SIM card stores information such as user identification, network settings, additional
service information and so on. The router supports 1.8V/3V/5V SIM card, and user can
insert SIM card without opening the enclosure.
The method to insert the SIM card:
Before powering the router, turn the side with metal contact surface up while putting it
on card tray. As picture showing:
After that, please turn the card tray 180 °to make the metal contact face down and
insert it to router. As picture showing:
Notice: Please do not insert or pull out the SIM card when router is charged!

4.1.4 Keep Alive
It’s a feature to detect the state of data transmission channel between router and Internet
in every few minutes automatically. If it detects an abnormal network state, router will
restart and re-dial automatically. This is used to achieve a function that router will keep
online all the time even if without administrator’s monitoring.
Please according to practical situation, type a reachable IP address in “Destination IP
1/2”. “Check Interval” and “Check Timeout” can be left in default value.

Notice:
a. If this function has been closed, then the router will not detect the network state, so
router will not restart and re-dial even if it’s offline.
b. The destination IP should be stable and reachable for router, for if destination is
unstable then it’ll cause the router to reboot constantly.
c. This function is used for public as default, so in private network, destination IP
should be modified.
4.2 Advance
4.2.1 Filter
It mainly used to filter wireless network data transmitting and receiving, to prevent
illegal and invalid data from gateway. It admits and refuses computers of LAN connected
with gateway to get access to WAN, or admits and refuses WAN to get access to LAN
connected with gateway.
Filter mode: Client IP filtering and MAC address filtering, client can select
according to their actual need.
Client IP filtering: Filter data according to IP address base on appointed policy to
admit or prevent corresponding IP address data.
MAC filtering: Filter data according to MAC address base on appointed policy to
admit or prevent corresponding MAC address data.
Running Rules: This device has two kinds running rules.
Discard matching following rule data packets: data packets comply to following
rules are not allowed to go through, other data packets can go through. Receiving matching
following rule data packets: only receive data packets comply to following rule, others are
discarded.

IP Filter
To realize IP address filtering rules appointing, revising and deleting.
Rule name:it is limited to use characters0-9.a-z.A-Z,also can’t repeat name.
LAN IP:Wireless gateway connected LAN IP address.
LAN Ports:LAN IP address host corresponding ports scope. Valid value is 0~65535,
please input from small to large.
WAN IP:Data packet destination IP address.
WAN Ports:Data packet destination ports scope. Valid value is 0~65535,please
input from small to large.
Protocol: data packet protocol, here are 3 types:
ALL: All types data packet.
TCP: All TCP packet.
UDP: All UDP packet.
Direction:data packet direction, used to decide which is original address, there are 3
types.
IN : From outside network to gateway.
OUT : Transmit from gateway LAN.
IN/OUT: Include IN and OUT
Interface: Data packet go through interface, such as br0,PPP0 and so on.
Example 1 of IP address filtering:
1. If select “start client IP address filtering”
2. Running rules select: “discard packets matching following rules ”,click “Apply” to save
running rule.
Instruction: If select “discard packets matching following rules”, default rule is: wireless
gateway allows all data to go through, but not allowed data packet to go through.
3. Input parameters in IP rule.
This example parameter is:
Name:enableipfilter01
LAN IP:192.168.1.23
WAN IP:121.204.201.13

Protocol:all
Direction:IN
Interface:PPP0
Read picture 4-2-3,then click “submit” to save IP filtering rule.
4. Explanation and Introduction
After this rule built, gateway will start IP address filtering function.According to running
rule “Discard packet matching following rule”, gateway discards all protocol data packets
(select “ALL”) from WAN “121.204.201.13”(select “IN”direction) in PPP0 interface
(select “PPP0”interface), but other IP address data packets don’t comply to this rule can
come and go normally.
Picture 4-2-3
Example 2 of IP address filtering:
1、select “setup client IP filter”
2、Running rule: “receive packet matches following rules”, click “Apply” to save.
Instruction:if running rule select “receive packet matches following rules”, default rule is :
Gateway forbids all data packet go through except data packet of picture
3. Input parameters in IP rule.
This example parameter:
Name:enableipfilter02
LAN IP:192.168.1.23

WAN IP:121.204.201.13
Protocol:all
Direction:IN/OUT
Interface:PPP0
Read picture 4-10-3,then click “Submit” to save.
4、Explanation and Instruction
After this rule built, gateway will start IP address filtering function. According to running
rule “Receive packet matching following rule”, gateway forbid all data packet to go
through, but only allow protocol data packets (select “ALL”) from WAN
“121.204.201.13”(select “IN/OUT” direction) to go through PPPO interface (select PPP0
interface). Usually this rule shields invalid IP address to go through gateway, can reduce
data flow, or as bank application, can shield other IP address access to bank IP address to
realize filtering functional and reduce data flow.
MAC Address Filter
Rule name:it is limited to use characters 0-9.a-z.A-Z,also can’t repeat name
MAC:Block or permit device MAC address, input format is“00:12:23:34:45:56”
Example 1:
1. If select “setup MAC address filtering”
2. Running rule select: “discard packet matching following fule ”
3. Input“00:00:23:34:45:56”in MAC.
So gateway will discard all data packet of MAC address “00:00:23:34:45:56”,
meanwhile permit all data packet which MAC address is not“00:00:23:34:45:56”to go

through.
Example 2 :
1. If select “setup MAC address filtering”
2. Running rule select: “receive packet matching following rule”
3. Input“00:00:23:34:45:56”in MAC.
So gateway only receive data packet which MAC address is “00:00:23:34:45:56”, and
discard all other data packet which MAC address is not “00:00:23:34:45:56”.
4.2.2 NAT/DMZ
NAT
The full name of NAT is “Network Address Translation”, also means port mapping. It’s
a technology that map private IP addresses to a WAN address’s different ports, which makes
devices in LAN can be accessed by Internet.
By setting these parameters, it’ll transfer the data from Internet to a specified host and
port in the LAN via port mapping.
Name: It’s used to identify different rules, so each name should be different. Please
name it with 0-9,a-z,A-Z, other characters will not be supported.
Protocol: There are three protocols can be chosen -- TCP, UDP and TCP/UDP.
External Port: WAN port.
Internal IP Address: The private IP address you want to map to external.
Internal Port: The port of internal host you want to map to external.
DMZ
In order to achieve the both-way communication, DMZ will expose a specified internal
host to Internet, that also means the host will play a role of virouteral server. When there are
