OPERATING HINTS
TheTillerisdesignedtobeusedongroundthatis
regularlycultivated.
It is not to be used on ground that has not been
previouslyturnedover.
A CAMON Rotavator (C8,C10,C12 or C14)
shouldbeusedfortheseconditions.
The Tiller is especially suited to vegetable
allotments,flowerbeds,etc.
Wet ground conditions should be avoided as the
earth will begin to “bind up” around the tines,
clogging the rotor assembly and causing damage
tothedrivebelt.

Donotworkonslopesinexcessof25 .
If working on a gentle slope always start at the
top and work across the slope pointing the
machineslightlyuphill.
If you lose control,let go of the machine and the
drivewillstopimmediately.
MAINTENANCE
After every hour of operation stop the engine
andchecktheengineoilandfuellevels.
Remove any foreign matter from the digging
tines.
Visuallycheckmachine.
Neverattemptanycleaningoradjustmentswhile
theengineisrunning.
Nevertipthemachineonitssideforcleaning.
BEWARE the exhaust cover will be hot after use
-DONOTTOUCH.

ALWAYS starttheengineintheopenair

ALWAYS stop the engine before making
any adjustments,refuelling,moving or
cleaning, or when the unit is
unattended
DO NOT remove any safety guards that
arefitted
DO NOT touch any moving parts or
attempt any maintenance whilst the
machine is running - KEEP HANDS
AND FEET AWAY
BEFORE starting work clear the work
area of any objects that could damage
themachine
DO NOT allow children or anyone
uninstructed to operate the machine -
KEEP ANIMALS AWAY

personal protection including

KNOW how to stop the machine in an
emergency
NEVER interfere with any control

IF A FAULT develops DO NOT attempt
any repair - immediately contact the
supplier from whom the machine was
obtained
TO START THE
ENGINE
Check the engine oil level - top up with
10w/40oilifnecessary.
Never re-fuel when the engine is hot or
running.
Allow1”airspaceinthetank.
Switchignitionto‘ON’position.
If the engine is cold,move the choke lever to
‘ON’position.
Turnthefueltapto‘ON’position.
Setthrottleleverto¼position.
Pull the recoil start handle gently until it is
engaged,then give the handle a strong pull to
starttheengine.
When the engine been started for a few
seconds, move the choke lever to ‘OFF’
position.
Returnthethrottlelevertotick-over.
Checkfuellevel.
Only use unleaded petrol from a clean
container.
OPERATION
Raise the transport wheel by pulling it
downwardsto release it from thelower locking
point.
Swing the wheel upwards and locate it into the
toplockingpoint.
Set the depth control drag bar - initially on the
bottomhole.
Raisethethrottletohalfspeed.
Apply a little downward pressure on the
handlebarsandlifttheoperatinglevertoengage
thetines. Commencedigging.
As the machine digs into the ground,raise the
handlebars a little to obtain a slow forward
motion.
Ifthemachine tries to go forward too fast apply
a little downward pressure on the handlebars
andlowerthedragbarifnecessary.
TO STOP THE
ENGINE
Releasetheoperatinglevertostopthetines.
Returnthethrottlelevertotick-over.
Switchtheignitionto‘OFF’position.
Turnthefueltapto‘OFF’position.
