydrau-
lique de l'appareil. Le voyant Ds'éteint.
NOTA BENE : si à la fin du chargement, les touches A-B-Cet le voyant Dcontinuent de
clignoter, répéter les opérations du point précédent.
• Les touches A-B-Cclignotent en même temps ; l'appareil est en phase de réchauffement.
• Quand les touches A-B-Cs'allument en permanence, effectuer le rinçage en appuyant sur la
touche C.Appuyer de nouveau sur la touche pour effectuer un deuxième rinçage.Attendre que
l'appareil termine le cycle de rinçage.
• Au terme de l'opération, éliminer l'eau qui se trouve dans le réservoir à capsules usagées
(Fig. 6).
Allumer l'appareil
• Remplir le réservoir avec de l'eau fraîche, non gazeuse (Fig. 4).
• Allumer l'appareil en appuyant sur l'interrupteur général (Fig. 14).
• Les touches A-B-Cclignotent en même temps ; l'appareil est en phase de réchauffement.
Lorsque les touches sont allumées de façon fixe, la machine est prête à l'emploi.
Signaux généraux de fonctionnement
SIGNAL DÉTARTRAGE
• Quand le voyant Eclignote en JAUNE, et que l’appareil émet 3 signaux sonores, il est conseil-
lé de procéder au cycle de détartrage (Voir Chapitre Détartrage).
RÉCHAUFFEMENT
• Les touches A-B-Cclignotent en même temps.
SI L’EAU S’ÉPUISE PENDANT LE FONCTIONNEMENT
• Quand le voyant Dclignote en ROUGE et que l’appareil émet tout d’abord 3 signaux sonores
suivis d’un signal intermittent, le réservoir à eau est vide.
• Remplir le réservoir avec de l’eau fraîche, non gazeuse (Fig. 4).
• Appuyer sur l’une des touches A-B-C. Attendre la fin du cycle de chargement du circuit hy-
draulique de l’appareil.
• Lorsque les touches A-B-Cs’allument en permanence, l’appareil est prêt à l’emploi.
EN CAS DE LEVAGE DE LA POIGNÉE DURANT LA DISTRIBUTION
• Si l’utilisateur lève la poignée pendant la distribution d’un produit (Fig. 1), de l’eau chaude
risque de gicler. Risque de brûlure !
• Levoyant Fclignote en ROUGE. La distribution est immédiatement interrompue.
• Fermer la poignée (Fig. 3).
• Appuyer sur l’une des touches A-B-Cpour remettre l’alarme à zéro.
• L’appareil est de nouveau prêt à l’emploi.

Réglage hauteur grande tasse/petite tasse
• Il est possible de régler l'appareil de manière à permettre une utilisation correcte des grandes
et des petites tasses.
• La machine est initialement configurée pour l'utilisation de grandes tasses (Fig. 7).
• Pour optimiser l'utilisation des petites tasses, soulever le bac d'égouttement, allonger la partie
inférieure et la bloquer en la tournant dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre. (Fig. 10)
• Remettre le bac d'égouttement à sa place et utiliser les petites tasses (Fig. 8).
Utilisation correcte des touches
Pour la distribution d'un « Expresso » ou d'un « Café crème », n'utiliser que les touches Aou B
(respectivement la 1ère et la 2ème en partant de la gauche, illuminées en BLANC). Ces mêmes
touches, en fonction de la quantité, doivent être utilisées pour la distribution de capsules d'orge,
ginseng, cacao ou lait.
La touche C(la 3ème en partant de la gauche, illuminée en BLEU) ne doit être utilisée que pour
le « Café filtre » ou « Café américain ». Cette touche permet également d'utiliser des capsules de
thé, camomille ou tisanes.
Ne pas utiliser la touche Cpour l'expresso ou pour des cafés au goût intense. Dans cette fonction,
en effet, l'appareil est réglé sur une basse pression, ce qui réduit la crème, le goût du café et pour-
rait provoquer l'interruption de la distribution.
NOTA BENE : Dans le circuit de l’appareil, il se peut qu’il reste des traces du produit
venant d’être distribué. Pour préserver le plus possible le goût, il est recommandé, lors de
la distribution de lait, chocolat ou solubles, de rincer rapidement.
Pour ce faire, appuyer sur une touche quelconque (A ,Bou C) sans insérer la capsule.
Il est conseillé d’effectuer cette opération au moins une fois par semaine.
Distribution de café
• Soulever la poignée pour ouvrir le logement porte-capsules (Fig. 1).
• Introduire la capsule en la poussant à l’intérieur avec une légère pression (Fig. 2).
• Fermer complètement la poignée (Fig. 3).
• Placer une grande tasse/petite tasse sous la buse de distribution du café (Fig. 7 ou 8).
• Appuyer brièvement sur la touche Aou Ben fonction du café souhaité.
• La touche enfoncée clignote. La distribution s’arrête lorsque la quantité programmée est at-
teinte et la machine émet un signal sonore.
• Soulever la poignée pour éjecter la capsule qui tombe dans le réservoir approprié (Fig. 1).
• Fermer la poignée (Fig. 3).
NOTA BENE : les quantités de café distribué peuvent être programmées en fonction des
goûts personnels et des dimensions des tasses.
